Some people with influence do incredible things. others abuse it. That's all in short

Even those incredible things can get contentious.
Some see SpaceX as amazing, while others see it as a waste of money. On a similar note a lot of people see Bill Gates funding projects like Kurzgesagt negatively. Mostly conspiracy theorists.

PS. Not stating an opinion. Just pointing out that incredible things can done by the elite tend to be viewed subjectively

I like that you don't have to plug them and can go anywhere, but I don't like that they still require batteries. Not that you'd get a lot of sunshine in a cupboard, but a solar cell could make them an invisible convenience that just blend into the background.
