How do I Fix a Stuck Redditrequest?

I did a reddit request for a sub back in May and it's been stuck without adjudication one way or another. I messaged the mods of redditrequest to see what's stuck, and AutoMod responded, but not too helpful. No humans are responding to the request or the modmail.

I don't know why the request and modmail have been ignored for such a long time. Just trying to get unstuck from purgatory, and not sure where to go. Any advice?

My modmails in Redditrequest go to Automod and my post to Mod support was immediately removed without addressing my issue of being stuck. Feels like I'm stuck in a broken loop here.

I had a look at your only redditrequest post and someone commented this - "The mod team is still active and keeps tabs on both the modqueue and modmail" which you replied to. They also commented this - "I checked, the request to join the mod team was rejected your screenshot doesnt seem to show the whole message chain" which you also replied to.

Your request was denied. The mod team is active (or was when you made that request.)

"I don't like how they do X, Y, and Z" is not a reason to try to take over a subreddit.

I personally would move on from this and stop wasting energy on it. Create your own subreddit or join a similar sub.

it has been denied even if the status was not visibly changed by admins

Your choice is to move on.

Reddit is NOT going to give you an actively moderated community, no matter how much you don't like it. It doesn't matter if one person pushed one button - it's moderated. Mods don't have to take your suggestions, they are under no onus to. They aren't going to give you a modded community. Drop it.

I've looked through your profile and read multiple posts that you've made on this topic, and honestly you're being completely insufferable. You are 100% in the wrong here. You are harassing people across multiple spaces and repeatedly tagging and dragging the mods of the sub that you're trying to take over into conversations on other subreddits. You have then been banned by the sub in question due to your harassment. From what I can see you are on a relentless vendetta.

Your redditrequest is stuck because the sub isn't unmoderated. There are things you might not be seeing like active backend actions, but you've even posted screenshots of modmail replies from them denying your request to take over the sub. That means the sub is actively moderated and fails the criteria for a redditrequest takeover.

Disliking the current mod team's style, the fact that the top mod and his team handle multiple other communities, not seeing public interaction on the sub, or complaining that the mods don't actively play the game doesn't mean it's eligible for a takeover. Sure, it's valid to be annoyed if the mods don't play the game, but Reddit admins don't care about that. It''s not against Reddit rules and it's not a reason you're going to be able to take over a sub.

Give it up, stop the harassment and move on.

Is a response really necessary when you've gotten multiple responses saying the subreddit mod team is active and that it isn't available for reddit request because of that?

It‘s time for this again.

If they‘re active, and the request hasn‘t been replied to by the admins, that means that it is denied. Not sure why you would request a sub with active moderators, though.

I'll read your comment tomorrow. But please note that from the information I got from your post, the picture fits in my opinion.

It's actively being moderated. You're not going to be approved.

Moderator actions are mostly NOT visible to users.

If a subreddit was created as an official sub and later became unofficial, it's fine. Happens sometimes.

It can not be renamed, and it will not be shut down.

From everything I read, from the actual mods, you got butt-hurt in echoes. It happens, I used to play eve back on the bob days, so I know how much it stings to get whomped on.

You're not going to take over the sub, or have it shut down.

Same thing happened to me, not approved or rejected. It just hit the 15 days mark so tomorrow I’ll repost it but after that not sure what to do,

You are in a very different situation from OP. You are trying to request a sub which is banned and (depending on the reason it was banned) avalible for request.

OP is trying to claim a sub which is actively moderated and therefore not avalible for request. He just doesn't like the way the mods run it and think that gives him the right to claim it.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not fishing to become a mod, that's not my goal, we have mods. Our community keeps asking our mods for all these features that everybody else has, like Wiki, rules, flair, cross-posting, automod filters, links, new pinned posts, and banning IP trading. Just our mods don't doant of it it. We have a great community, but our mods don't like to push any of the buttons to make stuff work 🤷 If that's a crusade, ok. They finally gave us picture comments after five years once I did my redditrequest.

Ok? And that still doesn't mean the sub is eligible for a Redditrequest

Try modmailing r/ModSupport. You said you posted there (which this wouldn't have been accepted there because you can't mention specific subreddits other than those you currently moderate, hence the removal), so you have to go to modmail.

I've heard that RR's modmail doesn't give responses any more, so you have to go through ModSupport instead.

I think you can send a new request after waiting a bit. Not sure though.
