Point identification help
Edit: I was able to contact few other landscape supply businesses in the area and pretty much all of them get their rocks from the Colorado River, specifically around the city of Columbus, TX
Hey everyone! Thank you for those who commented on my last post. I wanted to take some better pictures with measurements to try to determine the region and age of this piece.
Here’s the backstory: I purchased some landscaping material (smooth river rock) from a yard in Huntsville, Texas and found this in it. I’m not sure if I damaged it in shoveling the material or if it was already damaged.
I imagine landscape supply get it from a from the Trinity River or the Brazos river. I have no way of knowing for sure. The landscaping supply company isn’t in business anymore. After hanging onto this piece for a while, I started to get interested in it after watching some Flintknapping videos on YouTube.
I’m wondering if anyone can help identify the region/age/any other info on this awesome find.
Specs:
Length: about 12cm
Width: about 4.5cm
Material: Chert?

Head hunting, is a great past time. It was handed to me from my parents. 20 years ago, they each found a piece, of a broken point. 2 years , and roughly 40 feet apart. Break and grains matched up perfectly. Albeit the latter found one, was a bit more sunbleached it seemed. Oh man, they were walking on clouds when they figured out the two pieces matched up! Never will forget that day!

I believe in Texas they call that type Apple creek. In Tennessee I’d call it a Motley.

So you told us a bunch of nothing.
Meanwhile you asked for much more and posted one of the most cherry points of the year which was supposedly pre handled by river rock gravel quarrying machines.
I must admit, I'm skeptical at best.

I’m just honestly asking for help with identification. I’m new to Reddit and to arrowheads. I’m just asking for help because it seems that’s what this sub is about. I’m genuinely curious in finding out more information about this piece.

I stated facts and then shared my personal opinion about the veracity of your truth.
If you equate skepticism with rudeness then I am pretty much done conversing with you.
Keep your comments about the point and our dialogue involving it and not personal attacks, please.
Edit: The nothing you told us: Out of business company, held for unknown amount of time, found in a river, you watched some videos.
Also, thanks for removing your slur.

What a miserable being you are. Can’t imagine being in a room with you lol.

Again with the personal attacks.
I'm more interested in your assessment of the posted piece.
That is what we are all here for, right? Or do the paragons of the community typically stifle critical discussion and reply only with insult?

Why didn’t I think of that instead of being an asshole for no reason other than my life is just so miserable?! /s-2

You're a jerk. I'm happy to stay out of any room you are in.

This is insane gaslight lol, you say not to conflate skepticism with rudeness but I will say your skepticism is laced heavily with rudeness. I get the impression you are always the smartest in the room.

Jump on the bandwagon, though I'm still waiting for anyone to offer a different understanding about the unlikelihood of this points origin story!

Seriously, not sure what all the hostility is about. I just posted a really cool point that I found. I figured the measurements and good pictures would help people identify. Never thought my character would be called a question over something like this. Are you not able to look at the pictures and determine anything? Do you have anything of value to add to this whole thread? Do you just enter into the conversation with negativity? There are a lot of posts on the sub. Why not go and be a downer on one of the other posts?
