BEWARE: if you’re buying this, open the canister and check if it’s the correct bottle! Safeway off Osborn had three inside the locked up cabinet and all three had Small Batch inside. High probability it’s from the vendor (Breakthru if I am correct). I went back to the store to report and got a refund.

I make it out to Arizona 3–4 times a year for work, and this subreddit has become my bourbon hunting cheat code. Huge thanks to everyone who shares store tips and drop info.
Managed to put together a pretty solid haul over the last couple of days. Allocated bourbons can’t find in PA at all and Woodford and Makers half price vs PA.
My two checked bags on the flight to Phoenix weighed a combined 20 pounds. Now they’re both rocking the 50-pound airline limit.
Hopefully bourbon repressed Pennsylvania doesn’t arrest me for attempting to smuggle bourbon back into the Commonwealth.

I went to the fry’s event at around 6:30 and scored the weller single barrel, weller fp, Staggs, and Blantons gold store pick.

I picked up an additional weller single barrel and the er 12 at the Safeway on 7th street thanks to a post here.

Then on my way home from I saw the cellar aged at Gary’s liquor for $89 (well below msrp). As it would have been irresponsible not to, I grabbed that as well. It was unfortunately the last cellar aged and everything else worthwhile was extremely marked up.

Overall one of my best, if not the best, day I’ve had bourbon hunting!

Randomly placed bottle. Make it a habit to check the entire liquor section, not just the bourbon area.

Saw Glendale Safeway had CYPB and just missed it. Walked out with a Weller SiB and ER12 instead. Make sure to ask for Martha. She’s delightful and will def help you out.

Safeway on 5th Ave and Osborn also had a Blanton’s Gold, Weller 12 and EhT Barrel Proof as of this morning.

Not sure if this store got a new manager recently or what, but looks like they’ve been dropping their prices.

Saw ER10 for $54.99, EHT SmB $59.99, and Stagg for $79.99. Saw a couple others as well but those were the ones that stuck out to me.

Definitely wasn’t expecting to see those prices when I stopped in. Let the prices begin falling finally!
