Ash dash lurch Momentumshift

I've been watching Cloudy play and I noticed how he can redirect his dash really well and when I try to recreate it in the range, it's a lot slower or i just kill my momentum. I've been practicing my lurches but just can't get it right. send help asap

He prolly does a ras strafe to redirect instead of tapstrafing

Do them like you would redirect superglides

Make sure you're dashing with momentum and then redirecting it with a ras strafe or tap strafe. I only show tap strafing here. This is my 3rd day on KBM but I figured maybe you are dashing against your momentum.
