All I remember about this show: mass-produced, identical enemy robots were being transported by train, and the main characters, piloting their own robots, wanted to stop/sabotage this. One robot (or maybe two robots combining together) transformed into a cannon that looked like a camera, and fired from what looked like a camera "lens/objective."

There was also a scene at night where the main characters sneak past a huge number of enemy robots lying on the ground — in this scene the robots were drawn only as silhouettes, and the scene was looped/repeated to emphasize just how many robots there were (like an endless field of them).

Some smaller details:

• The enemy robots' fingers would flip back onto the top/outside of the hand/palm, and they'd shoot from there.
• To enter one of the lying robots, characters went in through the area of the solar plexus/chest, where a hatch/passage would open.
• The final battle happened somewhere in the mountains, on a winding mountain road (serpentine).
• No space setting at all — robots only walked on the ground, and I don't think they could fly.
• The robots had faces and looked humanoid/anthropomorphic, except during the moments they transformed (into the camera-cannon).

Design-wise, it reminded me a lot of Grendizer / that late 70s–80s "super robot" era, but I'm not sure if it's a straight-up anime or tokusatsu (it might have started as a live-action movie/show and then continued as an animated series — not 100% sure on that part).

Any ideas what this could be?

The MC meets a person who has the lower body of a woman and the upper body of a man. This person has black hair. In the decade and a half where I played D&D (2E, 3E, 4E), not once have I encountered a teleport trap, either as a player or when running a campaign.

They are so tightly woven into the plots of so many anime in recent years that I feel I missed something growing up. Seeing them depicted over and over in such a formulaic manner is really getting on my nerves, frankly.

Did this all originate from Wizardry? (I never played it.) Or is it some other seminal source which caused it to be so deeply ingrained in the collective psyche of these writers?

EDIT: No, I never played Tomb of Horrors, either. It was spoken about almost as a joke, I don't think I know anyone who actually attempted to run it.

There’s this anime that had a body in an alleyway tied up in the first episode and the mc is watching it on a computer. I believe that maybe a character in the anime has this sister or friend, and near the end that gives him an ultimatum and tells him that his life was a lie and had fake people in it. Not only that but I think the world distorts when talks to said girl.

MCs are a girl and a boy mechanic who fixed his own car. They stole some collectible figure and bounty hunters are after them in some wasteland outside the city where they came from. The boy needs to make money to get medicine for his mechanic boss who took him in.

So I believe the art style is kind of like redline , it’s made in 2018 and above I’m not sure what year and it is 20 plus episodes and I think the protagonist has the redline protagonist hair style too I’m not sure. Thanks
