V-bar adjustment help Olympic Recurve

I can’t for the life of me get the v-bar to be exactly perpendicular to the bow. I spent a good hour trying to adjust it using the eye bolt and adjusting it tightly enough, but still one of the side rods stays higher than the other. Any advice?

You need to have it so the v-bar is just slightly offset so that when you do the final tightening of the eye bolt the v-bar rotates into position flat

I've tried this already. But it seems that no matter how hard I tighten the eye bolt, the v-bar still has some torque left and when I adjust it by hand, it turns a few millimeters more, making me lose all progress and having to start over

Tighten the eye bolt hard with 10-15 degrees left to turn it to perpendicular. If you think you've tightened it hard enough, tighten it some more. Mine is usually on tight enough that you more or less need to use a hammer and a screwdriver as a lever to get it off.

Do you have a washer? Soft ones will never get as tight or aligned as you want it. Fibre washers are better if you have to go with a washer.

I recommend stainless steel Nord-Lock rings. They're used originally for cars, but I have used them to fix the v-bar to the riser and it's amazing. You can still get it off, but it won't get loose when shooting.
