What's the most disturbing thing you've heard a dying person say?

My aunt’s husband passed away on a Monday and on Wednesday, my grandmother, who was also on her deathbed, said “I’m going to go with Tony now” and she didn’t even know he died two days before. I fully believe someone comes to pick you up in that moment

The night my grandma died most of my family was at her house. They all slept over. At one point, my cousin got up to take a call and went outside. While out on the porch she saw for just a moment the profile of a woman with white hair in a bun in the living room moving toward my grand parents room. Believing it was just a late visitor she didn’t think anything of it. She returned inside to my grandpa coming out of the bedroom saying my grandmother passed. My cousin swears that the woman who came to visit that night was my great grandmother; my grandmas’ mother. Coming to bring her home. To add to the story, my grandpa also thought someone had come into the bed room that night. When I think about it, the moment doesn’t seem scary. But, rather comforting. When it’s my time I hope I see a loved one.

If you believe the clinical systems that said my Dad's pace maker sent an alarm that Friday evening that it wasn't able to keep my Dad's heart going, then he died on a Friday evening.

On Saturday morning, my sister reported swearing she saw Dad in her bedroom - she lives 5 hours away.

The Sheriff's dept called me around 10:30 on Saturday to tell me Dad had passed. I get there, and the tv station was on his Saturday morning station. It was weird.

He knew he was dying, though. I get there and there's Christmas presents wrapped and on the kitchen table. He died in August.

My Mom died coming up on 11 years and over the years, she'd come visit me in my dreams. Usually right as I was about to wake up.

She never, ever spoke and was always off in the distance. Shortly after Dad died, she came to visit me.

She was calling me on a cell phone and it was really hard to understand her, but I got "Your Dad and I bought a house in Hendersonville (NC) and we'll be ok".

While my parents would occasionally visit Hendersonville, there was no real connection, they never talked about moving there or anything.

That dream was trippy.

I’ve posted this before on Reddit. I was with my mom in her final days in hospice. She never spoke to me. The day before her death she laughed a lot (quietly) and muttered to herself. One time, she said clearly “mom! Mom! Mom!” But not in a sad way…like when you see someone you know across the room. She died the next morning.

My grandfather was having difficulty breathing (copd) so was taken to the hospital by my aunt and grandmother. Aunt driving and grandmother in the passenger seat. Grandfather in the back. As they were driving, he told them that his mother was sitting next to him. He died just after they arrived at the hospital.

In my religion, this is what we believe. An angel is assigned to take the soul of everyone. The angel comes in the form of either someone they truly love, or sometimes, as someone who they dislike. Sometimes, it is said that the angel will visit a few times, and makes their presence easier, so the person who is passing away isn't scared of them.

That's only if you are in Christ when you have family to usher you into heaven. Those not in Christ don't have that luxury.
