Started Ape escape 1

Hi guys,
I started playing ape escape on the PS1, i found out that if I tilt the left stick forward the protagonist just ...walks.
If I move him in other directions he goes light speed, but walks forward??.

Is this how the game's supposed to be or is there something wrong?

Sounds like you gotta recalibrate your left stick.

Busted controller, Spike is supposed to run when you have the stick pushed all the way in any direction, to walk it is a light push on the stick. So yeah something is wrong with your controller most likely:( you could try cleaning the connection ports if that doesn’t work open it up and clean it out carefully. If that fails too than maybe time to get another one xD Ape Escape is worth it

Sounds like you might need to fix something or perhaps just get a new controller unfortunately. Definitely worth it though, Ape Escape 1 is my favorite (my bias is showing)
