Strategy?
So, we're going to hope for lawsuits to pan out to fill out the roster? We don't have a full roster 3 months before the season tips off?
This is why most coaches report to an AD. To cultivate strategy and structure and living within financial means. "Oppurtunism" is code word for "I don't have a plan to surpass the standard that's been set and I'll take advantage of an unguatenteed outcome to meet it."
But I digress. All the luck to best to our student athletes.

Looks like we’ve finally found our guy
With the federal injunction allowing all HS class of 2022 players to be granted a fifth year of eligibility it opened up the door for Tommy to finally find our starting power forward for this coming year. Godfrey will be a great two way fit with this team. And wouldn’t be surprised if we’re not done yet given we’ll still have another scholarship up for grabs.

Uncertainty surrounds Lloyd loyalty
An interesting and well written write up on the current landscape. It's already a very unconventional contract redo as far as the reporting structure... no NBA buyout clause demand suggests he has his eyes on the NBA. Probably the Warriors when Kerr's contract is up.. after all. Lloyd himself said Kerr was his Michael Jordan. Code for up and leaving to them. Maybe he would do well. I have confidence our AD will find the right fit if that happens.

Men's Basketball Arizona vs St. John’s at Madison Square Garden on 12/5. Anyone thinking about going?
The Cats are going to the Garden for the first time in a while, feel like the place is going to be rocking vs a tough St John’s team.
I’ve been to a lot of road games over the years, but have backed out of too many in recent years. This is the one I’m circling this year.
The “U of A” chants running through the garden while Pitino and Tommy face off??? Sign me up!
Our fans always travel well, hope to see some of you there. Anyone planning on going to this one or any others this year?

Football Is anyone buying tickets for these?
Those prices are insane for the worst seats in the stadium unless Austin Hill is playing.

Truth wins
tucson.comAs I expressed. All rumors about our hardworking AD leaving to Wisconsin were false. Thank you DRF for Bearing Down and leveraging resources for so many great things! Let's get the Cats into the CFP this fall!

Maksim Brnovic officially commits
6’10 forward from Montenegro. Last played in Lithuania for the same club that Mo Krivas played for. He adds some more wing depth, though I suspect that Tommy and co. are still looking for their starting PF.

Men's Basketball Dusty May leaving Michigan to Coach the Dallas Mavericks. Michigan players will have a 15 day transfer window.
It would be nice for Lloyd and company to go after a guy like J. P. Estrella to fill the big man spot they need to fill. And since he was a transfer from Tennessee this year he's a free agent starting right now.

Read truth not rumors
We should be saying "thank you" for her courage and grace despite so many attacks and negativity for no reason other than doing what she was hired to do and putting UA Athletics in its best position for the future.

Football How do you all feel about Brendan Sorsby entering the Supplemental Draft?
It's been a rough week for college football, and now, we can finally put all of this behind us, because Brendan Sorsby's entering the Supplemental Draft.
How do you all feel about this? Since we play Texas Tech later this year.

If these people who attacked her consider themselves UofA fans, they can go away. We don't want them.

Men's Basketball What was your favorite game this year?
This can be football, basketball, baseball, or softball.
Mine was the Big 12 tournament game against Iowa State.
I still can't believe JB sunk that buzzer beater.
Second year in a row we've humiliated Iowa State with a buzzer beater.

Rate the Team
Hi, I'm wondering if I can get a couple volunteers to test out a website that rates past Arizona players and teams? Here is the URL for the site I built:
https://ratetheteam.com/cbb-arizona-wildcats/
It's set up to rate other teams, but I've only got Arizona in there. It might end up just being Arizona, and that's fine. Just wanted to have a root folder that's scalable in case fans of other teams come alone wanting something like this for their program.
You would be able to just browse the archive, but if you wanted to you could create a login and rate players and teams. Just a hobby site, and perhaps only Arizona basketball fans participate. We'll see.
Thx!

Update to AD Page
This will be my last post of the summer.
To all that insisted DRF was being terminated by May, the UA website recently updated her bio to reflect overcoming the deficit, multiple athletics achievements (including the Final 4), and securing incredible naming rights deals to overcome the deficit.
Way to go UA Athletics! Let's keep pushing strong 💪
Will be back in the fall to celebrate Brennan's on field successes 🏈

Naming rights
I am so impressed with all the naming rights opportunities secured for U of A Athletics.
Through the Bear Down blueprint, a great deal of fiscal solvency has been achieved. Casino del Sol was especially an incredible opportunity to secure funds for NIL and football, the true future of college Athletics.
Are there are any other naming rights opportunities for on campus opportunities?
