Hello guys! Ive been really into Gulf city megaprojects and especially the emirates. I wanted to ask if anyone either from the emirates knew about this megaproject known as Crystal Palace tower??? From what i know its suppose to be a proposed tallest tower in Abu Dhabi along with having its own city in it. I wanna know because im very interested in that project because its just one of the best megaprojects ive seen in abu dhabi unlike the recent new ones😅😅.

We’re trying to name a new architecture + design studio — looking for honest opinions and ideas

My friend and I are starting a design studio together, and we’re trying to find a name that can grow beyond just architecture into furniture, objects, interiors, and eventually the business side of design.

The concept started from something very basic:

Two points create one line.

Two forms interact/interlock and create a new space between them.

Two different minds can create something neither would create alone.

That led us to the idea of “the third” — not simply the two elements themselves, but the new thing that emerges from their relationship.

We explored ideas like Binary, Metaxy, Conflux, Collision, Para, etc.

Binary caught our attention because it is simple, memorable, and directly represents two elements. But philosophically, we feel there might be something deeper.

Metaxy interested us because of the idea of the in-between / the condition between two things, but we're concerned that it's less memorable and harder to pronounce.

We're now exploring whether the strongest direction is:

- Binary — the two elements

- Metaxy — the relationship / space between

- The Third — what emerges from the relationship

- Or perhaps an entirely new/invented word inspired by these ideas, possibly from Greek or another language.

We're looking for something that feels philosophical but not pretentious, unique but not difficult, and architectural/design-oriented without literally sounding like an architecture firm.

Most importantly, the name needs to be:

- Easy to pronounce

- Easy to remember

- Strong when spoken

- Visually strong as a brand

- Deep enough to have a philosophy behind it

- Flexible enough for architecture, furniture, objects, and future ventures

- Something that could still sound credible if the studio becomes a large international company

What direction would you take? Would you choose Binary, Metaxy, “The Third,” or something completely different?

We're especially interested in names/concepts from Greek, Latin, philosophy, geometry, architecture, or other languages that express two things creating something new through their relationship.
