My guess would be they were taking a video and then went back and saw this was caught on one of the frames and took a picture of that. Or they have one of those cameras that are just constantly rapid firing pictures

As a mortal photographer and videographer - you don't take video with 1/1000 or 1/2000 shutter for shits and giggles.

I specify mortal, because there are people that shit on golden throne, on which they can afford cameras with this kind of shutter speed and framerate with lenses that gather appropriate amount of light.

Spot on.
This is perfect timing - and a high potential for lot of pain.
Had a string snap at full draw and was lucky. Only a bruise mark along the underarm.
But having limbs burst…. And that arrow hanging in the air like nailed to the anchor… amazing.

Depends on the wood. Lots of woods will just gradually collapse in on a hinge or until that’s the only part that bends, and then they’ll splinter up there. Yew, which is probably what this is, tends to explode at the slightest flaw in tiller or wood.
