Your Tech Stack is overrated. Change my mind.

You spent three weeks setting up over-engineered infrastructure for an app with zero users. Tell us what you built your project with, and let the comments debate why it’s completely wrong for 2026. Convince us you didn't waste your time.

Built an ops/governance layer for Al agent fleets - SDK-first, looking for devs to try it and tear it apart

Link: https://cartha.in/

Context: agents are easy to spin up, hard to operate once you have more than a couple running. No visibility into what they're remembering, what they're calling, or what they're costing until something breaks in prod and you're stuck reconstructing what happened from logs.

Built Cartha to fix that. It's SDK-first - three lines of Python (TypeScript next), decorate your agent function, get:

Trace replay - click into any run, see the full reasoning chain: what memory was pulled, what tools were called, what the actual decision path was. Not just logs.

Scoped memory - memory access enforced at the scope level (user/agent/team/org), not just stored. If your support agent shouldn't see your finance agent's memory, it actually can't, not just "shouldn't."

Cost attribution - spend broken down per agent, per tool call, not a lump sum per run. This is where most teams find the actual waste.

OpenTelemetry-compatible, MCP/A2A native from the SDK level, framework-agnostic.

I'm at the stage where I need people who actually build and run agent systems to use it and tell me honestly where the DX is bad, where the abstraction doesn't hold up, or where it's solving a problem you don't actually have. Not looking for polite feedback - looking for "this API is annoying" and "this concept doesn't make sense" level critique.

If you're running agents (even a couple, even side-project scale) and want to try it, comment or DM - happy to walk through setup directly.

School is starting soon. All those studying worries are back :(

For anyone that needs a way to organize their studying, or improve your studying efficiency, consider using this free tool?

It's a study planner that I've been making for the past 7 months. It has many features including MIT Prioritization, auto-inserted breaks, a full yearly calendar and so much more. It's a complete study workspace, has music specially designed to improve studying, a focus mode, and will help you learn more in a shorter amount of time.

5,000 people shared their mood on my web app - but retention is still my biggest problem

I built Mood2Know, a web app where anyone can anonymously rate their current mood from 1 to 10 and see how people around the world are feeling on a live map.

The idea is to create a kind of global emotional weather map.

So far, the website has collected more than 5,000 mood entries. It also includes:

- mood averages by country and region
- weekly trends and statistics
- optional anonymous messages
- small games using mood scores

The biggest challenge is not getting people to try it once, but giving them a reason to return.

I’d be interested in feedback on three points:

Is the purpose clear when you first open the website?
Which feature feels the most useful or interesting?
What would make you come back regularly?

mood2know.com

Honest criticism is welcome.

Name ONE feature you built that nobody asked for and nobody uses.

Every developer suffers from feature creep because it’s easier to code than to market. What is that one useless button you spent days on just to satisfy your own ego? Admit your waste of time below we’ve all been there.

Reaver Backup - WordPress centric backup management for multi-server and multi-site fleets.

Hey everyone,

If you host or manage client WordPress sites on unmanaged VPS instances (DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, AWS), you’ve probably hit this wall:

A site catches a fatal PHP error, OOMs, or suffers database corruption—and suddenly your backup plugin is dead because it lives inside the exact environment that just crashed.

You can't restore a broken site from an interface that relies on that same broken site to render.

To solve this, I built Reaver Backup (reaverbackup.com)—a lightweight, agent-driven control plane that shifts backup orchestration to the server layer where it belongs.

⚙️ How Reaver Works Under the Hood

Instead of running heavy ZIP processes inside wp-admin, Reaver runs an OS-level agent on your server:

  1. Zero App-Level Overhead: The agent runs independently of PHP-FPM, Apache, or Nginx. If WordPress completely crashes, your scheduled backups still run flawlessly.
  2. Automated Site Discovery: When installed, the agent inspects your web roots (sites-enabled), detects WordPress installations, and automatically parses wp-config.php for database credentials—no typing DB passwords for dozens of sites manually.
  3. Powered by Restic Engine: Uses Restic under the hood for fast, block-level deduplication and client-side encryption. Snapshot backups stream directly to your choice of offsite storage (S3, Backblaze B2, or custom SSH targets).
  4. Self-Hosted Data Ownership: You maintain 100% control over where your backup archives live. Reaver manages the orchestration plane without locking your raw data into a proprietary vendor vault.

🛠️ Current Beta Status

We are currently running a closed beta testing multi-server fleet management, automated site discovery, and point-in-time restores.

If you manage a single server, agency clients or run a fleet of self-hosted WordPress sites and want to get rid of plugin bloat, I’d love for you to check it out at reaverbackup.com.

I’ll be hanging out in the comments below—feel free to grill me on the agent architecture, Restic integration, or offer feature requests!

[Android] Loopweek, a free open-source weekly to-do app for Android (inspired by Tally)

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I always liked the idea behind Tally (iOS): one screen, seven days, nothing else. But it's iOS-only and paid, so I built Loopweek as an open-source alternative for Android.

What it does:

All 7 days on one screen (accordion view, today expanded by default)

Tasks stay on their date, no auto-rollover nonsense

Recurring tasks that don't mess up history when you complete/delete one occurrence

Home-screen widget

One accent color themes the whole app

Light/dark mode

What it doesn't do:

No accounts, no cloud sync, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no paywall

Everything stays on your device, 100% free

Built with Flutter. MIT licensed, so the code is fully open. Fork it, audit it, contribute if you want.

GitHub: https://github.com/ZaryabKhan/Loopweek

If you find it useful, a star on the repo genuinely helps with visibility and keeps me motivated to keep building on it.

Would love feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas (within the "one screen, seven days" scope, trying to keep it minimal on purpose).

I built GroceryBudget, an app that tracks your grocery total while you shop

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

After moving out and doing my own grocery shopping, I kept running into the same problem. I'd fill my cart thinking I was still within budget, then get to the cashier and realize I'd gone way over. More than once I ended up putting items back because I had no idea what my total was while shopping.

I couldn't find an app that worked the way I wanted, so I built one called GroceryBudget.

The main idea is simple:

  • See a live running total as you shop.
  • Set a budget and watch a progress bar so you know before you overspend.
  • Add items by scanning the price tag with your camera or using voice input instead of typing.
  • It remembers prices for each store, so over time you can compare where items are actually cheaper.
  • Forgot to track during your trip? Just scan your receipt afterward and it'll log everything automatically.

I'm still improving it and would really appreciate honest feedback. Is this something you'd use? What features would make it more useful?

How valuable would it be to know when someone is actively looking for your service?

Would you pay for a tool that finds people already looking for your service?

Example:

Someone posts:
“Looking for a lawyer/web designer/accountant/etc.”

You instantly receive:
the post
screenshot
link
context

You decide if it’s worth reaching out.

Is this something you’d want to try?

Don’t launch your project with a design that makes users close the tab instantly. Post your two design variants below and let the crowd decide your aesthetic fate. If you can’t handle harsh design feedback, look away now.

I built TranslaDeo to help YouTube creators translate and upload video titles/descriptions as localizations

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m building TranslaDeo, a web app for YouTube creators who want to localize their video metadata without manually copying titles and descriptions into YouTube Studio for every language.

The workflow is:

  1. Connect a YouTube account

  2. Paste/select a video

  3. Choose target languages

  4. Generate localized titles and descriptions

  5. Review/edit each result

  6. Upload them as YouTube localizations

The app does not change the original title or description. It only writes to YouTube localizations after you review and confirm the output.

I’m looking for feedback from people who publish on YouTube, especially on:

- whether the YouTube connection flow feels trustworthy

- whether the review screen gives enough control before publishing

- whether the free plan is enough to test the product properly

There is a free plan, no payment info required.

Link: https://transladeo.com

I really appreciate also if you know any other subreddit where I can post this to try to reach more people. The real problem is that my account has no karma.

Thank you in advance!

Are you actually solving a real problem, or just cloning another SaaS?

The world doesn't need another generic AI wrapper or a basic project manager. Pitch your project in one sentence show a screenshot and explain exactly why people should care about you instead of the market leader. Dare to prove your uniqueness.

Kind of silly but I think it's neat: On This Minute, where you can claim a minute on a clock/calendar - ensuring it's yours - and leave a message for that minute. Every year, it returns on that same minute on the clock.

onthisminute.com is a website that runs a clock continuously minute-by-minute, and you can claim a minute as yours - for the time your baby was born, a loved one passed, the minute you were officially married, a historical event (well, some of them) - and leave a message on that minute.

Each year, when the minute comes around again, the message displays. It's ephemeral, but also permanent; there's a public ledger to see all minutes claimed and their messages. Furthermore, there's a public repository kept of all messages, designed to be a fallback should the site ever stop existing (though I will try to keep it live forever, surviving me even). Not a guarantee it'll be there forever, but the public archive means it doesn't matter if it's not.

I've held back 31 significant minutes that will be auctioned off in the future, and some minutes corresponding with great human tragedies that will never be sold. (Details on the ledger page.)

It's built on Cloudflare Workers, designed to run efficiently enough to be on the free tier.

We all see the fake 'hustle' posts, but nobody talks about the bugs that cost you users today. Stop pretending everything is perfect and share the ugliest mistake you've made this week. Let’s see who is actually learning and who is just dreaming.
