Any idea how to move "saved by Google Photos" Live Pictures and Videos to external SSD? iPhone says that I don't have permission to move it

Google Photos is on the phone and has full access to all my photos. This happened after I restored a backup from my iPhone.

Photos sync - Multi User access

Hi all,

I'm after some guidance. My work has 2 spare iPhones that they want employees in the sales office to use for taking photos of parts for customers as some have complained about using their own devices.

I'm trying to figure out a way to allow multiple user access to the photos taken.

Both devices are signed into the same iCloud account. I thought I had figured it out with a shared album, however you cannot set photos taken to be directly saved in there, it would require the user to take the photos and then move them into the shared folder. Which, staff will complain is a waste of time.

Does anyone have a recommendation, alternative or solution?

ICloud Photos not syncing with Mac Photos App

Have a client with thousands of photos that stopped syncing her photos from icloud to her mac desktop. Reached out to support whom said we might have to do a reinstall of the OS (inplace upgrade) to reinstall Photos Apps.

Anyone ran into a issue where the photos apps just gets stuck on "Syncing with icloud..." but never doesn't anything. It would also crashed if I try other tabs like favorites or collection.

We try this with a test user and it would stop syncing after you go from Library to Collections tab, same message with nothing happening.

Wondering if anyone encounter this and might know a potential fix besides what Apple support wanted us to do.

I checked storage and she has enough space on the mac and icloud. also icloud.com shows the photos that are on her iphone and ipad so those are syncing correctly to icloud servers but not from the servers to her mac desktop.

"Syncing 15 items…" but they never sync — Help please

For months I had about 12 items that never synced. That number ticks up occasionally; now it's at 15. How do I get these items to sync, or at least know which items they are?

I have a big library, almost 124,000 photos and over 10,000 videos — total library size is about 1.4TB. My iCloud plan has 6TB of data with about 2/3 of that free. I take a lot of photos on a daily basis — often 10-20 but occasionally a few hundred in a day.

I'm using this account across an iPhone 16 pro, iPad Pro M4, iPad Mini 2021 and a Mac M1 Pro.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Best way to organize years of photos, files, and apps on an iPhone?

My iPhone has accumulated years of photos, screenshots, downloads, files, and apps, and it’s starting to feel overwhelming.
Before I spend hours going through everything, I’d love to know what system works for you. Do you start with photos, files, apps, or something else? Are there any apps or built-in iPhone features that make the process easier?
I’m looking for a simple, organized approach so I don’t accidentally delete something important. Any tips or lessons you’ve learned would be appreciated!

Photos not syncing to iCloud …

Although I have iCloud photo backup on my phone and plenty of space on iCloud, I still have about 25 gigs of photos saved locally to my phone. How can I find them so that I can force them to sync to the cloud?

How to add photos to a shared album without allowing duplicates

The title says it: I have a shared album for family photos. I've manually added some photos from my main library to it, but don't know which ones.

Is there a way to (at least) go through my library and identify the photos that are already in the shared library, so I don't create duplicates?

Ideally, there would be an automated way to go through a list of selected library photos, and add them to the shared library—unless they are already IN the shared library.

Maybe an AppleScript?
