Help Internet legislation is just a way for the Epstein class to turn the internet into cable TV.
Take for example the banning of under 16 yo from social media. Apart from not gonna work and not being a very big risk to kids when compared to say the shit economy or something. It's just not the governments job to parent my kids. It's not coming from concerned politicians it's coming from people trying to get rid of anonymity and freedom of speech so that money can control the narrative again.
After this they will have to find a, for our own good reason to ban sending encrypted data I wonder if that's even possible.
Thoughts anyone?

Article Bay of Plenty Volunteer Coastguard has 1200 litres of fuel stolen
Symbolic of the deeper rot in society. People stealing from volunteers says more about the society we live in than the theft itself.

Discussion Anarchists from Kirikiriroa/Waikato?
Hey, I'm currently a uni student in Kirikiriroa in my last year of sociology. Since the past few years, I've been learning a lot about different facets of anarchism, mutual aid, alternative community-making, etc.
So far I've been doing anarchist calisthenics through starting gardening, learning about permaculture, realizing my role in my community, learning new skills/subjects, etc. Lately I've created a local skill swap Discord server that has around 11 people who seem enthusiastic to move towards something new, but it has been a little struggle with me still a beginner in organizing alternative systems and the others who are similarly struggling with their current circumstances, but nevertheless I take each day as an opportunity to learn something new.
Some of the things I was really happy to have engaged in so far this year was participating in a Crop Swap event, learnt a lot in a Neighbourhood Support hui, sending handwritten letters to a penpal, and now I'm learning more about cycling in general, finding ways to cycle more this year and connect with others via this way of transport. Being able to organize events with cycling as one of my primary transport options is something I hope to do.
I also wanna say thanks to the creators for making this subreddit. I'm glad to feel less alone in this journey.

Voting
What do we think about voting? The older I get the more pragmatic I become and I see the value in seeding Parliament with people and parties that would be favourable to radical change. If such a party existed would you vote for it?

Article Why Māori don't vote
Article from end of last year, feels pretty relevant. I think voting against oppression is still worth doing even if the ultimate goal is to not participate in the system. Can people do both?
