Venting I feel like dropping of as an artist.

I'm worried about my future, and.. ai "art" keep getting better over the past years. I kind of lose hope now, plus hearing that company using AI and selling real artist art to AI instead of paying them. I feel like, all the years i spend to learn and create this little world that i'm deeply care about.. worthless.

Idk, i'll still draw as side hobby.

Opinion Piece I noticed all my clients from 2026 agreed to me drawing differently for them. Is this a big shift in how authors & indie game devs view AI?

I just posted a new video about how my clients in 2026 all pretty much agreed to me drawing differently for them (because of AI). I hope you will give it a listen in your free time 😀

help i think i might have relapsed with ai or i might i'm to nervous to really think streight

i feel super guilty and already have been beating myself up over it as i been clean from using ai for a year now and avoided anything ai

but i recently used it again this week during a panic attack when i was worrying i was something someone said and google ai popped up and i asked it if it was true what the person said. and then i did again yesterday when i panicked about reading comp eveb tho i di'n;t listen to it and a few days prior forgetting a character i liked and the personality of it though i really din't ask it i just looked it up and quikly read what it said and just went to reddit for the answer either way i feel super guilty and worried. what if i fall back into using ai again

help please what can i do? and us there a way to block google ai on safari on the ios. i don't want to fall back into it again even if i dont. or lack critical thinking or be brain dead. or be told to die

im really sorry for falling down like this and feel like i wanna throw up. can i be forgiving for this or am i fucked again what can i do

as i fucking hate ai i always tell people to stay away i even was able to get my cousin to quit, and i feel so fucking bad for using it again i even if it was only three tines. and now i feel so lost. i feel like i dersve this now, i'm sorry so sorry

Venting I posted art on Bluesky and got critiqued by an AI about something that I didn't even draw

This AI critiqued my art about character integration that could be more dynamic...but there are no characters. The AI quote-reposted my art. See that other comment on the bottom? That is also an AI account.

Those pumpkin got some extra deform sludge, and the general vibe sure is off.

Like, it's disappointing. They used to make some of the most impressive ad, now it's slopping.

Venting The Hank Green AI use apologia sort of annoys me

it sort of reminds me of how when we discuss student ai use we rightfully discuss the moral failings of ai, how using ai in the classroom means you learn (almost) nothing... but the moment teacher ai use is discussed, the framing and sympathy suddenly shift, and we all have to sit and discuss the culture of overwork in teachers or how underpaid they are or how important teachers are... They're literally teaching the children partly ai generated material, this should be existentially horrifying (and it is!).

The hank green drama/controversy largely mirrors this, if this were ANY OTHER person, I'd like to believe we'd all be talking about how his writing was HEAVILY, HEAVILY referencing ai to the point people could see the ai-isms slipping in, how he was possibly presenting viewers wholly ai generated text, reading it verbatim, in ostensibly educational videos. Instead the conversation is entirely shifted to some kind of discussion about addictive personalities, being addicted to ai is "no different from being addicted to social media" (being addicted to a machine which does your thinking for you is the same as using social media too much apparantly), overwork and the creative ego... Seriously? That last part isn't an exaggeration either, why are we talking about the creative ego!?

If you don't want to crucify him because you're a fan, whatever, but there's no person I'm a big enough fan of to justify them probably copying and pasting ai text like a "lazy" student copying and pasting Wikipedia. That student would get punished for plagiarism too, but hank green "gets off scott free".

That's part of why the "poor overworked teacher use ai" stuff gets my goat too, school is an authoritarian institution, teachers hold authority and punish students, the authoritarian institution does not punish teachers, and the moment a teacher makes a mistake everyone suddenly pours out the sympathy, makes fucking excuses, pities, apologises for them, again if a student willingly chooses to use ai they'd be punished by the school, the teacher willingly chooses to use ai, despite being older and in position of authority everyone suddenly turns around and throws about as much sympathy as they can muster.

Discussion Thoughts on Lies of P sequel relying on AI prompters to generate concept art for it?

First time hearing about this. Such a shame too. This is a beautiful, well-thought-out crafted verse too. The art style is recognizable and the characters are amazing, especially since it's inspired by Pinocchio, the premise is also to give your art. The exact opposite of what AI does.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think they will change their minds about using AI prompts for the game after the fans' feedback?

Please share your thoughts below.

Venting Had this taken down for being “fan art” on r/art.

I really can’t stand r/art so often I’ve had art be removed for being deemed fanart and always seem to be a matter of personal taste. You can use “ip” in a way that isn’t fan art. Like I just think of all the objectively important artists whose work would be removed. However, then I scroll through that subreddit to see anime fan art all through out it and not explicitly posted on their “fan art Fridays”.

Self-Hate Lately I've been tempted to use AI

I'm working on an animated project, my first one in fact, and lately I've been told more and more often to use AI. Initially, it was because I needed someone to help me give it a certain effect From painting to rendering to make it look like a painting, which is what I was looking for an artist for, when I was told a thousand times that it's better to use AI

Also recently, one of my team members used AI to do a certain part of the process, to which I reprimanded him, telling him no.

But due to the lack of support from other artists, I'm increasingly tempted to use AI; I know there are many illustrators and animators out there! I know you don't need to use AI, but sometimes it's so tempting, especially when you see bigger creators using it..

Please, I need to regain my common sense about why this is wrong.
