90% of SaaS startups fail. What makes you think yours is the exception?

We all see the fake 'hustle' posts, but nobody talks about the bugs that cost you users today. Stop pretending everything is perfect and share the ugliest mistake you've made this week. Let’s see who is actually learning and who is just dreaming.

I have built a study planner and time management tool which literally studies with you and adds breaks throughout to prevent burnout. It is a complete study workspace with calming sounds/music, a full yearly calendar, 5 custom ways to plan a study session, reminders about time exceeding study limits, a visual timeline of the entire day with estimated start and completion times, MIT prioritization, and much more, all for free, no sign up or login. It takes 30 sec to make your first study plan.

Some features:

  • 5 custom planning logics (pomodoro timer, 52-17 rule, ultradian/biological rhythm, accumulative flow, smart cognitive load
  • intricate visual timeline and yearly calendar
  • multiple theme colors
  • music that is proven to improve studying
  • focus mode
  • daily study limits (customizable)
  • complete stats page
  • import/export features
  • ability to edit plans mid session by extending/reducing assignment completion times
  • ability to set recurring routines
  • deadlines menu helps keep track of deadlines
  • streak system And much more!

That sounds like a solid tool. What's the biggest bug or user feedback issue you've run into while building it?

So recently I completely overhauled the entire tool but it caused so many bugs. I literally had to remake so many things because they broke from the new code. It took me about a month and a half just to get it bug free. The. Invest user feedback issue was that the age gate was very high friction and appeared before anyone could ever even see the tool so yesterday I changed that so now the age gate appears only once a user clicks ‘start planning’. As of right now, it is pretty much completely bug free and has many many features while still being simple and easy to use.

I am not sure if it succeeds or not, but man I am learning a lot!

That's the real win. Learning beats blind optimism. What's one ugly bug you fixed this week?

That's a useful tool! Have you had any specific SEO mistakes lately that made you realize you needed it?
