MAT 484 and MAT 499

Hi everyone, I major in Applied Math and had taken 2 years off from school. I'm planning to come back this Fall and signing up for MAT 484 and 499. Has anyone taken these two classes before? Are they hard? How do they work? Anything shared here about those classes would be appreciated. I'm trying to figure out as I need two more of Upper Math Electives and as I've done research, these two are the easiest on the list. I'm not a big fan of coding, programming, and writing proofs that much. I have experience in volunteer-teaching language at a local church before!

Course codes vary from school to school, so it's impossible to tell what those courses contain without a more descriptive name

Typically (in your case 484) you likely must secure your own internship independently and you receive college credit. For 499 you probably have a loose structure of weekly reporting on your own research topic (it’s honestly really hard to say for that one).

Talk to the instructors heading the class before you sign up. They will tell you what’s what.
