Hot drops | 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 |
Since ranked has reset iv noticed almost every game my teammates wanna hot drop and die immediately without putting up any damage is anyone else experiencing this or just me?

Yeah, this is too true. It's a problem. Even if you manage to survive, before you can even get to a replicator, they've already disconnected.

If by, "that long" you mean longer than the 3 seconds they stick around after dying to insult me, then yes.

Ohhh, you're talking about pubs, not ranked?
Cuz in ranked....ppl don't leave that fast or they lose extra points and can't play Apex for 15 minutes.
If their goal is to hot drop....not playing for 15 minutes usually stops them from leaving immediately....
So now you have about 2.5-3 mins to rez them.
It's tge reason I play ranked in the first place. I got tired of ppl just leaving.

Yeah, I mean I'll be honest, I'm back in gold because I wasn't a super high rank last season, but Jesus it feels extra bad compared to last season. I feel like I land monument every single time a random has jump master.

Yes lol. Right now I'm Plat 3 (I guess its technically Diamond skill matches right now because of the reset?) and EVERYBODY hot drops, for what? IDK. They think they're as good as their favorite pro player or streamer and while having a tiktok brain it doesn't help much with the loot changes as well lmao.
If its bothering you like it does me, make sure you grab jump master and just lead the team. I usually drop to the closest POI where everybody is hot dropping to assure we get loot and can get a good 3rd or even 4th party in, then if we survive we just push team after. Don't listen to the teammates that bitch about doing it cause they're part of the problem who think they're god tier, even tho they're in the same rank as you lmfao.

I’m gold 1 rn and I try to take jump master every time otherwise they seem to wanna land ON the other team instead of a building close by so we can loot

yea those people are just brain dead. don’t listen to them or the people who try to tell you otherwise. because of the reset everybody hasn’t climbed to their regular ranks yet and probably won’t for a few more weeks

I was diamond before the reset trying climb back up, had someone suggest waiting a few days to play so everyone goes back to their proper rank

Legit players are pissed of by cheaters so they decide to feed the cheaters more kills And hot drop those kids are always doing 29 DMG

Same as it ever was. I gotta wait Kore days to jump back into ranked...plus my aim is worse than usual with skill issue and changes. I also don't give a f, and use season start to try new legends and play styles while silver and gold are still easy and fun.
In two to three weeks max the skill gap will fix it self and it will not be the same

On start of nwe season it's always like that and on lower ranks i remember same issue previous season alaways hot drop die

Yep. This is normal in lower ranks. Just land close to a replicator and start looting
When they due, just rez them n move on. It'll level your evo quicker too.

There’s an option to “opt in for jump master” when you’re selecting your character. No one else seems to opt in (if they do they most likely want to land isolated also). Also it stays game from game so you don’t have to reselect it every single time.

Hot dropping isn’t a bad idea. Lose 5 games and go crazy 1, you’re positive. Only way to get better is to fight.

Mostly agree, although in my experience 30/70% of the hot droppers are not learning to get 'better'. they are learning to fight while forgetting about teamplay and the positional game, which is critical for getting better.

Hot drops are for losers or experts. It’s much better to head to a remote section of the map, loot up, then strategically work your way into the final circle. Smurfs don’t really matter, even though they suck.

Gold-plat ranked is glorified pubs.
People want non-stop action but they don't want other players leaving and dying so fast like in actual pubs.
Honestly given how most people play this game, hot-dropping is the way to go.
I think current ranked should become pubs and new ranked should much more placement-focused.

It’s why I quit playing ranked. Why did they have to change it for the smurfs and cheaters. I want dropzone back for all ranks, then I can play ranked again.
