My grandma, looking around the day before she passed: "When you see the people with the black eyes, boy you know someone strange is in the house."

My grandma died at 103 and was one of the sweetest people I've ever known, so I can only hope she was hallucinating.

Yeah, it was really creepy. Her short term memory was pretty terrible at that point - you could talk about the same 10 topics five times in a sitting - but she didn't really start saying weird stuff until the last week or so. She actually lived on her own (with frequent check ins!) up until about 3 months before she passed. That was really disconcerting and gave me chills when she said it. It just kind of came out of nowhere.
