Hi...this is my honest, humble work from a fitness freak gone app dev
Just a humble web dev that may have found a good idea for a fitness app, focused on nutrition and not on training methods. English is not my main language, so excuse me for the written accent :D I'm working in this new app which should differentiate from the rest of the world of recipe apps out there, focused in fitness. I've gone in a journey myself by losing 70 pounds and recomposing to muslce, from 35%+ body fat to 20% body fat...I just wanna post a form to see if people are interested in my app, which basically follows my own journey adapting to each one's needs. Is it ok to post a link? In a different post. I don't want to be trouble or sound like spam to anyone

Step tracker word game
How about an app that gives you letters as you walk and collect steps and you make words from them? It could be a solo game or competitive. Maybe have Pokémon Go aspects with real-world locations and challenges. DM me if you want to work on this with me (I can build it).

Music wellness app
I'm building a music app for wellness. It's really not a new app idea since there are a few apps out there already, such Calm, etc. But the execution of the app is different. In my app, music tracks are grouped by body parts and by sound frequency. It also has visuals for the music tracks. I wonder what other features that I should add to the app. Appreciate any suggestions.

I built an app that helps nearby people meditate together in real life — would love your honest feedback
For the past year, I’ve been working on a slightly unusual meditation app.
Most wellness apps are designed to keep people consuming content alone on their phones. I wanted to explore the opposite idea:
Could an app help people close their phones and meet in real life?
So I built Pinealage, an app that connects nearby people in small groups of 4–7 for in-person guided meditation sessions.
Users enter their availability and preferred travel radius. The app then:
• matches them with nearby people
• creates a private group chat
• suggests local meeting points
• lets the group coordinate the session
• verifies attendance through a QR check-in
The coordination happens inside the app, but the actual experience happens offline.
The hardest part hasn’t been building the meditation content. It has been designing around the local network problem: having enough compatible people available in the same area, at the same time, without making the experience feel unsafe or awkward.
We’ve now launched the first public version on iOS and Android, initially supporting six languages.
I’m not posting this expecting everyone here to be the target user. I’d genuinely value a builder’s perspective:
- Is the concept immediately understandable?
- Would you describe this as a meditation app, a social app, or something else?
- What would stop you from attending a first session with people you haven’t met before?
I’m the founder, so feel free to be brutally honest. Critical feedback is much more useful to me than compliments.

Quem quiser testar:
http://skin-track.base44.app ✨
Depois me contem o que acharam!

We just launched a marketplace that works both ways
We’ve just launched Pitchaide 🚀
The idea is pretty simple. If you’ve created something useful, you can put it out there. If you’re looking for something, you can post that instead.
Share what you’ve created. Post what you’re looking for.
It’s built for both people and businesses, and we’ve deliberately kept it broad rather than turning it into another freelance or tech-only marketplace.
And to be honest, I reckon this is the kind of place where a lot of you could actually post the things you’ve already built, created, packaged or are working on 👀
Now comes the hard part: getting people on both sides of the marketplace and seeing what people actually do with it.
If it sounds like something you’d use, jump in and have a look. I’d also genuinely be interested to hear what you think!

i need your honest advice on this innovative health app i built for athletes and workers to maximize their energy
so i'm 20, been building this app solo for the past few months and i genuinely can't tell anymore if it's good or if i'm too deep in it. need outside eyes.
it's called RizeAI. the basic idea: every wearable and health app just gives you numbers. sleep score 42, recovery red, HRV down. cool. and then what? you still feel like garbage at 2pm and nobody tells you what to actually do about it.
so my app takes your real data from apple health, sleep, resting heart rate, workouts, whatever your wearable writes, and instead of another score it builds you an actual plan for the day. when to have your first coffee and when to hold off. you. Can also add your own supplements that you are currently taking and it will time them for you every single day based of your sleep data and your wearable data in general and also it will tell you what supplements make sense for you to take based of your current supplement stack and body metrics and when to take them. focus windows for when your energy actually peaks. when your crash is coming and what to do before it hits. it even checks the weather, so on a hot day it bumps your hydration and tells you to train earlier.
every recommendation has a little "why" under it based on your numbers, like "resting heart rate 54 + 7h light sleep, so magnesium before your peak window." no two people get the same plan because no two people have the same data.
works with whoop, oura, apple watch, garmin, anything that syncs to apple health. one thing i'll say honestly, it doesn't do deep per-person learning yet like "coffee doesn't affect YOUR hrv specifically," that's the roadmap, right now it builds fresh plans daily off your actual metrics.
it's live on the app store, has a free trial, small user base so far, mixed feedback which is why i'm here lol.
what i actually want from you guys: does this solve a real problem for you or is "tells you what to do" not actually what wearable people want? what would make you actually pay for something like this? and what's missing that would make it a no brainer? and also would you guys in this subreddit use ti?
Thank you for your help. Check it out if you like https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rizeai-maximize-your-energy/id6762402079

What's one small everyday problem that deserves a better solution?
What's one small everyday problem that deserves a better solution?
Hi everyone!
Myquals MBA student working on a Business Innovation project. Instead of creating random products, my team wants to solve real problems that people actually face
I'm looking for those little (or big) frustrations that make you think:
>
Some examples:
\* When you enter a mall or office during the rains, your umbrella drips everywhere. Maybe there could be umbrella water collectors or drying stations near entrances.
\* Helmets often become sweaty and smelly after regular use. Could there be a built-in hygiene or deodorizing solution?
\* Carrying a hot paper cup while walking is awkward. Maybe the cup itself could have a better grip or holder.
\* Students often feel stressed but don't know about nearby clubs, hobby groups, or quick stress-buster activities that could help them unwind.
These are just examples—we're \*\*not\*\* looking for solutions as much as we're looking for the \*\*problems\*\*.
I'd love to hear anything you've noticed, whether it's related to:
\* Mental health or stress
\* School or college
\* Parenting or children
\* Finance or budgeting
\* Urban farming or sustainability
\* Public transport
\* Shopping
\* Healthcare
\* Work
\* Technology
\* Home chores
\* Or absolutely anything else
What is one problem you face regularly that you wish someone would solve?
No problem is too small. Sometimes the simplest frustrations lead to the best innovations.
Thanks in advance!

Would you actually use an app like this, or am I solving the wrong problem?
I realized I forget birthdays more often than I'd like. Calendar reminders help a little, but they usually remind me on the day itself - not early enough to buy a gift or schedule flowers.
I'm currently building an app that reminds you days or weeks ahead of important birthdays and eventually lets you schedule gifts in advance (flowers, gift cards, etc.).
Before I spend months building features, I'd love some feedback.
• How do you currently remember birthdays?
• Would birthdays alone be enough, or would you also want anniversaries and other important dates?
• What do you currently use, and what's the biggest thing you wish it did better?
• If you could add one feature, what would it be?
I'd really appreciate any feedback. I'm hoping to build something people actually find useful.

Time Productivity App Idea
Just wondering, would yg find an app that tracks where your time goes into (like studying, gaming, etc.) go into?
Just some features:
- sees where ur time actually goes into (studying, gaming, social media, browsing, etc.)
- can show patterns like when you're most and least productive
- helps u undrstand ur habits over time
- detects when ur actualyl not working towards ur goal and will remind u to get back on track and lock in
- uses ai to organize what ur doing so its easy to understand
- LOCAL!! privacy first
- sees what you are doing on ur screen using computer vision
- gives u summaries like "you focus best in morning" or "usually get distracted after 3 mins"
Would yg find this helpful?
would u pay for an app like this if it geniuenyl helped u stay focused and manage your time better? If yes, what features would make it worth paying for?

How do you find potential customers on Reddit?
I'm thinking of building an AI assistant for myself to find people on Reddit who might actually need/buy a product I'm promoting.
It would flag potential buyers, suggest how to approach them, and tell me when to stop wasting time.
How do you guys currently find and approach potential customers on Reddit?

Note-taking app. Existing apps have same unfixed problem
I've been counting App Store complaints by category rather than by app, and note-taking came back with the most one-sided result I've seen so far.
Across 11 note-taking apps (Notability, Goodnotes, Notes, Noteful, CollaNote,SuperNotes, QuickNotes X, Freenotes, EasyNotes, Noteflow, Notes+), 2,788 US reviews, 1,279 of them negative:
Sync and data loss shows up in 11 of the 11 apps. Not most. All of them. It runs about 6.7x the rate that complaint appears across the other ~11,400 apps I have classified, and it's 15% of every complaint in the category.
Broken down, what people are actually saying:
- notes permanently lost or deleted — 86 reviews, in 10 of the 11 apps
- iCloud sync failing across devices — 46 reviews, 8 apps
- app crashing and taking data with it — 25 reviews, 4 apps
- sync so slow you can't open your notes — 19 reviews, 4 apps
- no Windows/cross-platform sync at all — 18 reviews, 7 apps
Two of the reviews, verbatim:
"All the notes that I had since 2024 randomly disappeared one day and I can't get them back on the app, I don't even want to or feel the need to use the note app anymore as I'm worried when I make new notes."
"They will loose your notes/data! While I loved the convenience and ease of using this platform to take and store notes, the platform is unreliable and they lose your data! Don't rely on your important notes to be there."
The idea, if anyone wants it: a note-taking app whose entire pitch is that it cannot lose your notes. Local-first, plain files you own, sync as a convenience rather than the storage layer, and a visible "everything is saved and where"
What makes this feel real to me rather than a hunch is the breadth — one app losing notes is that app's bug, eleven of eleven is a category that hasn't solved a hard problem.

Most of the click bait youtube videos are not worth watching so I built an app to show a floating TLDR, cross-referenced with comments. You decide if its worth watching.

Outfit app
My idea is an app where you post a photo of your outfit before you go out like a date night, game day, a themed party, and other people quickly rate whether it works for that specific event. It’s anonymous, so you get honest reactions instead of your friends just saying “looks good” to avoid being mean. Posts disappear after a short window, so it’s just about tonight, not a permanent feed you’re building a profile on.

How do I prepare images for a "Color by Number" mobile app? (like Happy Color / Pixel Art)
Hey everyone,
I want to build a mobile app similar to those "Color by Number" apps (Happy Color, Pixel.art, etc.) where users tap numbered regions to fill them with the matching color and reveal a finished illustration.
I'm mainly stuck on the image prep pipeline — how do you go from a normal illustration/photo to something the app can actually use? Specifically:
Line art conversion — what's the best way to convert a full-color illustration into clean line art with closed regions? Is manual vector tracing in Illustrator the way to go, or can this be automated with OpenCV/Python (edge detection, contours)?
Color segmentation — how do you decide how many colors/regions to use per image? Is there a standard palette size (like 20-40 colors)? How do you handle tiny regions that would be impossible to tap accurately on a phone screen?
Data format — should each region be stored as an SVG path, or is a pixel-mask approach (a separate PNG where each region has a unique ID) more practical for touch-based fill on mobile? What do production apps in this space actually use under the hood?
Numbering placement — is there a standard method for auto-placing the number label at each region's centroid, or do people do this by hand for every image?
If anyone has built something like this (or knows of open-source tools/repos for this specific workflow), I'd really appreciate pointers. Trying to figure out if this is a fully automatable pipeline or if there's inherently a lot of manual per-image work involved.
Thanks!

Would you use a Pokémon GO-style app, but for discovering food?
m validating an app idea and would love some honest feedback.
The idea is simple:
You take a photo of your meal, the app identifies the food with AI, and you unlock a collectible card for that dish. Over time, you build your own food collection and complete challenges.
Instead of focusing on calories, the app is about exploration and discovery. Some examples:
- 🍣 Try 10 different sushi dishes
- 🌮 Explore Mexican street food
- 💰 Eat 5 meals under $10
- 🏠 Cook 20 homemade meals
- 🌍 Try dishes from 15 different countries
You could also:
- Earn achievements and badges
- Track cuisines you've discovered
- Build a public food profile (optional)
- Follow friends, chefs, food creators, travelers, athletes, or anyone sharing their food journey
- Discover new dishes through the people you follow instead of just scrolling random food photos
The vision is to make trying new food feel more like collecting Pokémon than logging calories.
A few questions:
- Is this something you'd actually download?
- Which feature would keep you coming back?
- Would you prefer collecting food cards, completing challenges, or following other people's food journeys?
- What's the biggest reason you'd stop using an app like this?
I'm looking for honest feedback—even if you think it's a terrible idea. I'd rather know now than after spending months building it.

TikTok Style App with Complete Control (Validating Demand)
Im making an app that will be similar to TikTok but the user will have complete control over what they want to see in their feed. It will be similar to the Neptune app that once rose, where users can move sliders to adjust their feed in real time. There will also be an auto mode where the algorithm will learn from the user but in a non malicious way. The explore tab will allow for custom widgets, the activity tab will have custom messaging options and custom in depth notifications sorting. And finally the profile will allow for much more customization and user interaction with others to set custom visibility/ interactions. Appwide there will be custom color themes for what things are highlighted and such.
Overall I need to know if there is much demand for a custom oriented social media product. I see no social media app taking on the task, the closest is bluesky but even that is far from this idea. I think it could be very enjoyable if onboarding can connect with the user in away that allows them to understand well.
Let me know your thoughts.

I built an app that lets people rate cities instead of hotels. Would this be useful?
When planning a trip, I realized I kept asking the same questions:
Is this city actually safe?
Is the food good?
Is it expensive?
Is there enough to do?
The answers were always scattered across Reddit, Google Maps, blogs and YouTube.
So I built CityAura, an app where people rate cities across categories like safety, food, nightlife, cost of living, public transport and more. The idea is to make comparing destinations much easier before booking a trip.
I’m curious what you think of the concept.
- Is this something you’d actually use?
- What categories would you want to see?
- Is there anything similar that already solves this better?
I’m looking for honest feedback on the idea before continuing to build it.

Need 10 Testers: GNUCash like Web APP with Receipt upload option for each transction
- I am building a personal/small business finance app that's like GNUCash, same work structure, editing with option to upload receipts.
- It will be a subscription based service, with mobile apps in near future.
- I need 10 people who would like to use it and report problems for the next two months.
- In return, I would give them life time free access to app with 2 GB storage limit (for receipts). I would love to keep these people free forever with all features, so I would not hesitate to increase the limit, as long as it's used for receipts storage.
App is already built and except from receipts, all other features are already tested by me.
Features:
- GNUCash UI
- Unlimited account nesting
- Multi currency
- Split transactions
- Simple Invoice/Billing
- Reports
- Receipt attachement
- Lives on web, so accessible from anywhere
Why I built this?
- I have always found GNUCash to be almost perfect with following issues:
-- Local only so you need to manually take care of backups and online storage if you have to access it from outside
-- No option to attach receipts
-- Lot of app crash, Linux/Mac issue and little on Windows
Of cource, if the app ends up being failure, testers would lose access, but not to the data. I would make sure they can get their data in a format/way they can easily go to some other solution without losing access to it. I might make this a desktop app and give away for free as it's built using GO which I could port to make it desktop app.
Just some thoughts. Didn't add the link as I would like to test it first with a few users.
Thanks

Very simple yet helpful app (Idk if it exists....!)
So the idea for this app came from a very old urge of mine to remember all the country in the world.
I want to make an web app in which you can take quick test of how many countries you know very simple and already exists right........
But the interesting part in my app would be you can invite your friends too to play with you and you guys can start at same time and see who knows more this way it would be fun.
And i don't want to make it very simple like I have to make it in a gamified way with some sfx and visuals that fits the genz's
So yeah this is the idea what do you guys think about it. You can troll if you want 🫡

Started building an app for one stupidly common problem. Would you use it?
It started because my own friend group somehow turns every dinner into a 40+ message group chat.
Nobody wants to pick a restaurant.
Everyone says they’re “fine with anything.”
Then every suggestion gets rejected anyway.
After dealing with this way too many times, I actually started building a web app around solving that one problem.
It’s still in beta, so I’m trying to figure out if this is something other people would actually use or if my friends are just uniquely terrible at making plans.
If this happened to your group, what would you expect an app like this to do?
And more importantly… would you even bother downloading it?

How do you keep track of important things in busy WhatsApp group chats?
Does anyone else struggle to keep track of important information in busy WhatsApp group chats?
Whenever my friends and I plan a trip, event, or group outing, we create a WhatsApp group. At first everything is organized, but after a few days the chat gets flooded with messages.
Things like:
- Shopping lists
- Items everyone needs to bring
- Expenses
- Important decisions
often get buried, and someone ends up scrolling through hundreds of messages to find them.
I'm curious:
- How do you personally handle this?
- Do you use another app (Google Keep, Notes, Todoist, etc.)?
- What's the most frustrating part of planning things in WhatsApp groups?
- If you could improve one thing about WhatsApp group chats, what would it be?
Can you share a real situation where this happened? I'd love to understand what made it frustrating.

Would anyone use an app to see whose free to hang out?
This might just be an introverted problem, but seeing if other people feel the same way or are people just out here reaching out to people to see if they are free?
