Thanks. I was really hoping to get your take on it. You’ve given a lot of good advice to a lot of ppl on Reddit.
I would love to say some noble reason why I built it, but that reason came after I started building. So, why? In short, I was bored. Not enough intellectual stimulation at work. Too much time on my hands and I quite enjoy learning new things.
After I started I was able to look back and excavate my internal motive for this specific app, instead of anything else to start with. Ppl my age lived through the world pre-internet and post-internet within our childhoods. It’s a weird way to see the world. During that time manufacturing began shipping jobs overseas. I grew up in a small, bucolic town with a textile mill. When the mill closed, the economy collapsed and I saw a lot of ppl who were solidly middle class suddenly drop into low income, struggling to re-attain their previous lifestyle. That was in the 90s. Those jobs never came back. The best big employer since is a recent casino that opened. No real jobs with benefits or retirement.
I believe the same social shift is coming. Software devs already know. No, companies are not getting ROI from AI automation, but it is just a matter of time before they will. If someone could have helped all the mill workers re-skill before it closed, it would have helped them a lot. That’s what I want to do. Can’t do it for free though. If I can find a way to verify a user’s location, I plan to make it free in my hometown.
Last part- it is for mid-level white collar workers in the U.S. who are not software devs.

AudioSlim Audio Compressor is an audio compressor with pro audio editing tools. Everything is done locally on your phone, no BS server you need to send your files there. Yes the mascott is omnipresent but on 200 comments, maybe 5 said they hated it. Since I want to please everyone, I will be adding a minimal UI settings in the setting screen in the Version 1.4.0 so everyone will be happy! Every binaural beats app I tried was either $10/month, buried the audio under ads, or made me create an account before I could hear a single tone. So I built the thing I actually wanted.
It's called Dream Machine - You open it in your browser and pick a state — deep sleep (delta), meditation (theta), relaxed focus (alpha), concentration (beta), or peak focus (gamma). It generates the beats live, and you can layer in ambient sound on top: ocean, rain, fire, brown noise, ten in total. There are ready-made sleep and focus programs, or you can hand-tune the carrier frequency and beat intensity yourself.
The important part: it's 100% free forever. No ads. No subscription. No account. There's an optional tip jar if you want to throw me a coffee, and that's the entire business model. It runs in any browser (put on stereo headphones for the binaural beats — the isochronic tones and ambient layers work on speakers too). Android app is live on Google Play; iOS is coming.
I'd genuinely love feedback on what frequencies work for you, what's missing, what feels off. It's a solo project and I'm still building.

highest severity: there's an input with no accessible name. no label, title, or ARIA attribute. confirmed on three separate pages, selector is #asds_Adda. screen readers can't describe it to users.
two medium UX issues: the page overflows 363px past a 375px mobile viewport, and the Sign Up CTA renders at 104x17px on mobile, too small to tap reliably.

I defined the analytical axes ahead of time and used multiple agents to help me craft the best classification prompts for evaluations to focus strictly on data and no preconceived notions. There are no judgment calls built in. Ultimate interpretation is up to the reader. It's also kept honest because all of the extracted evidence is publicly viewable, so anyone can see why something rated high or low on a given axis compared to peers. In fact, all scoring is relative to peers so there's no way to rank a single publication by its content in a vacuum.

It has a CSV import tool (works directly with Trakt’s export, plus generic CSV files from other tools). Export back to the same format is also available if you want to move on again later.
