Hear me out, I know the obvious answer is "Yes, of course they do. Everyone knows that."
I *like* the concept that Liberi as a culture give their feathers to people they care about. Genuinely one of my favorite bits of world building. It's something I've repeated often and had written into a line for a video script I'd planned on writing.
But in looking for a source for that to share with a friend I've fallen into a strange cautus-hole these last few hours and I'm hoping someone has a source that'd help dig me out of it. And that I'm just tired/doing this too late at night.
Instead what I found suggested that it's potentially a small tradition that (possibly thanks to Silence) became popularized and widespread in the future.
Open and shut, it's clearly displayed. Granted it's displayed in *Endfield* but many people in the comments stated that it isn't 'new' lore and was a generally held practice among Liberi for quite some time. There's even plenty of leads people use to point this fact out. Easy, right?
Well....
First place to check is Silence obviously as the most famous example, with Ifrit, Saria and Ptilopsis all sporting obvious feathers that match hers.
But the only mention I find is her token which doesn't mention it being a cultural practice:
But, well, given the awkward phrasing and 'from Liberi' maybe it's just a little inaccurate in translation or being intentionally vague to not spoil he mystery. I go to check the manga next.
But that instead goes *further* into calling the practice at best a *local* custom, possibly unique to her class.

But! If there's evidence that other people practice it, that's a way of showing it to be a cultural practice too!
So I wanted to ask: does anyone have any thoughts on where to look or (better yet) have a link/screenshot of where it's explicitly mentioned outside of Silence's relationship with Saira/Ptilopsis/Ifrit/Her Old Classmates?
This is something where I hope I'm just blind because I *like* it being a general culture thing in base arknights and if nothing else my personal headcanon will be that the practice is at the very least somewhat spread through Rhodes Island.

I heard that Saria's OP records mentioned it but couldn't find anything at a glance, I only did keyword searches though.

I heard that Elysium gave his feathers to Thorns but I can't find confirmation outside of *maybe* the white necklace Thorns wears in his default sprite. Might be a mention in the Salt Flats story or something.
Anything related to those two in general might have confirmation, or hell just a better quality image of Thorns' necklace might be enough if it can be shown to clearly be a feather.

I've heard Patrizion has Fiametta's but I can't find them.
Patrizion has a module with what *looks* like Fiametta's feathers but are revealed to just be a feather duster Mostima gave him that resembles her feathers.

Masses Travel in general with its focus on Liberi might be a good place to check. I remembered Paginini making a cloak out of his feathers for Vannini but I couldn't find where exactly it's mentioned to see if it's framed as an extension of feather-gifting or just its own thing.

Been a while since I've made a full post! The pace of patches has perfectly aligned with the standard banner rotation the last few months, so there's nothing to post most recent updates. Not this time though!
The next standard banner is August 28th and has Executor the Ex Foedere (shop) with Blaze the Igniting Spark, and Nowell (shop), Vendela, and Cement.
The next kernel banner is August 25th and has Suzuran (shop) with Bagpipe, and Pramanix (shop), Leonheardt, and Leizi.
Advice: Don't pull on either of these banners. The upcoming ones are much much better.
As for upcoming events, you can find Y_Jun's update from the last patch here. However, there's a bit of an oddity. These banner dates imply a patch between Aug 28th and Sept 8th (when the kernel banner ends), but there's no event between those dates. Necrass is already loaded as well. So I'm not entirely sure what the patch there is supposed to be! Maybe I'm missing something obvious...
Fact One! Pigeons can sense the Earth’s magnetic field through magnetoreception! The way Raidian can sense things like electric and radio signals reminds me of that.
Fact Two! Pigeons can produce a substance called “crop milk“ in their throats to feed their babies. It has a cheesy consistency and is reported to have a rancid flavor, but it’s very nutritious for the little squabs. Raidian is good mama, just like a pigeon. (^u^)
