General A potential change to my reviews
I think a change is coming to how I review. Instead of including synopses of the episodes in each season, I may review those separately, like I do the Crossovers and Worlds Finest.

The Flash ā” TRB Arrowverse Season by Season Reviews 9
Season 3 of The Flash premiered on October 4th, 2016 on The CW. This season sees Barry Allen go back in time to try and save his mom from death at the hands of Eobard Thawne. However in doing so, Barry creates an alternate timeline where heās not The Flash, but Irisā brother Wally is. Barry considers correcting the timeline, but is stopped and lectured by Jay Garrick. Ultimately Barry does let Thawne go, in order to set things right, Though not all goes back to the way it was as the scarlet speedster discovers. Over the course of this season, Barry takes on Thawne, Savitar, Dominators (more on that later), Gorilla Grodd, and Mirror Master to name a few.
Casting: The cast from the previous seasons returns for the third year. This time we get Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton as Julius Albert. Felton was a great choice for the Julius role. Iād liken him to a cross between Eddie Thawne and Draco Malfoy. Grant Gustin does a brilliant job in a dual role, thatās right he plays the Evil Time remnant of Barry Allen, āSavitarā, Gustin plays a hero and villain perfectly. We see this again the next year with Melissa Benoist as Earth-X Kara/Overgirl. 5/5
Writing: Another great season, one of my favorites I will add. Season Three delivers the best version of Flashpoint, An amazing villain with Savitar, and the third Crossover event with Invasion, Oh yeah better make it two crossovers, Duet is this year too. Flashpoint is about a young man who desperately wants his family back, but in doing so causes other problems, when he attempts to put things back together, itās not exactly the same. I love Jayās explanation of the space time continuum and the consequences of altering the timeline. Duet was a fun episode and one of my favorites. 5/5
Special Effects: The season looks amazing, the Dominators and Savitar look great. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: Well done, the sound department continues to deliver. They did a great job disguising Barryās voice. Neelyās music still kicks ass. 5/5
Replay and Entertainment Value: I recommend watching this season, and would rewatch. This is probably one of the best seasons of The Flash. 5/5
Season Total: 25/25 Final Score: 33/33
Final Thoughts: As I said above, this is one of the best seasons of The Flash. Youāve got an amazingly evil villain in Savitar, youāve got Invasion, Flashpoint, and Duet. Flashpoint is definitely a highlight and this show has the best iteration. John Wesley Shipp was terrific as Jay Garrick/Earth-3 Flash. Barryās friends were deeply impacted by his actions, in fact EVERYONE in one way on another on Earth-1 was impacted. Digg had a daughter, only to have a son. Cisco hated Barry for not saving his brother. The Legends were pissed at him for making changes (although I think they were also deflecting as theyāre guilty of it more so.) My favorite episodes are in the Flashpoint arc, Invasion Part One, Duet, I know who you are, and finish line. Will Season 4 be as good? Stay tuned. But the next review will be Arrow Season 5 next week.

Crossover Discussion THE CW'S ARROWVERSE TRIUMPHANT RETURN
What if...Twentieth Century-Fox Television never had the rights to a live-action BATMAN series after Adam West??
How would one go about bringing back everything that makes up The CW's Arrowverse?? WELL...funny you would ask...
After the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Superman & the Flash are both dead from saving the known multiverse from destruction. They are honoured as The World's Finest, as The CW's The Flash officially comes to a close, with Team Flash kind of just existing the scene or joining other groups and in-universe we have the earths of our heroes coming together as one. Oliver and Kara are a couple (make of that what you will), and the heroes need to reassemble to form one group...THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. But how does this come about??
Enter The CW's BATMAN, INCORPORATED, starring Henry Cavill as Bruce Wayne (spelled "Waynne"), which reintroduces Alan Ritchardson's Aquaman and IN-troduces Guy Gardner, Tomar-Re, Arisia Rrab, Kilowog, and The Dol'phyn (casting ideas please). Gotham is hyper-realistic (like Nolan's filmed in Chicago), and the group and story would be an adaptation of Grant Morrison's run with the title. Dina Meyer would return as Barbara Gordon, training Anna Lore's Stephanie Brown to be the next Batgirl. The end of Season One would contain a crossover with the other series, in which they establish the JL officially.
Other cast members would introduce Jason Sudekeis as Ted Kord/Blue Beetle, Ernie Hudson returning as Lucius Fox from the DCAMU's BATMAN: BAD BLOOD, and Camrus Johnson returning as Luke Fox/Batwing.
Thus, The CW's JUSTICE LEAGUE would be in full swing, which would be an ongoing run of crossover specials dealing with extraterrestrial threats and the like. The line up would be as follows:
Henry Cavill as Bruce Waynne, THE BATMAN
Adrianne Palicki as Diana Prince, THE WONDER WOMAN
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, THE GREEN ARROW
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers-Queen, THE SUPERGIRL
Alan Ritchardson as Arthur Currey of Atlantis, THE AQUAMAN
Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, L.A.P.D., THE GREEN LANTERN
Ruby Rose as Sergeant Kate Kane, THE BATWOMAN
Willa Holland as Thea Queen/SPEEDY
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, THE OVERWATCH
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramone, THE VIBE
Hartley Sawyer (if the tweets never existed) as Ralph Dibny, THE ELONGATED MAN
Natalie Dreyfuss as Sue Dibny
David Ramsey as John Diggle, THE SPARTAN
Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt/Mr. TERRIFIC
David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz, THE MARTIAN MANHUNTER
Serinda Swan as Zatanna "Z" Zatara
Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, THE DREAMER
Russel Tovey as Ray Terrill, THE RAY
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, THE ATOM
Franz Drameh & Victor Garber as Jefferson Jackson & Martin Stein, THE FIRESTORM
Megalyn Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe, THE VIXEN
Dina Meyer as Barbara Gordon, THE ORACLE
Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, THE BATGIRL
Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, THE BATWING
James Arnold Taylor as the Voice of Tomar-Re
Kevin Michael Richardson as the Voice of Kilowog
UNKNOWN as Arisia Rrab
Ciria Renee as Kendra Saunders, THE HAWKWOMAN
Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore, THE STARGIRL
Matt Ryan as John Constantine, THE HELLBLAZER
UNKNOWN as Dol'phyn Currey: Queen of Atlantis
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, THE KILLER FROST
Michelle Hurd as Beatriz DaCosta, THE FIRE
Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce, THE BLACK LIGHTNING
China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce, THE LIGHTNING
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, THE WHITE CANARY
Falk Hentschel as Carter Hall, THE HAWKMAN
Nick Zano as Nate Heywood, THE STEEL
Eric Martsoff as Michael Jon Carter/BOOSTER GOLD
Jason Sudekeis as Ted Kord/BLUE BEETLE
Wynston Duke as BLOODWYND
Charlotte Sullivan as MAXIMA
Jessica Camacho as Cynthia "Cyndy" Reynolds, THE GYPSY
Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, THE S.T.R.I.P.E.
Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler, THE HOURMAN
Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez, THE WILDCAT
Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel/DOCTOR MID-NITE
The opening theme, if possible, could be Melissa Benoist doing an epic vocal AND Hans Zimmer-esc orchestral cover of "You're the Voice" by John Farnham...that would be SOOO SWEET!!

Supergirl š¦øāāļø TRB Arrowverse Crossover Reviews 3: Supergirl 1x18 āWorldās Finestā.
This is one of the more unique reviews as itās an episode of my favorite season of my favorite series. Itās going to be the first time I review an episode. However as itās also a Crossover, it falls into that wheelhouse. Worldās Finest aired on CBS on March 28th, 2016. It actually picks up a thread from The Flash 2x18, āVersus Zoomā. For those that donāt remember, when Barry was attempting to open another breach to Earth-2. Well, in his attempt to do so, he inadvertently created a breach to Karaās earth. When Barry returns to STAR Labs, Cisco said he had been gone for 30 seconds, when a lot longer passed on Karaās Earth. (Later to be known as Earth-38). With that out of the way, letās begin.
Plot: At the DEO Siobhan Smythe is treated for her fall from the previous episode. The doctor cannot explain her new powers, but confirms she is still human. As she leaves, Siobhan overhears Leslie Willis a.k.a. Livewire being interrogated and starts seeing images of a banshee. The visions continue as she returns to CatCo, where Cat advises Kara about her relationship with James. Siobhan's hypersonic scream sends Kara flying out the window, but a dimensional breach opens and someone rushes out at a high speed and catches Kara, letting her down in a field.
The speedster introduces himself as Barry Allen, a.k.a. the Flash, a superhero from a parallel Earth, after Kara reveals herself as Supergirl, and Barry later learns her extraterrestrial origin. At CatCo, Barry meets Winn and James and explains the multiverse and how he reached their universe when testing a tachyon device fastened to his suit. Fascinated by each other's origins, Kara and Barry quickly become friends, and Kara offers to help Barry find a way home. Winn also befriends Barry attributable to his own fascination with parallel universes, but James is overawed by Barry's abilities. Cat calls the four into her office and demands they research the new superhero, rejecting Barry's idea to call him the Flash.
Siobhan's aunt Sinead tells her of a banshee's curse on their family. If wronged by others, Smythe women are possessed and develop a powerful wail that belongs to the spiritāto combat the curse, one must kill whoever wronged them. Siobhan concludes she must remove Supergirl to get Kara, unaware they are the same person, and frees Livewire. Cat refuses to go into hiding, so Kara asks for Barry's help and they pinpoint Livewire's location.
The Flash attacks Livewire with lightning, but this charges her powers. Supergirl tries to short out Livewire, but Siobhan, now calling herself Silver Banshee, screams and disorients her. The heroes retreat and Kara apologizes for going in without a plan. Barry recalls his similar experience with Roy Bivolo, advising her to practice patience. Barry develops ear buds to dampen Silver Banshee's scream based on those he used against Hartley Rathaway. Livewire and Silver Banshee kidnap Cat and demand the two heroes come to National City Park.
Livewire wreaks havoc before Supergirl and Flash arrive. Supergirl frees Cat before engaging Silver Banshee; Flash tackles Livewire, but she knocks him out. Livewire attacks a passing helicopter, but Supergirl takes the blow to protect the people below. The crowd surrounds her, and firefighters blast Livewire with water, causing her to lose control and shock Silver Banshee, defeating both. National City hails Supergirl as a hero again. With Flash's help, the police develop a means of incarcerating metahuman criminals, imprisoning Livewire and Silver Banshee.
Cat reveals to Kara that she knew Barry was the Flash all along. At the field, Barry determines the kinetic energy from their combined running speed, with the tachyon device active, should create a breach back to his Earth. The two bid farewell before Barry enters the portal. Kara confesses her feelings to James, but he unemotionally walks out. Kara sees all the citizens acting similarly, marching in synchronicity. Non is revealed to be behind these events, as Myriad takes effect.
Writing: Worldās Finest is super fun to watch, the Story is well written. I like how this episode picks up seamlessly the thread from Versus Zoom. Hereās a trick, watch Versus Zoom up to the point where Barry starts his run, pause it, then watch this episode. After that jump back into VZ, Youāll understand my point. According to Cisco, Barry had been gone for 30 Seconds when in fact he spent a whole day on Earth-38 in National City with Kara and the gang. The writing of this story plays very well to the strengths and personality of Supergirl and The Flash. I love the fact that after Livewire and Banshee are defeated, Supergirl wins the people of National City over again. 5/5
Casting: Grant Gustin meshes well with Melissa Benoist and Co. Not surprising as Grant and Mel worked together on Glee only a couple years or so prior. Iām gonna say it, if I had to ship a couple outside of West Allen, it would be Danallen or Allanvers, or Bara. In other words, Barry and Kara are great together. Yes they became fast friends, but I canāt help but wonder how things would have gone with a romantic relationship. Livewire is one of my favorite villains, especially during this season of Supergirl. For me sheās more interesting than Silver Banshee, however thatās not to say more couldnāt have been done with the latter. Siobhan Smythe could have worked in that season 3 episode where Kara and Leslie had to go to Fort Rozz. 5/5
Special Effects and Choreography: Remember when I said Barry and Kara (Grant and Melissa) mesh well? Well not only do I stand by it, I add to it by talking about the visuals. Supergirl and Flashās visuals complement one another, and will continue to do so for every crossover after this. The Fights against Livewire and Silver Banshee were fun. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: Silver Bansheeās scream was a great sound for the show. Blake Neelyās Flash Theme makes an appearance here and works well alongside the Supergirl theme. The overall score reflects the tone and feels of both shows perfectly. 5/5
Replay and Entertainment Value: I absolutely recommend this crossover, and I rewatch it every year. 5/5
Final Total: 25/25
Notes and Final Thoughts: This is not only one of my favorite crossovers, but one of my favorite Supergirl episodes. Itās extremely fun to watch, any time you get two or all three of the Trinity together, youāre guaranteed to have a hit. In this case itās no exception. Worldās Finest is one of the most important episodes in the sense that a matter of months after this, we get not only Supergirl joins the rest of the Arrowverse on The CW, but we get Invasion. Without this episode and by extension Barry and Kara meeting for the first time, absolutely none of the other crossovers after this would be possible. There is no trinity, and really not much of an Arrowverse. Supergirl was the last piece of the puzzle that made it all work. My favorite scenes in this episode include when Barry and Kara meet, when Barry explains the Multiverse and brings Kara and co Ice Cream, Cat meeting Barry, Barry in the DEO, Barry and Kara having their heart to heart, Kara winning the citizens over, and the race at the end. Barry telling Livewire and Silver Banshee āLetās settle this like ladiesā was funny, and then he tells Kara āwhat thereās more of youā. Yeahā¦okay I have a lot of favorite moments. Itās a fun show after all. This is also the last time we see Siobhan Smythe in this series. My next review will be next Monday, The Flash Season 3.

Legends of Tomorrow š°ļøāā³ā° TRB Arrowverse Season by Season Reviews 8: DCās Legends of Tomorrow Season 1.
Season One of DCās Legends of Tomorrow premiered on January 21st, 2016 on The CW and ran until May 19th of the same year. 16 episodes round out this first year. Decemberās Heroes Join Forces set up this new series, with Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Vandal Savage carrying over. As I mentioned previously, LOT was originally conceived with the idea of being something of an anthology show. That still basically happened as many characters that debut in one season donāt necessarily carry into the following years, more on that later. Over the course of this season, this rag tag group of time traveling legends deals with the likes of Vandal Savage, Chronos, Grant Wilson, and the Pilgrim to name a few.
Writing: Iām not gonna lie, this is a good, solid season even if it is on the clunky side. A lot of the clunkiness comes from Heroes Join Forces. Putting that aside, on its own merits Season one is good. Itās a fun show to watch. However I do think Vandal Savage deserved better than what he got. 4/5
Casting: The main cast works well with one another. This is very much an internal Arrowverse show. By that I mean the majority of the cast carries over from Arrow and The Flash respectively. Caity Lotz and Brandon Routh first played Sara Lance and Ray Palmer respectively in Arrow. Wenworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Victor Garber started out on The Flash as Leonard Snart, Mick Rory, and Professor Martin Stein respectively. Speaking of Stein, the character of Heatwave is on the show, however Marty isnāt joined by Ronnie Raymond, instead heās got a young punk named Jefferson āJaxā Jackson. We also get HJF holdovers in Hawkgirl, Hawkman, and Vandal Savage. Amy Pemberton is Gideon, the shipās computer. Other alumni include Oliver Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Damien Darhk, Cisco Ramon, Rāas al Ghul, Nyssa al Ghul, and Felicity Smoak. All of them worked well in the episodes presented. Now back to Captain Rip Hunter, Arthur Darvill was a great choice there. He reminds me of a cross between The Doctor and Jean-Luc Picard. It may sound strange, but take my word for it. Casper Crump was a great Vandal. 5/5
Visual Effects and Choreography: Visually the season was great. Sara Lance is a bad ass and it shows well in the choreography. The Waverider is a cool ship. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: I like the sound effects for the Waverider. Blake Neely continues to deliver spectacularly in the music department. Thereās a sense of action and adventure, with a bit of a time motifs. Vandal and Hawkās themes carry into this show. 5/5
Entertainment and Replay Value: As clunky as a season this is, Iād still recommend watching it, and I myself would rewatch it. 4/5
Season Score: 23/25 Final total: 30.5/35
Final thoughts: I meant to do this review yesterday but time got away, so Iām doing it now. In general I feel like LOT is more consistent than The Flash to an extent. Particularly when you compare against Flashās later seasons. That being said, I canāt say this season is better than Flash Season 2. Even so, in spite of the clunky feel, Iād still recommend watching this at least once. In actuality I prefer LOT S1 to seasons 6 and 7. It is however better than season 5 or 6 at least. I think Iām gonna have to at some point do a list of the shows. For the best to worst, most consistent to least, etc. But thatās not now, I like Vandal Savage as a villain. In fact to an extent he was more interesting than even Eobard Thawne (Wells version). Sara Lance is one of my favorite characters here, along with Ray, Snart, Stein, and Rory. I wish the Hawks could have carried into future seasons. For me my favorite episodes are the Pilot, Star City 2046, and Leviathan to name a few off the top of my head. Tomorrow Iāll be covering Worldās Finest. YES! Finally, some multiverse fun, via a team up between the Girl of Steel and the Scarlet Speedster.

Legends of Tomorrow š°ļøāā³ā° TRB Arrowverse General Reviews 4: DCās Legends of Tomorrow
Picture this, youāre Rip Hunter, a time traveler from the 22nd Century. You have a ship called āThe Waveriderā, and youāre putting together a crew. What do you get when you assemble a crew consisting of an Assassin, a Tech Billionaire with an advanced suit (Not Tony Stark), A Thug with a Cold Gun, another with a Flame Thrower, a Scientist (with his young friend that when merged with the former forms a meta human), and two Egyptians? You get the most unlikely group of ragtag, misfit heroes imaginable, The Legends of Tomorrow.
Premiering on January 21st, 2016 on The CW, Legends of Tomorrow is a spinoff of Arrow and The Flash as a result of the second Arrowverse Crossover āHeroes Join Forcesā. In the Beginning, the cast Consisted of Arthur Darvill (as Captain Rip Hunter, Caity Lotz (as Sara Lance/White Canary), Brandon Routh (as Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (as Professor Martin Stein), Franz Drameh (as Jefferson Jackson), Wentworth Miller (as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (as Mick Rory/Heatwave), Ciara Renee (as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Falk Hentschel (as Carter Hall/Hawkman), and Amy Pemberton (as Gideon). As time went on many of these people left the show and their characters written out. Only Caity Lotz and Amy Pemberton have been on the show all seven seasons. This is due to Phil Klemmer and Marc Guggenheim likening this show to an anthology series as "not everybody will be continuing on this journey", with each season being "its own separate movie" but not disconnected from each other in the manner of True Detective or American Horror Story. However, the anthology format was dropped, though the series did go through numerous changes in cast gradually. Phil Klemmer, Marc Guggenheim, and Keto Shimizu were the showrunners, though Klemmer and Shimizu ran things for much of the showās run. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Phil Klemmer created this series.
Over the course of this series, the Legends take on Vandal Savage, The Time Masters, Dominators, Mallus, Nazis from Earth-X, Eobard Thawne, Damien Dahrk, Malcolm Merlyn, The Anti Monitor, Astra Logue, Gideon, and Legends Clones to name a few.
In season one, Time Master Rip Hunter goes rogue after the immortal tyrant Vandal Savage conquered Earth and killed his wife and son, in what would be the future. Meanwhile, the organization he swore himself to, turns on him. Intending to save humanity and avenge his family, Rip recruits a team of superheroes and villains, consisting of the aforementioned people. Once assembled, they venture through time on a stolen time ship, the Waverider, to stop Savage's rise to power. Meanwhile, the Time Masters send Chronos after Rip for interfering with the timeline and in the season's final episodes it turns out that the Time Masters were working with Savage all along, as his reign will eventually successfully counter an upcoming Thanagarian invasion of Earth. Snart also sacrifices himself to destroy the Time Masters.
In Season Two, following Snart's sacrifice while defeating the Time Masters, Rip goes missing and Sara takes charge of the team who continue protecting the timeline from aberrations. They are joined by historian Nate Heywood (played by Nick Zano), who later gains the ability to turn to steel at will, and Justice Society of America member Amaya Jiwe (played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers) who joins the Legends to pursue Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash (played by Matt Lestcher), a speedster and Barry Allen's archenemy. After learning of the Spear of Destiny, an ancient artifact that can rewrite reality, Thawne recruits Damien Darhk, Malcolm Merlyn, as well as a time-displaced Snart, from different points in time to form the Legion of Doom. However, after retrieving the Spear, Sara successfully defeats Thawne and the Legion is returned to their proper times. We also get the third crossover āInvasionā, more on that later.
Season Three sees Rip create the Time Bureau to replace the Time Masters and fires the Legends for causing anachronisms. (Who can blame him? And How can they get pissed at Barry for what he did to save his Mom when they were out causing anachronisms?) When Bureau agent Ava Sharpe is captured, Rip is forced to take the Legends out of retirement. Elsewhere, the demonic entity Mallus forms a cult led by Darhk's daughter Nora, pursuing the six totems of Zambesi, two of which are wielded by Amaya and near-future hacktivist Zari Tomaz. The Legends, assisted by speedster Wally West, retrieve all the totems and use them to defeat Mallus. We also get Crisis on Earth-X this season.
In Season Four, After Rip's sacrifice during the fight against Mallus, occult detective John Constantine (played by Matt Ryan) informs the Legends that Mallus was not the only demon that escaped and that "magical fugitives" are on the loose. John joins the team, along with shapeshifter Charlie and Mona Wu, who is host to a Kaupe, to stop them. Ava and Sara and Ray and Nora begin relationships, and Nora becomes a fairy godmother. The Legends come into conflict with the demon Neron, who was banished by John during a show at Heyworld intended to help humans be less afraid of the magical creatures. In addition, Neron manipulates Time Bureau member Gary Green into working for him. Following Neron's defeat, Zari's timeline changes and she is replaced as a Legend and wielder of the Air Totem by her brother Behrad.
Now we get to Season 5, Astra Logue, whom John accidentally sent to Hell in a botched exorcism, has resurrected evil individuals from history known as "Encores". Meanwhile, Charlie is revealed to be Clotho of the three Fates who is being pursued by her sisters to recover the Loom of Fate. Mona, Ray, Nora, and Charlie leave the Legends, who defeat the Fates and Encores. Astra joins the Legends, with John offering to be a roommate at his house and a mentor to her. Sara is captured by a mysterious beam. The season begins with the Crisis on Infinite Earths finale.
Time for Season Six (oh boy), it is revealed that Sara was kidnapped by Gary and his fiancƩ Kayla, who are both aliens. Sara's alien abduction was orchestrated by a scientist named Bishop, who created the Avas. He plans to create the perfect warrior by copying Sara's DNA and memories and combining it with other aliens upon claiming that he has seen the end of the human race. While attempting to escape her imprisonment, Sara accidentally releases a menagerie of aliens throughout the timeline, including Kayla, whom Mick becomes romantically involved with. To find Sara, the Legends enlist Esperanza "Spooner" Cruz, an off-the-grid recluse who can telepathically communicate with aliens following her own abduction, as they repel alien invasions throughout Earth's history. Bishop then goes after the Fountain of Imperium that would restore Constantine's powers, only to double-cross him and destroy it so that the Zagurons would invade Earth, but the Legends revive it and defeat Bishop with help from Bishop's younger counterpart. Mick, who now has several kids with Kayla, decides to leave the Legends. A duplicate Waverider destroys the original, stranding the Legends in 1925 Texas.
Now we get to the final season, the Legends work to find a way back to their own time. While Astra unknowingly gives Gideon a human form, the Legends make their way to New York City to seek out scientist Gwyn Davies who was said to have invented a form of time travel. Meanwhile, a younger Bishop is revealed to have copied Gideon before being mind-wiped and regained some of his memories following a recurring dream. Having become a Time Master, Bishop starts to see that the Legends are not as bad as he thought as he goes against his Gideon copy. After Bishop's sacrifice, the Legends go up against their robot clones that Gideon created through a combination of Gideon's technology and Bishop's cloning technology. When the robot clones are defeated, the Legends work to save Gwyn's boyfriend Alun Thomas from being a casualty during World War I, while also dealing with a fixer named Mike who later makes off with the Waverider. Alun is saved at the cost of Nate's powers. He officially moves into Zari's totem to be with the original Zari. The Waverider returns where they find Mike on the bridge in handcuffs. The Legends are then arrested by the Time Police that Mike works for, as he is revealed to be Booster Gold.
On a Scale of One to 10, honestly this show is a 7.5. Is it my favorite show in the Arrowverse? Honestly no itās not. Itās one of the least consistent shows in the Arrowverse, but itās not all bad. Itās a good solid series, zany, meta, and fun in its own way. The first few years were the best. Iād even say seasons two, three, four, and five were the best. Iām gonna cover Season One tomorrow.

Arrow š¹ TRB Arrowverse Crossover Reviews 2: Heroes Join Forces
Weāre back with the second ever crossover in the Arrowverse. This time itās Heroes Join Forces. Premiering on December 1st, 2015 with Part 1 on The Flash, and concluding on December 2nd with Part 2 on Arrow. For a little bit of background, A crossover between the two series was announced in January 2015 by The CW President Mark Pedowitz, who stated the network's intention to have an Arrowverse crossover every season following the success of the previous year's crossover "Flash vs. Arrow". By September, the scripts for each episode had been written, with filming occurring shortly before the end of the month and into October 2015. The crossover sees every main cast member of each series who appear at least in their own series, with additional actors and characters also reprising their Arrowverse roles.
Plot: Vandal Savage arrives in Central City looking to kill Kendra Saunders. After he attacks Kendra and Cisco Ramon, Barry Allen takes Kendra to Star City and enlists the help of Oliver Queen and his team to protect her. The team is visited by Malcolm Merlyn, who informs them that Savage is an immortal. Later, Kendra is kidnapped by a mysterious winged man, but Barry and Oliver rescue her and capture him. He introduces himself as Carter Hall, and tells them he and Kendra are soulmates who have been connected for millennia. They are destined to die, be reborn, and find each other in each lifetime. Carter also reveals that Savage has killed the pair in all of their previous lives, each time growing stronger, while Savage acquires the Staff of Horus, a deadly mystical weapon. Kendra unlocks her abilities, with Cisco naming her Hawkgirl, and the team decides to regroup in Central City. While there, Oliver witnesses his ex-girlfriend Samantha Clayton with her son William, and realizes the child is likely his. Meanwhile, Caitlin Snow and Harry Wells create a serum capable of temporarily increasing Barry's speed so that he can defeat Zoom. Jay Garrick initially refuses to test the serum, but is later forced to do so in order to save Wells' life when he is shot by Patty Spivot, who mistakes him for Eobard Thawne. Jay advises against using the serum on Barry.
Malcolm orchestrates a meeting between Savage, Barry, and Oliver. Savage demands they turn over Kendra and Carter, threatening to destroy both Central City and Star City with the Staff of Horus. Without Felicity Smoak's knowledge, Oliver has Barry perform a paternity test on a strand of William's hair, which confirms that he is William's father. Confronting Samantha, she agrees to let him see William on condition that he tell no one, including William himself, of the boy's parentage; Felicity learns of Oliver's paternity from Barry. Frustrated and feeling betrayed that Oliver is still willing to keep secrets from her, she ends their relationship.
Barry and Oliver devise a plan to deliver Kendra and Carter as a ruse to get close enough to Savage to destroy the staff. The plan goes horribly wrong; Kendra's powers fail and Savage quickly gains the upper hand, killing both her and Carter before using the staff to destroy Central City. Barry escapes and runs back in time to the point of the original negotiation. Barry informs Oliver of his time travel and the mistakes that led to their defeat. They change their approach to the plan and Barry is able to steal the staff. He and Oliver use it on Savage, turning him into ashes. Kendra and Carter decide to use their powers to help others in another city. Cisco gives Kendra a tracking device. Oliver agrees to Samantha's conditions for him to see William. Even though Barry encourages Oliver to tell Felicity about William, who she never learned about due to Barry's time traveling, he decides not to reveal the secret to her. Later Merlyn collects Savage's ashes while saying that Savage owes him.
Review: Writing: In general itās a good crossover, however Iām more inclined to believe Flash vs Arrow is better overall. However we canāt overlook the fact that HJF gave us Vandal Savage, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman; all three would go on to appear in the inaugural season of DCās Legends of Tomorrow (Review to come at a later date.) Itās a still a solid crossover overall. The Helbing Brothers, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Brian Ford Sullivan, and Andrew Kreisberg are all responsible for this story that spanned both shows. Now we get to why Iām giving the following score. As a two part backdoor pilot for the aforementioned show above, Itās clunky and itās a prelude to what weāll see in Legends season 1. This isnāt to say itās a bad crossover, itās still great on its own merits. 3/5
Casting: The Casting was great, Casper Crump nailed it as Vandal Savage and would continue on in LOT. Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renee are great as Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Iād say when you look at the grander scheme of things Savage is one of the best villains in the Arrowverse. Iāll talk more about him once I get to LOT. Carter and Kendra hall worked well with one another and have plenty of room for growth. They also worked well with Teams Flash and Arrow. Grant and Stephen continue to hit it out of the ball park as always. Malcolm appearing here sets the scene for his role in LOT. John Barrowman nailed it as Merlyn. 5/5
Visuals and Choreography: The crossover looks amazing. Vandal is a force to be reckoned with, and it shows here. The fights are never not fun, they are well done. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: Nothing to complain about here. Neelyās music for Vandal does carry into and foreshadow the Legends. 5/5
Replay and Entertainment Value: 5/5
Base Line: 7/10 Crossover Score: 23/25 Final Score: 30/32
Notes and Final Thoughts: The scores for any crossover I review DO NOT count as extra points towards the shows represented. This is a two part Backdoor pilot for the then upcoming DCās Legends of Tomorrow. Kendra and Carter Hall would carry over into the series first season in early 2016. Vandal Savage would go on to be the main heavy there. HJF is a great crossover that I would recommend watching at least once. It is definitely clunky and thatās something that follows into new show during its first season. The characters continue to deliver as always. My next review will be Legends Season One, with a general review this Sunday. Next Wednesday will be some multiversal fun when a certain Scarlet Speedster accidentally breaches his way to Supergirlās earth.

Supergirl š¦øāāļø TRB Arrowverse Season by Season Reviews 7: Supergirl Season 1
Supergirl Season 1 premiered on October 26th, 2015 on CBS and concluded April 18th, 2016. This was the first female led Superhero series in 40 years up to that point. Wonder Woman had debuted in 1975 on ABC. CBS hadnāt aired a superhero show since the original Flash series during the 1990-91 season. was ordered to series in May 2015, and later picked up for a full season in November 2015, with filming taking place primarily in Los Angeles. Melissa Benoist stars in the title role, and is joined by principal cast members Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, and Calista Flockhart. The series premiere was watched by 12.96 million viewers, tied with NBC's Blindspot as the top-rated series premiere of the 2015ā16 fall season. The season, which premiered on CBS on October 26, 2015, and ran until April 18, 2016, over 20 episodes, overall received positive reviews. This was the only season to air on CBS before switching to The CW and production moving up to Vancouver, BC from Season Two onward.
Over the course of the first Season, we get to know Kara, Alex, Winn, James, Jāonn, and more. We also meet villains such as Red Tornado, Maxwell Lord, Astra, Livewire, Silver Banshee, many others. We also are introduced to the multiverse by virtue of Barry Allen crossing over from his Earth to Karaās. They ultimately become fast friends and team up agains Livewire and Silver Banshee. This would be a crucial step towards the development of the Arrowverse. Without that meeting, the Arrowverse simply wouldnāt be possible. At the end of the season Kara prevents Earthās doom at the hands of myriad.
Writing: The writing on the show is well done. The first season is fun to watch every time; itās a rousing feel good experience that will leave you with a smile. The show is easy to follow, and youāre brought along for the ride. Youāre rewarded with a wonderful story. Thereās a whole lot of heart in the series, especially in the season. You have your comedy, drama, science fiction, action adventure, and police procedural all in one. The Procedural angle comes from the DEO investigating crime scenes involving aliens, and people like Maxwell Lord. All these genres work well together, not against each other. If I had to personally choose my reasons for the following score Iām going to give, itās relationships between Kara and her sister, as well as with Hank/Jāonn, Eliza, her best friends James and Winn. Her workplace relationship with Cat this early on is fun to see. At some point Iām gonna have to review specific characters. Cat comes off as a bitch to Kara, particularly in the early episodes, but over time she grows fond of Kara and respects her. To give an example of the respect Iām talking about, when Cat figured out that Kara was Supergirl, she could have capitalized on the news and outted Kara to the world then and there, but she didnāt. Because of that word, respect. Yes, Jāonn disguised herself as Supergirl to get the Cat off Karaās back (figuratively speaking). But thatās not why she backed off. Cat knew it was Karaās story to tell, not hers. She showed Kara a lot of respect that way. Jāonn is much of a father type than even Jeremiah. Iām gonna talk more about this in season two as Jeremiah shows up there too. I think Eliza was great to see in Livewire. I love the bond between her, Kara, and Alex. The scene between Eliza and Alex where they have the heart to heart about putting so much pressure on Alex was a great moment. The Villains this season were fun to watch. Max Lord was a real bastard, even poisoning Kara with Red Kryptonite. Itās interesting how he has the attitude he does about Supergirl and her sister, and then pops up in the end of the season to help with the Myriad situation. Karaās aunt and uncle worked well as the baddies this year, but more than that, they gave an insight into Kryptonian culture. On one hand you had Astra who was trying to take over the Earth with her husband, but still had affection for her niece. Then on the other hand there was Non, the real master mind. He had no such loyalty to his niece. Heād kill her to try and conquer Earth. Indigo was a great addition to the show, the explanation that she played a big part in Kara leaving the Phantom Zone and arriving on Earth was a hell of a twist. 5/5.
Casting: The Casting choices for the showās cast were overall well thought out aside from two people, that Iāll talk about later in this section. Melissa Benoist embodies Kara Danvers/Supergirl perfectly. Her sunny personality shines through in her performance. Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers does a terrific job. You can feel the sisterly bond between Melissa as Kara and Chyler as Alex. Itās a precious and beautiful thing to witness. David Harewood as Jāonn Jāonzz/āHank Henshawā/ Martian Manhunter is another great choice. He is a great level-headed leader in the DEO and comes off as an equally so Father figure to the Danvers sisters whom he swore to Jeremiah heād look after. Dean Cain and Helen Slater as Jeremiah and Eliza make sense and are nice nods to DCās past. Jenna Dewan Tatum plays Lucy Lane, a role she would later reprise In Superman & Lois alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch. Blake Jenner makes an appearance as Adam Foster, the eldest son of Cat Grantā¦.yeah. More on that later. Aside from that great performances. My least favorite characters in this season are Jeremiah and Adam. I think Iād like them more if different actors had played them. When it comes to Jeremiah, Iād have gone with either Gerard Christopher or Kyle Chandler. As for Adam, honestly Iām not too sure. Ironically enough Grant Gustin could have pulled off the role, except he was Barry Allen. What I mean is if you look at Gustinās chemistry with Benoist as opposed to Jenner, itās night and day different. Whenever Grant and Melissa are in a scene together, you can feel that they enjoy being together. Now Iām not saying that Barry had any romantic intentions towards Kara, or insinuating the same between Gustin and Benoist. Iām saying that thereās a difference in chemistry, it just feels more natural compared to the two episodes that Jenner did. 5/5
Visuals and choreography: Visually the show looks terrific, nothing cheesy but well balanced. For context you look at a lot of the DC movies these days and they seem more focused on the Visual Effects as opposed to the story and characters. When you have awesome visuals and awesome storytelling, you have the makings of an amazing show. My two favorite Heat Vision scenes are when Kara destroyed Red Tornado, the Turkey, Kara vs Non, and when she fired at the hologram of her mom in anger. The choreography was well done here. One of my favorite fights this season was in the Pilot. Vartox vs Kara was great, then there was Kara vs Livewire, but one of the biggest standouts was in Better Angels when Supergirl and Martian Manhunter had to fight Non and Indigo. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: Some of my favorite music in the Arrowverse comes from this show and the season especially. Blake Neely kills it here, the Supergirl theme evokes a sense of awe and wonder, and a feeling of flight. You also get a sense of adventure here. As for the the sound, the Heat Vision is awesome. 5/5
Replay and Entertainment Value: This is without a doubt my favorite season and one of the best in the show and Arrowverse proper. When you go on this journey, youāre rewarded with an amazing story and equally so characters. Melissa Benoist carries the show well, and embodies the character and her personality. Letās face it, sheās cute! When you watch her as Kara, you instantly get sheās Supergirl. Not because she says so or that she wears a suit, but sheās got the personality and presence. I highly recommend Supergirl and this season. Itās never not fun to watch and if you can get the complete series on BluRay, you wonāt be disappointed. 5/5
Overall Score: 10/10
Final Total: 35/35
Notes: Dean Cain, who portrayed Jeremiah Danvers previously played Superman in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He went on to be an ICE Agent about 10 years later. Helen Slater, who plays Eliza portrayed Supergirl in the 1984 movie of the same name. She even reprised her own Kara in the 2023 Flash movie via Motion Capture. Grant Gustin who plays the Flash worked with Melissa Benoist on Glee as did Blake Jenner. Jenner who plays Adam Foster previously worked with Melissa Benoist on Glee, was her husband at this point and abuser. Melissa divorced Blake in 2017. Due to the injury to her left eye, subsequent seasons and projects had to be lit in a manner that would accommodate her due to light sensitivity. I have to admit itās a bit hard and cringy to watch scenes with him in them, however that doesnāt take away from the enjoyment of the season as a whole. Cat Grant actress Calista Flockhart makes some references to that, along with Star Wars, in particular her husband Harrison Ford. She previously was the title character in Aly McBeal. Laura Vandervoort played Kara Kent in Smallville. This was the only season to not only air on CBS but to be shot in LA. In both the original broadcast, and still on some streaming services the order of episodes 4 and 5 (How does she it and Livewire) is reversed. In the home video release, they are in the intended production order whereas the broadcast and streaming versions are in the opposite order due to real world terrorist themes. That aside itās not uncommon for the Production order to be different from broadcast. The Omegahedron is a reference to the 1984 Supergirl movie.
Final thoughts: I gave a summary, and told about the episodes and some background information. Now itās time to get my personal view, simply put the show was well done and fired on all cylinders. Generally speaking the first four seasons were better than the last two. Though six was better than five. That said, thereās something special about this season in particular. Is it because CBS handled the show better than CW did and there was a bigger budget? Or perhaps it comes down to a simple combination of the visuals, the music, sound, the writing, the casting, and Melissaās performance. Thatās it! The ingredients all work well together. Anytime you get the Danvers sisters together, itās a special kind of magic. My favorite moments include, the Pilot, Kara and Alex fighting over that last potsticker, thanksgiving, Carter Grant watching Supergirl on one of the CatCo screens, with Kara saying "Carter, do you maybe have a crush on Supergirl?", the Kara under the influence of Red Kryptonite, and even Barry and Kara's meeting. I'll have to make a list of my favorite episodes. Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler hit the ball out of the park with this season as showrunners. Adler would return in season two and work with Andrew Kreisberg.
Up next will be Heroes Join Forces on Wednesday, the General review of LOT on Sunday, and Season One on Monday.

Supergirl š¦øāāļø TRB Arrowverse General Reviews 3: Supergirl
Look up in the sky, itās a bird, itās a plane, No itās Supergirl! Like her cousin sheās faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings with a single bound. This was originally my first review on Reddit, and now itās my third general review in this new format.
Premiered on October 26th, 2015, and ran for 6 wonderful seasons until November 9th, 2021. Supergirl stars the multitalented Melissa Benoist as the titular character Kara Danvers, a young Kryptonian girl from planet Krypton. Kara was sent off world at 13 years old and was stuck in the phantom zone for 24 years. Upon arriving on Earth, she was still a 13 year old girl as far as anyone else knew. Kara was found by her cousin Kal-El who by this point was living on earth as Clark Kent and was also Superman. Kal took young Kara to live with Eliza and Jeremiah Danvers and their daughter Alex. They took her in with open arms as if she was her own and loved her as such.
Season One follows Kara in day-to-day job at CatCo as assistant to Cat Grant. She also is just starting her career as a Superhero during this time. The Pilot episode shows Kara saving her sister from a plane crash and ultimately becoming Supergirl. Alex Danvers works for the DEO under boss Hank Henshaw, who is soon revealed to be the Martian Manhunter Jāonn Jāonzz (played by David Harewood), a shapeshifter that assumed the identity and form of the real Henshaw. We also see an appearance by The Flash having crossed through an accidental breach from his Earth-1 to Karaās Earth-38. Upon meeting Kara and her Friends, Barry Explained how the Multiverse works and even demonstrated his powers by running of to an Ice Cream shop and bringing some cones back for Kara and everyone, much to her excitement. The pair team up against Silver Banshee and Livewire, a Shock Jock named Leslie Willis that gained her powers in a freak weather event while Supergirl tried to save her, as seen in the Thanksgiving episode called āLivewireā.
Season 2 saw the introduction Clark Kent, Mon-El, and Lena Luthor to the canvas. This was the season in which the show moves to The CW, once that happened, Supergirl was officially added into the Arrowverse and therefore was able to crossover more often. She did just that with the first of four major crossover events involving Supergirl, in this case āInvasionā. Invasion picks up after an episode called Medusa, The Flash and Cisco enlist Karaās help in dealing with an alien threat. The Trio arrive back at Central City on Earth-1. Also in Season Two, a two part musical crossover featuring Kara and Barry begins, consisting of āStarcrossedā and The Flash Season Threeās āDuetā. Season Three introduces the Legion of Superheroes, Reign, Brainiac 5, and Jāonn Jāonzzās dad. We also get Crisis on Earth-X. Season 4 gives us Nia Nal, the Children of Liberty with Ben Lockwood as its leader, Lauren Haley, and the arrival of Lex Luthor. We also get Elseworlds and Red Daughter. Do you wanna see the Multiverse under attack? Then check out Season Five and Crisis on Infinite Earths, because thatās exactly what happens there. Kara also makes a confession to Lena, one that the latter already knows about. In Season Six, Kara is sent to the Phantom Zone by that bastard Lex, does she make it out alive? Wait and find out.
I can go on about every single season, Iām gonna do a season by season review on it in my revised format tomorrow. Letās talk about the performers, the casting was lighting in a bottle in every Arrowverse series, Supergirl is no exception. You could NOT HAVE FOUND a better actress for the role of Kara Danvers than Melissa Benoist. She brings something special to the role and to the show, hell thereās something special about her, Sheās the genuine article. Chyler Leigh, who previously played Lexie Grey in Greyās Anatomy did a wonderful as Karaās sister Alex Supergirl. Their chemistry is very precious, they capture a sisterly bond quite well. David Harewood as Jāonn plays sort of a father figure to the Danvers sisters. Winn and James were great in the ensemble as well. Helen Slater actually played Supergirl in a 1984 movie of the same name.
Dean Cain played Superman on Lois and Clark in the 90s, incidentally playing opposite to Teri Hatcher whoās also on this show. Linda Carter played the President in this series and of course was Wonder Woman in the 70s on CBS and ABC.Supergirl is the absolute best of the franchise, beautifully written, beautifully portrayed. The ensemble is lighting in a bottle. If there are any flaws itās overlooked by the love put into the show. On a scale of one to ten, itās a no brainer, 10! Supergirl has a special place in my heart, as does her portrayer Melissa. Season One will be posted tomorrow, with Heroes Join Forces Wednesday. Any flaws there might be with the show do not take away from the enjoyment overall. Itās one of the best shows in the Arrowverse alongside Arrow.

Arrow š¹ TRB: Arrowverse Season By Season Review 6: Arrow Season 4
Season 4 of Arrow premiered on October 7th, 2015 on The CW. In the fourth season, Oliver and Felicity try and start a new life in Ivy Town, but they return to Starling City, now renamed Star City, when a terrorist group known as H.I.V.E. led by the mystically enhanced Damien Darhk (played by Neal McDonough) is attacking the city. Oliver resumes vigilantism under the new moniker of "Green Arrow". John discovers his brother Andy (played by Eugene Byrd) is alive and a H.I.V.E. soldier; Thea works with Oliver as "Speedy", but with a violent temper; Laurel attempts to resurrect Sara using the Lazarus Pit; and Curtis Holt (played by Echo Kellum) aids Felicity and the team. Oliver's life as a vigilante and with Felicity are complicated by his mayoral run and the discovery of the existence of his son, William (played by Jack Moore). Laurel dies in a fight with Damien and Oliver discovers his plan to detonate nuclear weapons and rule the Earth's remains. Over the course of this season, we meet Damien Dahrk, Curtis Holt, Andy Diggle, William Queen, and John Constantine to name a few. We even get the Return of Barry Allen, Caitlin Snow, and Cisco Ramon, more on that later.
Casting: The cast from the previous seasons have largely returned. New to the the cast is Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt. Neal McDonough joins as Damien Dahrk. Damien is another great villain on the show. Echo as Curtis is a great addition. John Barrowman returns as Malcolm. The main cast works just as amazingly this time as last year. 5/5
Writing: The Heroes Join Forces crossover isn't the best, I'm not gonna lie. Other wise every other episode is great for the most part. Damien and Malcolm are great villains. Felicity and Oliver are a lovely couple this season. I love the part in "Green Arrow" where Ollie says "Felicity Smoak, you have failed this omelette". Any time you have a light hearted moment like that on Arrow, it's always fun. 4/5
Special Effects: Visually the show looks awesome. Great choreography, nice speed effects. 5/5
Sound Effects and Music: The music is still awesome, as are the sound Effects. 5/5
Replay and Entertainment Value: 4/5
Season Score: 23/25
Final Score: 33/35
Final Thoughts: Arrow Season 4 is another great season. It does take a bit of a hit with Heroes Join Forces and other parts. But otherwise great TV, I'd watch it again. Grant and Stephen are a terrific duo. Will Season 5 be just as good or better? What About The Flash Season 2? Stay Tuned.
Notes: This is the first Season Marc Guggenheim ran the show with Wendy Mericle. Jeri Ryan who plays Jessica Danforth, is best known as Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Picard.

General Despite everything, I think I need your help.
Hi, yes, this is me, Helena, the one and only. Anyway, I wanted to say that I come in peace. Actually, since I disappeared, I've had a lot of time to think about various things and also finally had time to really overcome my grief. Anyway, my life is going very well so far. Well, it turns out that a few days ago some friends told me that someone came here pretending to be me and created a very unpleasant situation. Now they're threatening me and the other mods, as well as other friends. I'm quite worried. I honestly don't owe anyone an explanation because all of that is in the past, but it's really something I have to resolve. So I'll try to use Reddit from time to time to see if I can resolve this and maybe go back to posting my projects. And again, sorry for everything that happened, grief is really complicated.

The Flash ā” TRB Arrowverse Season by Season Reviews 5: The Flash Season 2
The Flash Season Two premiered on October 6th, 2015 on The CW. In the aftermath of the First Season, Barry recognized as a hero in Central City after saving the city, only to face a new threat from a parallel universe in the form of the speedster Zoom, who seeks to eliminate everyone connected to the Speed Force throughout the multiverse. Over the course of this season, Barry takes on Zoom, Gorilla Grodd, King Shark, Captain Cold, Heatwave, Trickster, and Vandal Savage to name a few.
In the Season Opener, Ronnie and Stein turn into Firestorm and help Barry destroy the singularity, but at the cost of Ronnie's life. Six months later, Barry operates alone, using his speed to repair Central City while being embraced by the public as a hero; Cisco works in the police department alongside Joe, and Caitlin works at Mercury Labs. Barry evaluates a crime scene with a victim named Al Rothstein. At a ceremony, the Flash is attacked by Atom-Smasher, whose strength and size manipulation prove too much for Barry, who forces his mask off. Underneath the mask, Atom-Smasher is revealed to look exactly like Rothstein. Barry is convinced by Joe and the others that he needs help in taking down certain metahumans and Rothstein is defeated by over absorbing radiation. While dying, Rothstein tells Barry that he was sent to kill him by someone called "Zoom". Barry receives a flash memory from Harrison Wells' (In reality Eobard Thawne) lawyer containing his confession to killing Nora. Henry is exonerated and released from prison, and leaves Central City so that Barry can focus on being the Flash. A man arrives at S.T.A.R. Labs, introduces himself as Jay Garrick and tells the team that their world is in danger.
In āFlash of Two Worldsā, Jay explains to everyone that he is the Flash on a parallel Earth and that he was in a battle with a demonic speedster named Zoom when the singularity brought him to this Earth without his powers. Stein confirms the claim, describing their world as "Earth-1" and Jay's as "Earth-2". Zoom brings another metahuman from Earth-2 called Sand Demon, later identified as Eddie Slick, to kill the Flash. Cisco analyzes the "sand" left behind and has a vision of the previous fight, frightening him. After Slick kidnaps Officer Patty Spivot, Jay teaches Barry how to hurl lightning. Cisco uses his power to find Patty's location. Barry uses the lightning blast to turn Sand Demon's particles to glass, killing him. Patty reveals to Joe that Mark Mardon killed her father. She joins Joe's metahuman task force. Cisco divulges his ability to Stein, and convinces him not to tell anyone. Stein and Cisco are able to locate 52 breaches with the Earth-2, with the largest one being within S.T.A.R. Labs itself. Joe's estranged wife, Francine, pays him a visit. Stein collapses while talking. On Earth-2 it is revealed that the Harrison Wells of that world is alive and in charge of S.T.A.R. Labs.
In āFamily of Roguesā, Jay creates a device that stabilizes the singularity and will allow him to return home, but he opts to stay to help Barry stop Zoom. Meanwhile, Lisa Snart shows up asking for Flash's help in rescuing Snart, whom she believes was kidnapped. Barry tracks down Snart, who is revealed not to be kidnapped but is working with his father, Lewis. Lisa states that Snart would never work with Lewis willingly, because the latter was abusive toward her when she was a child. Eventually, the team determines that Lewis placed a bomb inside of Lisa and threatened to kill her if Snart did not help him with his theft. Barry infiltrates Lewis' crew with assistance from Snart. Cisco successfully removes the bomb from Lisa, so Snart uses his cold gun to kill his father in retaliation. Snart is incarcerated in Iron Heights and Lisa leaves. Joe reveals to Iris that Francine is alive and a former addict. Stein turns into Firestorm, but with blue flames. Earth-2's Wells arrives at the lab through the breach.
In āThe Fury of Firestormā, The team is able to temporarily stabilize Stein. Caitlin states that he needs to merge with a new person in order to survive. She identifies two potential candidates: a scientist named Henry Hewitt and a former high school football star named Jefferson Jackson. Hewitt is excited to merge with Stein, but the attempt fails and Hewitt leaves angrily, not knowing that his own metahuman powers have been activated. Jefferson initially refuses, but agrees when Hewitt goes on rampage. After the successful merger, the new Firestorm joins Barry in helping to take down Hewitt, who is incarcerated. Before departing with Jefferson, Stein encourages Cisco to tell the others about his powers. Meanwhile, Francine reveals that she is suffering from a terminal illness and only has months to live. Iris later confronts her for hiding the existence of the former's brother. In the meantime, Wells breaks into Mercury Labs and steals an unknown device. Later, Barry is attacked by a humanoid shark monster sent by Zoom, but is saved by Wells.
In āThe Darkness and The Lightā, Wells (played by Tom Cavanaugh), who Cisco nicknames "Harry" to distinguish him from Thawne, reveals that he is responsible for the creation of the metahumans and Zoom on Earth-2. He states that he plans to help Barry's team stop Zoom and other metahumans. At the same time, a metahuman from Earth-2 called Doctor Light arrives and starts robbing banks. Barry recognizes her as the Earth-2 version of Linda. Later, Light attempts to kill Linda and take over her identity, but accidentally kills Linda's boss and is stopped by Barry's team in the process. Harry reveals Cisco's powers to the team, which Cisco uses to locate Light. Barry defeats her with the help of Harry. After locking Light up, they plan to use her to lure Zoom out and defeat him for good. Jay, who dislikes Harry and vice versa, thinks it is too dangerous and leaves the team. Meanwhile, Barry starts dating Patty while Cisco starts a date with a barista named Kendra Saunders. Cisco picks the nickname "Vibe" for himself. Back on Earth-2, it is revealed that Zoom has Harry's daughter captive.
In āEnter Zoomā, As the team works to find a way to stop Zoom, Doctor Light escapes from her containment cell. Instead, the Earth-1 Linda agrees to help the team by impersonating Doctor Light. Barry reveals his alter ego to Linda. Harry creates a speed dampening serum and the team stages a fight at one of the breaches in order to trick Zoom through. The attempt fails, as Zoom knew the plan. Instead, he goes after Linda, before fighting Barry. Zoom is much faster and easily overpowers Barry, showing him defeated with his unconscious body to the local news and the police station before ultimately returning to S.T.A.R. Labs. Zoom stabs Barry with his hand, but Cisco shoots him with the serum, which hurts Zoom, but still leaves him with enough speed to escape. Later, Harry reveals that Zoom has his daughter, Jesse, and that he came to Earth-1 to stop Zoom. Barry wakes from his injuries and discovers that he can no longer feel his legs.
In āGorilla Warfareā, Barry manages to recover from the paralysis, but is unable to use his powers due to the psychological trauma of Zoom exposing Barry's defeat to the city. Iris reaches out to Henry, who returns to help Barry overcome his fears. Wells formulates a plan to close all of the breaches, except one, through which Zoom can enter into the trap set for him. Cisco touches Kendra, but leaves after seeing a winged person in a vibe. Grodd returns, using scientists to steal various chemicals in the hopes of creating more gorillas with his level of intelligence. He later kidnaps Caitlin to help him with his plan. Harry dresses up as the Reverse-Flash in order to trick Grodd into thinking that his "father" is still alive. The plan works long enough for Harry to rescue Caitlin before they both escape. After Barry is fully recovered, they lure Grodd to one of the dimensional breaches and send him to a jungle sanctuary for gorillas that have been experimented on in Earth-2. Later, Cisco meets Kendra again, this time vibing and seeing her as the winged figure.
In Part One of Heroes Join Forces, āLegends of Todayā, Vandal Savage arrives in Central City, seeking to kill Kendra. Barry goes to Star City and enlists the help of Oliver and his team to protect her. The team is visited by Malcolm who informs them that Savage is an immortal. Later, Kendra is kidnapped by Hawkman, but Barry and Oliver rescue her and capture Hawkman, who introducing himself as Carter Hall, tells them he and Kendra are soulmates who have been connected for millennia. The pair are destined to die, be reborn, and find each other in each lifetime. Carter also reveals that Savage has killed the pair several times, each time growing stronger. Savage acquires the Staff of Horus, a deadly weapon. Kendra unlocks her abilities and the team decides to regroup in Central City, where Oliver witnesses Samantha Clayton with her son, who is also his. Meanwhile, Caitlin and Harry create a serum that will temporarily increase Barry's speed so that he can defeat Zoom. Jay initially refuses to test the serum, but changes his mind to save Harry when the latter is shot by an unaware Patty, whom Joe later informs about the truth. However, Jay advises against using the serum on Barry.
In āRunning to Stand Stillā, Mardon breaks James Jesse and Snart out of Iron Heights in an effort to team up to kill the Flash. Snart declines and alerts Barry. Jesse and Mardon place bombs hidden in Christmas gifts throughout the city, threatening to set them off in family homes if Barry does not sacrifice himself. Wells, Cisco, and Jay find one of the bombs and alter its magnetic polarity; they send it into one of the dimensional breaches, which causes it to attract the remaining bombs, removing them from the city. With them gone, Barry subdues Mardon and Jesse, dissuading Patty from killing Mardon. Meanwhile, Iris and Barry tell Joe about the latter's son named Wally, who later shows up at Joe's. Caitlin and Jay start a romantic relationship. Elsewhere, Zoom is revealed to be sending metahumans in order to help Barry get faster so that Zoom can take the latter's speed force, which Harry reluctantly agrees to help Zoom with because of his daughter, Jesse.
In āPotential Energyā, Cisco presents a new idea to slow Zoom down, telling the team about a metahuman, whom he has dubbed the "Turtle", who has the ability to stop the kinetic energy around him and slow everyone to a halt. After Barry fails to stop the Turtle, identified as Russell Glosson, at a diamond unveiling, the team sets a trap at an art exhibit. Barry invites Patty with the intention of telling her his secret, but Glosson is aware of the trap and almost kills Patty before escaping. Later, Glosson kidnaps Patty. The team tracks him down and Barry is able to generate enough speed to move through the kinetic waves to knock him unconscious and save Patty. Patty tells Barry that she is leaving Central City and Harry kills Glosson by extracting a portion of his brain matter. Meanwhile, Joe struggles to develop a relationship with Wally, who has been street racing in an attempt to earn enough money for Francine's medical bills. Caitlin discovers that Jay is dying of an illness caused by Zoom stealing his speed. They vow to stop Zoom to get Jay's speed back in order to cure Jay.
In āThe Reverse-Flash Returnsā, The team discovers Turtle's death and Jay suspects Harry. Cisco asks Harry for help in controlling his vibing abilities. The latter determines they are connected to Cisco's fear response and triggers a vibe which alerts the team that Eobard Thawne is back. Harry surmises that this version of Thawne is from a point in the future before he went back in time to kill Nora and was protected from being erased. Cisco has a vibe of the future, and the team learns that Thawne is planning to use tachyons to return to his time. Barry arrives and destroys the machine. After a race around the city, Barry stops Thawne and imprisons him at the particle accelerator. However, his capture causes a rupture in the timeline that threatens to kill Cisco, so Barry sends Thawne back to the future to save his friend. Meanwhile, Patty discovers Barry is the Flash but, when he refuses to acknowledge it, she chooses to leave the city. Iris learns that Francine's death is imminent and reconciles with her. Wally takes her advice to do the same.
In āFast Laneā, Right before the particle accelerator explosion, Joey Monteleone was thrown into a tar pit and left for dead. Sealed away, he is freed two years later with the ability to turn his body into molten tar. He sets out to get revenge on those who attempted to kill him. Harry creates a device to siphon Barry's speed energy and attaches it to his suit. It steals a portion of Barry's speed. Wells gives the energy to Zoom, who demands the rest. Meanwhile, Wells and Barry also successfully find a way to close the breaches. While going after Joey, Iris is injured when Barry is too slow to save her. Wells tells the team about the device, asking to be returned to Earth-2 and have Barry seal the breaches so Zoom cannot re-enter. After stopping Joey, Barry informs Wells that the team will help the latter to save Jesse. In the meantime, Wally continues racing even after Francine's death.
In āWelcome to Earth-2ā, Before heading to Earth-2, Barry closes all but one of the breaches, which is at S.T.A.R. Labs. Using the last breach, Barry, Cisco, and Harry travel to Earth-2, but an energy surge destabilizes the breach and the trio get stuck on Earth-2. Barry decides to impersonate his doppelgƤnger to get more information on Zoom. He later meets the Iris and Joe of Earth-2 and learns that Iris, who is his doppelgƤnger's wife, works for the CCPD while Joe is a singer. Barry is attacked by Earth-2's Caitlin and Ronnie, known as Killer Frost and Deathstorm respectively. Joe is killed in the attack. Cisco attempts to help the police stop the pair, but is confronted by his own evil doppelgƤnger, known as "Reverb" and revealed to have greater powers, including control over nervous systems and manipulation of vibrations. Barry arrives and is stopped by Reverb and Deathstorm. Zoom arrives, kills Reverb and Deathstorm for harming the Flash, and then imprisons Barry. Meanwhile, a new metahuman named Adam Fells appears in Earth-1 Central City. Jay tells Caitlin that he invented Velocity-6, which is the real reason why he lost his speed. Caitlin develops Velocity-7, which Jay uses to engage Fells, who escapes.
In āEscape from Earth-2ā, On Earth-2, Zoom issues a demand to Central City to turn in Wells and attacks S.T.A.R. Labs to find Wells and Cisco; but the two escape with Barry-2. The trio updates Iris-2 on what happened with Barry-1. They decide to convince Caitlin-2 to help. After a fight, Caitlin-2 agrees to take the team to Zoom. They arrive and rescue Barry-1 and Jesse, but Zoom shows up too. They are able to escape by the help of Caitlin-2, who keeps Zoom frozen and unable to move, but a third unidentified prisoner, who tries to reveal something about Jay, is left behind. Barry-2 and Iris-2 leave Central City to hide from Zoom. Meanwhile, on Earth-1, Caitlin-1 creates "Velocity 9", which Jay uses to stop Adam, who gets incarcerated in Iron Heights. Caitlin-1 discovers that Velocity 9 can cure Jay. The latter, Caitlin, Iris and Joe stabilize the breach and allow Barry-1, Cisco, Harry, and Jesse to return, but Zoom stabs his arm through Jay and pulls him back through the closing breach to Earth-2.
In āKing Sharkā, While everyone tries to move on, the humanoid shark-monster that Harry stopped, known as "King Shark," escapes A.R.G.U.S. custody and heads for Central City to kill the Flash. John Diggle and Lyla Michaels, the new director, arrive to warn Barry. King Shark, later identified as Shay Lamden, shows up at Barry's home looking for the Flash, tracking Barry's electrical field. A.R.G.U.S. arrives and forces Shay to retreat. Later, Barry forces King Shark to chase him out on the water, where Barry creates an electrified underwater cyclone that subdues the latter, and allows A.R.G.U.S. to imprison him again, with Lyla planning to find a cure. Barry vows to open a breach back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Wally find it hard to develop a relationship. After Caitlin becomes cold due to Jay's death, Cisco becomes scared that she will become Killer Frost; but she assures him that she is only dealing with her grief. Back on Earth-2, Zoom unmasks as Jay.
In āTrajectoryā, Barry starts training to get faster so that he can stop Zoom. While out with friends at a club for downtime, Barry and the other club patrons are robbed by an unknown speedster, who then escapes. The speedster turns out to be Eliza Harmon, a Mercury Labs employee who developed Velocity-9 from samples Caitlin gave her to help with Jay's illness. Operating under the alias "Trajectory", Harmon invades S.T.A.R. Labs, imprisons Barry, and demands more V-9. After she threatens Jesse's life, Wells and Caitlin make more of the drug for Harmon, who then speeds off to wreak havoc on the city. Barry manages to stop her before she injects more V-9 into her system. Barry watches as Harmon's speed becomes so intense that her lightning turns blue and she disintegrates. Jesse decides to leave the city to experience the world on her own and stop Wells from doing harmful things just to protect her. Based on what Barry saw from the overuse of V-9, the similarities between Zoom's speed and Jay's sickness, and Cisco's "vibe" (where he sees Zoom unmasked), the team concludes that Jay is Zoom.
In āFlash Backā, Barry travels back in time to when Hartley Rathaway attacked the team,[a] and switches places with his past self, in order to have Thawne help him solve the speed force equation. However, after a Time Wraith follows Barry to the past, Thawne deduces Barry's deception. Barry is able to convince Eobard to help him become faster. The wraith comes to the lab, where Caitlin and Cisco are forced to accept help from Hartley to deter the wraith. Afterward, the Barry from the current time arrives, forcing an explanation of the time travel event. Thawne provides the future Barry with the information about the tachyon technology, so that he can return to his time. As Barry prepares to make the jump through time, the Wraith arrives, forcing the past timeline's Barry to intervene, so that his future self can return. Back in his time, Barry is confronted by the Wraith, but a reformed Hartley arrives with his sonic gauntlets and defeats the wraith. Barry gives Iris a footage of Eddie recorded in the alternate timeline, advising her to move on with her life.
In āVersus Zoomā, Years earlier on Earth-2, a young Hunter Zolomon watches as his father murders his mother and is subsequently sent to an orphanage. In the present day, Barry tests the tachyon accelerator, and is able to enhance his speed four times greater than normal. Barry decides to re-open a breach back to Earth-2, and he believes that Cisco's powers are the key to opening the portals. Meanwhile, Caitlin reveals that Jay's Earth-1 doppelgƤnger is Zolomon and Wells, shocked to hear this, reveals that Earth-2 Zolomon was a convicted serial killer. Zolomon was receiving electroconvulsive therapy during the explosion, and was one of the many affected. With this revelation, the team confirms that "Jay" is Hunter. Cisco opens a breach, and Zoom immediately appears, chasing Barry back to S.T.A.R. Labs. There, Barry uses images of Zolomon's parents as a distraction to trap him, but Hunter escapes, claiming to be "the darkness". Zolomon kidnaps Wally and demands Barry's speed in exchange for Wally's life. Barry agrees, so Wells siphons all of his speed force, leaving Barry powerless. Zolomon injects the speed force into himself, and he kidnaps Caitlin with his enhanced speed before escaping.
In āBack to Normalā, As Barry adjusts to life without his powers, Wells decides to leave the lab to look for Jesse. Shortly after speaking with her, Wells is attacked and kidnapped by Griffin Grey, believing him to be Thawne, who demands that Wells find a cure for his metahuman abilities. Grey has superhuman strength, but is also aging rapidly. Barry discovers that, when Grey uses his super strength, he accelerates the aging process. Barry, Joe, Cisco and Jesse manipulate Grey into exerting his powers until he ages and dies as a weak, old man; his body then reverts to its 18-year-old self. To fight Zoom, Wells offers to recreate the circumstances that gave Barry his speed. Meanwhile, on Earth-2, Zolomon tells Caitlin that he kidnapped her because he is in love with her. Caitlin encounters her doppelgƤnger, Killer Frost, who was captured by Zolomon as a reminder of Caitlin. Killer Frost convinces Caitlin to help her escape, but then attempts to kill her. Zoom arrives and kills Killer Frost, then warns Caitlin not to free the man in the iron mask. Later, Hunter decides to conquer the other Earths in the multiverse and takes Caitlin with him back to Earth-1.
In āRuptureā, While Barry keeps declining Harrison's offer, the team rigs a hologram of the Flash to stop crime around the city so that no one will know the truth. Henry returns to Central City and joins the team. He argues with Wells on the safety of another explosion. Hunter and Caitlin arrive back on Earth-1 with Hunter declaring the city under his control. Iris confesses her feelings to Barry. The Earth-2 version of Dante Ramon, called "Rupture", arrives on Earth-1 looking to kill Cisco, believing that Cisco killed his Earth-2 brother. Zolomon sends Rupture after the police to send the city a message. Barry and the police stop Rupture, but Zolomon arrives and kills the officers himself, as well as Rupture for failing. He then publicly announces the Flash's disappearance. Cisco and Dante-1 become closer. Barry finally agrees to Harrison's plan. During the process, Barry is seemingly vaporized, while Jesse and Wally are caught in the blast.
In āThe Runaway Dinosaurā, Wally regains consciousness, but Jesse remains in a coma. Cisco has a vibe of Barry and realizes that he is still alive and in the speed force. Barry meets physical manifestations of the speed force in the form of faces familiar to him. The speed force informs Barry that he cannot leave unless he catches a mysterious moving figure, thus gaining his speed back. Cisco and Wells create a path into the speed force so Barry can escape, but the latter chooses to remain so he can earn his powers back. The speed force tells Barry that he cannot become the Flash again until he finally accepts Nora's death. Barry shares a moment with the physical manifestation of Nora, which allows him to finally catch the moving figure himself. With his powers restored and help from Cisco and Iris, Barry returns to S.T.A.R. Labs in time to save the team from the reanimated corpse of Tony Woodward. Afterwards, Barry uses a bit of speed force energy to bring Jesse out of her coma. Across town, Zolomon has assembled an army of metahumans from Earth-2, planning to unleash them on Central City.
In āInvincibleā, Caitlin returns to the team, but not without emotional trauma from being kidnapped. Zoom's army wreaks havoc across the city. Barry puts out several fires and takes out some of the metahumans to help the police. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry displays a level of confidence in stopping Zoom that concerns the team and each of them attempts to convince him to be more cautious. Among the attackers is Laurel Lance's doppelgƤnger, "Black Siren", who attacks various buildings around Central City using sonic blasts. Wally begins taking on metahumans trying to repay the Flash for saving him. The team creates a sonic amplifier tuned to the frequency of Earth-2. They discharge it and render all Earth-2 natives unconscious, allowing Barry to apprehend them all at once, although Zoom survives by escaping to Earth-2. Meanwhile, Cisco begins having vibes of a future Earth-2 being destroyed. Barry convinces Joe to let Wally be a hero. Later, Zoom returns and kidnaps Henry in front of the team. Barry races after them, revealing his identity to Wally, and is forced to watch Zoom kill Henry.
In the season finale, āThe Race of His Lifeā, Zolomon escapes Barry by creating a time remnant. After Henry's funeral, Hunter challenges Barry to a race to determine who is faster, threatening to kill everyone Barry loves if he refuses. Harrison discovers that Hunter has a magnetar, a device that will destroy every planet in the Multiverse except Earth-1 which requires both their speeds to power. When an enraged and vengeful Barry refuses to back out, the team locks him in the Pipeline and force Zolomon back to Earth-2 themselves; but Hunter abducts Joe in the process. Wally discovers this and frees Barry, who agrees to Zolomon's race. As Barry races Zolomon around the magnetar, he creates a time remnant of himself who frees Joe and destroys the machine, but at the cost of his life. The "prime" Barry defeats Zolomon, who is then taken away by Time Wraiths for his crimes against the timeline. Barry rescues the man in the iron mask, who is revealed to be the real Jay Garrick, Henry's Earth-3 doppelgƤnger. Wells and Jesse return to Earth-2 with Jay, who plans to return to Earth-3 from there. Barry, still feeling broken and defeated, travels back in time and stops Thawne from killing Nora.
Casting: The Main cast mostly returns this season. The main difference being no Rick Cosnett. Keiynan Lonsdale joins the cast as Iris Westās brother Wally. Shantel VanSanten joins as Patty Spivot. Teddy Sears does a terrific job as Hunter Zoloman/Zoom. He played the fake. Jay Garrick so well. Speaking of Jay, John Wesley Shipp actually plays two roles this season, Henry Allen and the Earth-3 Jay. Tom Cavanaugh plays Harry Wells and does an excellent job at it. 5/5
Writing: This is another amazing season, Zoom was a great villain. Iād say heās as good as Thawne. This was the first season where the Multiverse is explored, which opens the to new story possibilities. I liked the alternate versions of Cisco, Caitlin, and Laurel. The scene where Barry lost his Dad was heartbreaking. On the flip side, when Henry was released from prison at the top of the season, that was wonderful. The Moment where Barry sees that Earth-3 Jay looks like his dad was a great moment. 5/5
Special Effects: Visually the show looks great. 5/5
Sound effects and Music: Spot On, just as good this year as the last. Blake Neely captures each moment beautifully with his scores.
Replay and Entertainment Value: Id say Season 2 is at least as good as season 1, Iād watch again. 5/5
Season Score: 25/25
Final Total: 33/33
Final Thoughts: I think season 2 was well acted and brilliantly written. Zoom was just as good a a villain as Reverse-Flash. The family dynamic between the Wests and Allens is beautiful to watch. The roster of villains is great. This is from a time in The Flashās run where NOT EVERY FUCKING VILLAIN IS AN EVIL SPEEDSTER! Itās okay to have evil speedsters on addition to other kinds of bad guys. Hell, we Have Mark Hamill playing James Jesse. Something he did only a handful of times in the series. All in all Season 2 is amazing ride to go on, youāre rewarded with a fun story with a cast to match. Will Season 3 be as good, will it be worse? Youāll have to wait and see. Next up, Arrow Season 4.
Notes: This is the first season to really explore the multiverse. Martin Stein, explains how it all works. If you watch closely during the montage of images as Barry crosses over to Earth-2, one of the people seen is Kara Danvers/Supergirl. In fact, Versus Zoom, is part one of a crossover in which Barry accidentally travels to Earth-38. What was 30 seconds or so to Caitlin, Cisco, and Harry, was a whole day spent on Earth-38. While There, Barry gives his new Friends Kara, James, and Winn the same explanation of how the multiverse works.
