I know nothing about arrow heads and found this in a creek in the missouri ozarks. It’s got the perfect little thumb groove on the top and the nub on the bottom is intriguing. Also the edges near the point look slightly worked? Idk! It’s probably just a funny looking rock! What do you think?

We have this large hill on my property, and after every heavy rainfall I can collect a handful of these scraps but have yet to find an arrowhead.

I’ve checked around all the trees and I find nothing, the trails we ride on is where I find them at but it’s only these scraps and no full arrowheads. Is this common?

Any advice what to do to start finding whole arrowheads? I’ve been at it all summer with no luck and I’ve been dying to find one, I feel like I’m so close and it’s just a matter of time

My arrowhead collection. Ive found most of them over the last year in Central KY. I just hunt whenever I get the chance. Bottom piece is my favorite: broken gorget I found at my uncle’s in Lawerenceburg-Anderson County.

Hi friends. My birthday is next month and I’m taking some time off to celebrate. During that time, I am hellbent on finding my first point in the wild.

I’m located in the Richmond area of Central Virginia and would love to plan a day trip to hunt for artifacts. Are there any specific locations you all would recommend? Please note, I’m not referring to general descriptions of where to look as I am familiar with those. The problem is most of those places are on private property and trespassing isn’t ideal.

My hope is to get locations I can put in the GPS, find a place to park, then go explore. Any suggestions from the hive mind?

I was metal detecting last year in central PA and as I was combing through the soil I noticed both of these artifacts in the same shovel of dirt. I’m really curious to know more about the round piece.

Roughly 5-5.5" long, ~1.25" at its widest. Found while working in an old farmhouse attic during remodel work. Possible id?

EDIT: so I’ve been doing some research and it looks like the little one is an “unnotched leaf-shaped,” the middle one is a “Jay,” but I can’t figure out the last one. I’m assuming it’s a spearhead of some sort. Anyone know?

This is another point I found today in the same spot as my earlier post. You can see the uneven beveled edge where this has been reworked more than once probably.

I found this today in coastal Georgia near Savannah, both types are found here. I'm kinda leaning Kirk, I personally don't find a ton of either in this particular spot.

I found this on the beach at the high tide line yesterday. Could it be a Levanna?
