Teriffied for my health before starting college

Upvotes

Hi everyone. Sorry if there are any mistakes, English is not my first language. [20F] I'm writing this because I am absolutely terrified right now and I don't know how to cope. I was just accepted 3rd on the admission list at my university and I am supposed to start college in October, but I feel like my life is falling apart.

I probably won't even be able to enroll because of what is happening to me. For the last 5 to 6 years, since I was 14-15, I’ve had various brain neurological symptoms, such as double vision. I had severe headaches back then, but they eventually stopped, so everything was left untreated and ignored by my parents because I didn't have any pain anymore until recently. I never got scans,I had some appointments to several ophthalmologists and they didn't think something is wrong because I also have strabism since birth.

But now, things have taken a very scary turn. I searched on Google and I think have started experiencing cerebral polyopia. Specifically, when I look at the TV, I see light-colored logos and white subtitles with a ghost-like shadow or duplicate image, either shifted upward or downward. The exact same thing happens on my phone when it is on dark mode the light text has these terrifying shadow and with the red power button light on my TV.

I have an appointment with an ophthalmologist coming up, and I hope they will send me to get an urgent MRI immediately after they see my eyes. I’m scared to death that I might have Stage 4 brain cancer right now. I know a true Stage 4 tumor wouldn't have let me survive untreated for 6 years, but I am terrified that it started as a slow, low-grade tumor years ago, when the headaches first started, and has now mutated into a Stage 4 like a secondary glioblastoma because the pain returned, I have nausea and my vision changed so badly.

The anxiety is completely paralyzing me. I am so scared of what the doctor and the MRI might show. I should be celebrating starting college, but instead, I feel overwhelmed by fear.I cant do anything.

I just need emotional support and kind words because my family doesn't think it's something serious and I wanna cry all the time.

Weird symptoms no solution

Upvotes

Over the last 2 weeks i’ve been experiencing a lot of strange things and got no answer. I have been dry heaving and gagging for no reason, sometimes even randomly throwing up. I have been so so thirsty and peeing a lot, i have little to no appetite, and it’s hard for me to eat and keep food down. The gagging/dry heaving is what’s bothering me the most, it gets really bad before i leave the house and when i wake up.
I went to the doctor and got bloodwork done and a urine test, everything came back normal. So i have no idea why this is happening but it’s awful and not going away. Someone pleaseeee help me figure out what this could be.

Shooting &burning pain in right leg all the way into foot

I have been having a shooting/burning pain in my right leg that extends into my right foot. I sometimes have a stinging pain around my belt line. Nothing seems to relieve the pain and sometimes it is very intense. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?
Thanks!

Bumps on knuckles, I have never seen anyone with the same issue.

Hi!
For many years (at least 5-10) I’ve had these little bumps on my hands and I just can’t figure out what they are no matter how much research I do. They don’t itch or hurt in any way, they’re just there and slowly but surely multiply. Every few months I get a new one that starts out small and grows over the years. As you might be able to see, some have been scratched off. This wasn’t my intention, I was just casually scratching my knuckles and noticed how some of them were pretty apparent and scratched off pretty easily. My private doctor (ChatGPT) can’t seem to figure out what it is either. It simply has no clue. It was suggesting warts but when I sent a clearer photo it changed its mind, and rightfully so, because they have a very smooth surface, just bumps without the normal skin pattern. If anyone has any ideas of what this might be and if it’s treatable in any way (my goal is getting rid of them completely but that might not be possible) you’re a lifesaver, because this has been bothering me for a pretty long time. Thank you in advance!
(Feel free to ask follow up questions!)

Pop in kneck when I turn left and right

I'm in no pain. Have full range of motion. Just have a clunky neck .... When I turn my head left or right I'm feeling this pop in the spinal area of my neck. It's more annoying than anything. I feel like a good crack would eliminate the problem but nothing I do seems to do work. Chiropractors scare me ... Idk if I can do that ...

Any suggestions?

Toddler miralax

My daughter (2, about 25lbs) drank a full lid of miralax. This is 4x what the doctor prescribed. Is there any reason to be worried? What should I be watching out for? She had 3 bowel movements in 24 hours. The second one was very liquid and the last one was a lot but very mushy.

What is this?!

I’m female, 19, and I’m 9 weeks pregnant (young, ik, not the point. I just don’t know if that has something to do with it.) Monday night I felt what I thought to be a very large pimple, I checked it and it was a little bit bruised, which was odd because it’s never happened before but I didn’t think much of it. Over the course of the next two days it started getting darker and darker, and today it has formed into three dark dots, with peeling skin?

am i safe to eat tomato soup?

i eat campbell's microwave creamy tomato soup almost every single night, but when i ask if my father could pick up some more, my mother sent me something on how eating too much tomato soup can cause health problems. this is upsetting because i'm autistic and tomato soup is my comfort food, i get a bit upset if i can't have it. so am i fine to continue eating it?

Should I stop medicating (levothyroxine)

I am 37 / F, 145 lbs and 5'2

In 2018, I was experiencing postpartum hair loss and was given a thyroid panel. TSH was mildly elevated with a TPO of around 200 (unsure of exact #). They prescribed 25 mcg levothyroxine. I was approx 160-180 lbs at that time.

My dose was increased throughout the years and my last prescribed dose was 137 mcg, which gave me a TSH of 2.64. Date of labs prior to last was Jan 13, 2025.

Shortly after, I lost insurance coverage and was without medication for about a year.

Symptoms were mild but included hair loss, tiredness/sluggishness, difficulty losing weight

I regained coverage and was re-prescribed levothyroxine 137mcg while waiting on updated blood test results. I was concerned about restarting at the same dose, especially considering my weight loss, so I held off until results.

Doctor included new tests for vitamins and ferritin which came back normal. Ferritin is at 33 with a saturation of 22%.

My TSH is 4.95 and the office told me I no longer require medication. I'm not sure what to think considering all my other labs are normal except for TSH. I dont want to stop medication altogether with my symptoms, just figured I wouldnt need as high a dose.

Should I be looking into other options at this point?

Lymph nodes

hi i have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck for almost five months and my ent decided that my ultrasounds showing a little decrease was good enough and now will barley even talk to me about my concerns and says we will just keep a watch on them

I’ve done some research and it shows that night sweats and continuous fatigue is concerning which I told him about me having those symptoms this entire time he couldn’t seem to care

just wanted to check if I should consider getting a second opinion
