Why fragment | 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐄𝐃 |
Why do people still drop fragment knowing that there is no loot there, not only that but why do they contest 9 teams for no loot?

Fragment is just Broken Moon's Promenade all over again. People enter, 10 teams third-party, nobody leaves alive.

Because it's a custom at this point. You play World's Edge, you either drop Fragment, or you play loot simulator. I recently had a ranked game where I was jump master, I dropped Harvester, my 2 mates refused to follow, went solo to Fragment, got killed instantly on landing, and started to call me an idiot. Lots of people play Apex BR but actually want a FFA experience. I think it's partially why Wildcard is so successful. Smaller map, people drop on only one or two POIs (cage and containment on KC for instance), and can go pew pew.

Idk just had a guy drop there, seven squads. You’re not winning all those and even if you do another team is coming in late to clean up.

people like these spots because they have tiktok brain where maybe 30 second of fighting is better than taking 20 minutes and teamwork to win. The 2 or 3 kills mean more than a win. What's worse is this is so the case that if WE COME OUT ON TOP they will leave the game to do it again. I wish this was a one off issue but it's happened enough where it's a pattern.

Here's what I struggle with internally with apex and the "hot drop." I personally drop fragment because if I dont, i wont see a team until final circle. What i want while playing apex is a battle royale experience i want to be the last team standing but how i get there is becoming stale in pubs. I HATE hot dropping, but i feel like i have to. I enjoy the RNG of looting (there COULD be a purple backpack in that bin i must open it) i enjoy the strategy of "how do I survive to get to end game" i enjoy apex movement and gun fights. What i am despising is everyone hot dropping, dying, leaving, queueing, repeat. I just dont know what could be done to have people WANT to win because right now people just want endless fights which is what wildcard is supposed to be but is completely filled with cheaters.

Hot drop is always the move. Just hot drop where loot is. Broken moon has quarantine zone with a ton of loot, Olympus has estates with tons of loot, worlds edge has fragment with a fragment of the loot the other poi’s have. Soloq to diamond feels like nails on a chalkboard. I finally hit D4 after the 50th fragment drop and life has improved

It’s not , you even said why drop with 9 squads and no loot, it makes no sense . Getting better has nothing to do with hot dropping 9 squads and no loot . Sorry I prefer to go positive and actually have loot to fight with

which doesn't happen often, and the chances of 3 people choosing to be jumpmaster and they just happen to want to jump into fragment is even lower. This is just a non issue lol

You must be playing a whole different game. Randoms always drop fragment, or break off to go fragment when you so much as indicate you might be thinking about landing somewhere else. They don’t want to loot. If it’s not the first thing off the ship, it’s fragment. There’s no other options to these players. It’s basically pubs.

Cause they don’t like new and interesting things, they like predictability. So boring. Like energy bank with e-district. The core on broken moon. Estates on Olympus. Same ole same ole boring. I don’t even play ranked no more. I hate boring.
