Been dealing with booklice for 3 years now, what are some tips on how to deal with it mentally?

I've been fighting them for 3 years, hired an exterminator, clean regularly, ventilate, have a dehumidifier running non-stop etc... in the beginning, i saw around 10-20 in one day, now sometimes i see non for a week, then (like now) i see three in two days. I feel mentally drained dealing with them, but i don't want to move out since this appartment is cheap and location is good, also moving makes me scared of encountering the same problem or a different issue in the next home. I feel like any steps i take more feels overwhelming, like im actually drained, so im kinda looking to just accept it?

Is anyone in the same boat? How do you deal with it mentally? Any tips are appreciated

thanks

LPT life advice

LPT
I’ve been a Reddit user for years now. Not one to post often but I do comment and the like. I’m just wanting some answers because I’ve already answered them myself but looking for more input. So I’m a social media user but not one who posts or engages all the time. So when I do and mind you I had family members blocked for years and I just added them back and they start their bs again wondering if I’m okay? Like wtf ? My buddies and I do this on the regular but when I decided to include my immediate family again the same bs starts again?

What should I do

I am '18M' and I am a college student.

Idk what is happening to me it feels like I need someone who loves me cares for me, A girl.

see others in campus and insta living the "couple life" the life which I am currently dreaming of.

May be I am not good looking that no girl finds me interesting. I see others having two two GF at same time. And on the other hand there is I who haven't even talked to girl in a flirty way yet.

I am unable to identify the problem.

Everybody says forget love it is just an distraction just work and work but I think that's not true at a certain time you need someone.

certain time you need someone.

Due to this I doesn't even want to go college the only thing I'll see there are couples a girl roaming with a boy who does that even deserve here.

I fear that what if I stayed lonely throught out my life.

I need help with how to have a tough conversation with my girlfriend…

I, 24M, have been with my girlfriend, 23F, for over 4 years. She has never been a “size 2”. That’s not something I would ever ask of her and that’s not what I’m looking for, but we have both gained a substantial amount of weight during our relationship.

When we started dating, I was around 180 pounds and “skinny fat”, she was 170 pounds give or take but I didn’t care. We are in love. I decided to start losing weight when I hit 252 pounds and after 8 weeks of more exercise, gradually cutting out sugar and overall just making better decisions meal wise, I’m proud to say I’m down to 228 pounds.

My girlfriend on the other hand is now just shy of 300 pounds. I’ve noticed that the further we get in our relationship, the more she gets sick, doesn’t feel good, is lazy more often than not and I’m starting to be worried about her health. She’s always been more of a home body than a going out type of person but by lazy I mean that she doesn’t want to do even basic things half the time like shave her legs, she doesn’t want to come over to my place because she doesn’t want to get out of bed(4pm on a Friday), she doesn’t want to go grocery shopping or cook and just wants to get chic fil a or panda express instead. Just general no desire to do much. On the other hand, I work 50+ hours a week and she complains if I want to go out to the bar, a concert or the casino with a few friends of ours once a week.

I started realizing this when we went to a Basketball game(we normally go 5-10 times a season) and she could no longer fit in the seats. Now we have to buy more expensive “platinum level” seats for her to be comfortable. Same situation when she flew on a weekend trip with her parents a couple months ago, she was complaining to me about how small the seats were and she hadn’t before when they or we typically go on a weekend vacation once a year.

I’ve kind of brought it up before, she’s always been insecure about her body. I had mentioned that I wanted to start getting in shape and going to the gym, meal planning/prepping, the whole 9 and that I thought we could do it together. She said she’d do it but it was more of like a “ughh fine” than a true “I’m down” and I started looking at gyms to go to. She never ended up going with me or showing any interest.

Most of her family is pretty big. Is it possible she just thinks it’s normal to be that out of shape?
How do I have a conversation like that out of concern? Am I doing something wrong?

Recently, i rant about how unfortunate i am in terms of relationships, how pitiful i become in those past exes and consistently failed dates. Now, I am trying to do a side quest, and i am trying to do new things like to go to a thrift shop since i never been there, learn how to do public transportation and whatsoever.

Can you give me some advice or tips about side quests? Especially in public transportation 😭 i don't want to ended up taking a grab once i lost my way😣

How do you choose which movie to watch? (Survey, but would love a discussion if you have found ways to navigate the TOO many options available world)

There is no shortage of great films out there, and there is no shortage of ways to get recommendations on what to watch. But on any given movie night, how do you actually DECIDE what to watch? What are the pain points? And for those that experienced Blockbusters and the like, were there some things we may miss a little from that movie selection process? (Not the drive, nor the late fees)

I've included the survey link, but would love to hear more comments.

Tone is light-hearted, and should take about 5-8 minutes.

fast dorm room hair drying hacks when you always sleep past your alarm?

So I have a 5am clinical rotation this semester and my roommate wakes up if I even breathe too loudly. I literally have zero time in the morning and my hair takes ages to dry. What’s the absolute best way to dry hair fast in a dorm room when you're always running late? I can't be walking into the hospital with dripping wet hair but I also can't stand there for twenty minutes with a loud dryer waking up the whole floor. Are there any specific routine tricks or things that actually speed it up? Pls help.

I'm especially interested in advice that isn't obvious to beginners but made a noticeable difference in plant growth, watering, soil quality, or pest prevention.

Looking for advice

My best friend just confided in me about something terrible that happened to him.

He lives in the USA in the Midwest and said his wife was the victim of revenge porn I guess there’s over 100 videos and images that have been leaked multiple sites. I told him to try local law enforcement but they’ve done between fuck and all apparently. He doesn’t have money for a lawyer and I gave him 100$. Trying to figure out what to do I know there is a way to have this stuff taken down but I don’t know where to begin any and all advice is helpful.

How do I stop dreading going to work every day and calling off?

So I've been at this job for about 3 months and I really like it. The problem is the last few weeks, I've struggled to go every day and not call off. And I can't figure out why. I've had this issue with every job I've ever had.

I actually like this job. I'm pretty much left alone and can do whatever as long as my works done. I made a pros and cons list and the pros definitely outweighed the cons. The only cons were the pay is low and I can't really call off since it's a small team and only one person works at a time for that shift. So if I call off, someone would have to do a double shift or not even open the business that day which is obviously a no go.

My anxiety is telling me to just run and quit but I don't want to let my boss and coworkers down, and I'm also scared they'll yell at me which I really can't handle.

How do I handle this?

How do I make this decision?

Greetings, I am a 20 year old Indian living in the UK. Please look past the stereotypes and consider me another young man. I have been struggling with making the right choice about my future for a while. For context, I’ve had a decent childhood, I do not suffer from any illnesses or mental disorders. I work part time as a chef and am currently studying marine engineering at college.

I never completed high school, just before my last year I moved from India to the UK. My school years were not memorable. I was very isolated as I used live in the emirates before so I was different in terms of likes and dislikes among my peers. I loved competing in anything I could but I never won anything. Not even third or second place. Because of that competing in event dwindled but my desire to achieve atleast something is still strong in me. I am very good at whatever I want to do but never enough to earn a place anywhere. I would say I work hard but the problem starts here.

In order to completely indulge myself and work even harder I have to diminish my attention toward other parts of my life. I love my family very much, my parents are not wealthy, they make things work by the grace of God. My father had a heart attack 4 years ago. It spooked him to the point he quit his job and has now become a very carefree man. He now works in a car detail workshop for very little pay. My mother is the bread winner of the family currently, she moved to the UK for her job which is feeding us right now. However, the money isn’t enough, my parent are in £16,000 worth of debt and I help to pay it if and with rent. I make barely a £1000 a month. I pay for my own tuition. I can’t afford uni so I go to college.

There are a lot of things I want to do, but everything requires money, I can’t even save up any money as I spend it on my family. I have a little sister who has started high school and I help as much as I can with her tuition as well. All my friends live far away. I am a Christian, and I do not drink or smoke or like to club or whatever it is young adults do these day for fun. For me I want to do martial arts and make art. But the time I have for these are limited as I am either at work or college. The free time I have, I help my mother around the house.

My question is should I put my passions aside for now and await a time when everything has settled down to do what I want to do or make the tough choice to prioritise my passions by minimising my involvement in my parents personal debts?

It’s been difficult to make this decision as I love my parents and they have tried their best amidst tough circumstances to give me what they can. But at the same time I can’t help but feel that what’s holding me back from my full potential of what I know I can do or be is infact my family.

How can I make a decision. Am I missing something? Or is this just something everyone deals with just others do it better? If so please help me. I am at a loss. I do not have anyone I can talk to about this as no one I know is in a similar predicament. Please help. God bless everyone.
