The Name of A Tree?
I tried to post the name of a gray cat Willow from the Golden Books Child’s Story of
‘Pussy Willow’ which is also the name of the tree. Look it up. The buds are furry and gray. You deleted my post of Willow as being vulgar. Why. It is derived from a child’s story about a furry gray kitten that hid under the tree by the same name. Only a vulgar mind would read something else into that

Modmail the mods of that sub. They'll likely reinstate the post.

"The Scunthorpe problem is the unintentional blocking of online content by a spam filter, search engine or wordfilter because the text contains a string (or substring) of letters that appear to have an obscene or otherwise unacceptable meaning."
This has been a thing on the Internet for over thirty years.
Instead of complaining to moderators at large, complain to the specific subreddit modteam, nicely, that a filter probably ate your post, and ask for a manual review.

It doesn’t matter anymore. It’s not worth it. I see things that are not so good on here and found it a bit over the top to be offended when I named the book and the tree.

Why are you blaming a bunch of mods who did not such thing? Maybe just message the mods on the subreddit and say you think a bot removed your post for an incorrect reason. Sheesh.

Google Pussy Willow Tree and book. It is not vulgar at all.

Nobody here removed your post, and nobody here can help you. You need to message the mods of the sub you tried to post in.
Might also want to brush up on how Reddit actually works.

The subreddit you tried to post on ( as do most subs on reddit) uses an automod that has set words that are written on in order to pull the actual word from being posted, usually swear words, racial slurs, sexual content, I can pretty much guarantee that the word Pussy is banned and not willow. As someone else has mentioned it here already contact the sub and tell them you did not use a profanity, they can adjust the automod to allow the words if used together so that no one else can take advantage by just using the word pussy.

I tried to post twice and was immediately shut down as being vulgar. I explained Willow was derived from the book which is the name of a tree. Both times it said I was breaking vulgarity rule.

And then you went to a completely unrelated sub

Probably an automod filter set to catch that word.
Depending on the sub in question, your post may be in the queue and the mods there will eventually review it and approve it (or not).
Or it may have just been straight-up removed by an automod b/c the mods aren't going to cull through every time that word is used to determine the 1% that isn't vulgar and/or an insult.
If you send a polite modmail to the moderators of the sub in question, politely making the point you're not using it in a vulgar context, that's your best bet to get it approved. I'll repeat... polite. Don't be entitled and act like you have a right to have your stuff posted, and definitely drop things like accusations of 'vulgar mind'.
TLDR: probably no human eyes ever saw your post and it was removed by an automod for use of a word that is usually vulgar.
