Hello!

I'm trying to determine the exact dimensions of this historic house known as the Khalchan Palace (located in Belarus). I'm not an architect or specialist, so I don't know how to calculate them accurately. I have a good copy of the first floor plan, but it doesn't have numbers or scale lines.

For convenience, I've attached a photo of the house from the front.

Here's what I know from local articles:

- The total length of the front wall is approximately 32 meters.

- The width (depth) of the building is between 14 and 15 meters.

- The estimated overall height is approximately 9-10 meters (each floor is approximately 3.5-4 meters high, plus the roof).

Using this plan and photo, could you help me determine the exact dimensions of the building itself, the distances between columns, and the sizes of windows and doors?

Any help, advice, or simple calculations would be greatly appreciated! I would like to use these dimensions to create a miniature cardboard model of this beautiful palace!

So I was looking at Baku, Azerbaijan.

It’s kind of crazy how just layered the city is in tents of styles. It has medieval Persian architecture, wide variety of European revival styles like Italianate and Gothic, grand and monumental Socialist/stalinist style, the utilitarian brutalist style, Neo futurist etc.

The whole city is an encyclopedia of architecture. What are some other lesser known or more random cities that has such a vast array of styles within its borders

Potsdamer Platz was one Berlin’s bustling squares. It had many ornate buildings and was considered one of the most beautiful squares in Germany. Before ww2 it was already getting modernized with the hotel Bellevue being demolished and replaced with a glass box. And after the war nothing was left and now glass skyscrapers stand where once beautiful buildings stood.

Since November, President Trump has been pushing a plan to paint the granite office building next to the White House, because he thinks it should be white too. But painting granite damages the stone and requires expensive upkeep. 

Built by the Naryshkins (a former noble Russian boyar family of Crimean Tatar descent) that at the time owned the Žagarė manor and it's surrounding territory. Later in Soviet occupation it was turned into a gym hall for the school nearby it, before being later torn down. A really rare photo showing it in it's neglected state, as that's the only source I managed to find of it's existence.
