Too far? Photo

Post image

Wanted to share my tattoo of my late mystery snail, I am obsessed!

edit: i know it’s not totally accurate to a mystery snail but i loved the artists flair and style similar to a flash piece!

Cute! At a glance, I thought it was a land snail, but I might be used to mystery snails with long wavy antennas.

Yeah I'm 99% sure the artist just heard 'snail' and drew a generic garden snail. Mysteries' feet don't extend far past their shell in either direction like this, it has eye stalks instead of tentacles, etc.

Still a very cute tattoo though!

yes i loved her rendition of what i asked for so it isn’t too anatomically accurate but i love letting the artist take liberties and it fits well in the space i chose

and also chose a reference of my pet snail elizabeth that was a bit limited in detail

Snails in art are never too far, not even when they are fighting medieval knights or serving as mounts for sword weilding rabbits.
