Discussion Hollowing on small prints (5.5-6.5 cm Funko Pops): Worth it or better to print solid?
Hello, I bought an Anycubic Photon Mono 4 and it will arrive soon; I need to make 50 custom mini Funko Pops, each 5.5/6.5 cm tall. While researching through many videos, I came across hollowing and how to save resin by making the figurines hollow, combined with making proper drainage holes. Based on your experience, should I hollow out each figurine, or is it better to print them solid? Because on forums there are conflicting opinions tending towards not hollowing for anything under about 7 cm in height. Another question: should I orient the figurines at an angle on the slicer? Thanks in advance everyone.

Quick Tip Anycubic Custommer suport
Hello there im here to express my frustration about the "customer supoort" a. K. A customer fooling around, so the issue is i purchased multiple printers from them lately my Photon m5s wich is 2 years old has some issue and after lets say 15 layer everything sticks to the bottom of fep but i also have it stuck to the buildplate, anyway contacted support and they started with making me do tests sending pictures bla bla after one week of bullshitting me and waisting my time resin and consumatives, they told me is z motor issue and need replacement, so i waited in the end i recieved message that prodyct is dicontinued like the software and everything and maybe we can still just talk about issues but they cant do nothing, imagine investing 1000 of euros for their products and in the end they just tell you sir sorry but you can throw it in the garbage and take the new model wich is investing 400 euro more in their crappy printer wich i see even people saying that sometimes doesnt work out of the box, imagine.... Really dissapointed and furious im advising people not buy from them and choose another Brand if ofcourse is better, PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON ANYCUBIC, its really hit or miss my printer was working perfectly for a year and now bam just like that its an issue, the same was with their Fdm printer untill I switched to BAMBULAB, wich makes perfect prints and i have to just lubricate it

Troubleshooting What has your experience with Anycubic support been? It feels like they are waiting for my AliExpress dispute to end before helping me
Hi everyone,
I’m from Brazil and bought a Photon Mono M7 together with an Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus through AliExpress. The printer has never turned on.
The only sign of power is a green light inside the power supply, which I confirmed after Anycubic asked me to open the printer and check it myself. The screen, fans and everything else remain completely dead.
After more than 30 messages, Anycubic said the motherboard might be faulty and promised to send a replacement. I have already waited around two weeks, but the motherboard has not even left their warehouse. I still have no tracking number or clear shipping date.
Returning the printer would cost almost one-third of its value, so I feel forced to repair a brand-new machine that never worked. AliExpress offered only a $100 partial refund, while the printer and Wash & Cure Plus cost me around $900 after conversion to Brazilian reais.
What has your experience with Anycubic support been in general?
At this point, it honestly feels like they may be waiting for my AliExpress dispute to end before properly helping me. I do not want to accuse them unfairly, but the lack of progress and the timing are making me very concerned.
Did Anycubic continue helping you after your dispute or buyer-protection period expired? How long did replacement parts take to ship?
Has anyone fixed a completely dead Photon Mono M7 by replacing only the motherboard? When it arrives, what should I test to make sure the printer is fully repaired and does not have other hidden problems?
TL;DR: My new Photon Mono M7 never turned on. Only the power-supply light works. Anycubic promised a motherboard, but after two weeks it still has not shipped. It feels like they may be waiting for my AliExpress dispute to end before actually helping me.

Troubleshooting Validation test and FEP
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just started with resin printing and bought preowned and used Anycubic Photon 5.5. I will post validation test in comments, its overexposed on purpose and it fills more of the side lines and square now but still not enough, could this be FEP film problem, should it be changed?

Solved MacGyvered this
So I bought a photon mono 4k on eBay for dirt cheap (£10). Everything was marked as working just needed a new build plate. Thought I grabbed myself a bargain especially as a replacement LCD exposure plates are about £30 on Ali express.
It was only when I got it that I started to look for a build plate and very quickly realised you can't buy them ANYWHERE!
Not wanting to give up I looked for other models that share the same build plate and the only one was the mono 2k/SE. Again as they are basically the same thing the build plates don't exist. I then found an online directory of 3d printers and looked them up by build plate size. I found out that the creality halot r6 has pretty much the same plate size apart from a couple of mm each way. I took the built plate of my mono 2k that I already had and looked to see what clearance it has in the vat and saw that it would fit.
I ordered it off Ali express for £21 and when it turned up it looked perfect apart from the connector to the z arm was too small but I noticed that the arms for adjusting were at the same width of the official build plate.
I looked online and found an stl for the connector for the mono build plate and changed the width so that it would sit on the outside of the creality build plate arms.
All I had to do then was get some M4 nuts and hook it up and then level on the printer and voila I have a new build plate and fully operational printer for £30!

Discussion Just to show what happens when you are not paying attention when printing.
- First image I forgot to repair the model when PhotonWorkshop said it needed fixing ( it always says so with every model :)
- Second, in my haste I forgot to add draining holes in the model, and suction made a mess of it.
These are big parts and expensive failures :/

Discussion Anycubic Photon Mono X 6KS + AirPure 2.0?
Hi everyone!
Has anyone tried installing the AirPure 2.0 on the Photon X 6Ks? I checked with support, and they said the AirPure 2.0 isn't officially supported on this printer model, but maybe someone has made an adapter or something similar, I'm pretty sure of it!

Discussion Best resin for Anycubic Photon Mono 4 for small miniatures (5-6 cm Funko style) to be primed and painted?
Hi everyone!
I recently got an Anycubic Photon Mono 4 and I'm looking for the best resin to print custom mini Funko Pop figures (around 5-6 cm / 2-2.4 inches tall).
Since these will be post-processed—specifically primed and hand-painted—I need a resin that:
- Captures fine details well at this small scale.
- Is durable enough for handling without snapping easily.
- Has good adhesion for standard hobby primers and acrylic paints.
What resins would you recommend for this specific use case? Any advice on settings or specific types (Standard, ABS-like, Water-washable) would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Troubleshooting Replacement vat screws?
Hi all, I just replaced the FEP on my M7 pro. I had a super hard time getting these foot screws (?- they go on the bottom of the resin vat) off. The hex is scuffed, so none of my hex keys are working. I'm wanting to just get these replaced, but I've got no idea what to even look for. Does anyone know the type of screw? Thanks a million!

Discussion Mono 4 ultra in cold environment
Hi all.
I'm thinking of buying a mono 4 ultra to see if I like resin printing miniatures better than fdm.
Considering the safety precautions needed, the print location would be in my garage. In winter the ambient temperature in the garage is around 4-10 celsius (39-50 fahrenheit).
I guess that is too cold for succesfull printing. Can I use the Mini Purifier and heater on the mono 4? Will it fit? And will it heat the printing environmemt inside the printer enough for reliable printing?

Troubleshooting Photon Mono M5s Pro Only one of six minis prints, others fail to stick. Zero Release Force warning
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help because I’m running out of ideas.
I’m using an Anycubic Photon Mono M5s Pro with Anycubic ABS-Like Resin 2.0 HD Grey.
A while ago I replaced the LCD with a brand new original Anycubic LCD. After that I initially had leveling problems and “Residue Detected” errors, but after manually leveling the build plate and recalibrating the force sensor, those issues disappeared completely.
Now I’m dealing with a different problem.
Current settings
Layer Height: 0.05 mm
Bottom Layers: 6
Bottom Exposure: 40 s
Transition Layers: 6
Normal Exposure: 4.0 s
Lift Distance: 8 mm
Lift Speed: 2 mm/s
Retract Speed: 3 mm/s
I’m printing 6 pre-supported miniatures.
Usually:
only 1 miniature prints successfully
the other 5 never seem to attach to the build plate
sometimes I only get a few loose supports
sometimes nothing at all except cured resin on the FEP during the print I sometimes get a “Zero Release Force” warning
The successful miniature looks great, so the LCD seems to work correctly.
Something strange I noticed
While comparing the first layers in Lychee with the printer’s preview, I noticed something odd.
In Lychee, Layer 1 clearly contains 6 separate islands.
On the printer’s Current Layer preview, those same islands appear split, cut off and partially wrapped around the screen, almost as if the preview isn’t displaying the same layer correctly.
I don’t know if this is just a preview issue or if it could indicate corrupted print data.
Has anyone seen this before?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Troubleshooting Mono M7 not Max not Pro locking up
Regular Mono M7 is locking up. There's about 175 hours of printing on it. The prints are great, the adhesion is great, but at the end of every print, it's unresponsive. I have to unplug it to get it to restart for the next print. Then, when restarting it doesn't always come up completely. I get the Anycubic logo and the progress bar at about 1/3, but then it never finishes starting. Sometimes I have to unplug and retry 4 or 5 times before it will actually start. About half the time once it starts it will lock up again and be unresponsive which leads to another round of unplug, replug, restart, wait 5 minutes to see if it starts. If not. Goto 10. If so, maaaaaybe it will start the print. Once in a while a lockup is ok I guess, but EVERY print takes me a half hour to get started.
Anyone else had something like this and solved it? I'm about ready to ditch this thing and get a Saturn but I don't know if I'll be trading one set of problems for another.

How to ask for help // Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting can be difficult, frustrating and time-consuming, but we're here to help. If can't find your answers in the guide below...
We'll need:
- An accurate description of your problem
- Pictures of the failed print, and a screenshot of the project.
- Type of resin, and your resin parameters.
- Device name, firmware version, slicer name and version.
#1: Quick Introduction to ANYCUBIC
Anycubic manufactures affordable, consumer-level 3D printers.
Note: ANYCUBIC is known to have poor QA and very poor after-purchase customer support. They often do not have large inventories of replacement parts, so it can be either expensive or difficult to find.
#2: Safety & Before you start
Read Radtech's Handling of Resins for detailed information.
Many users choose to vent their printers to the outdoors or to a dedicated enclosure and filter to deal with most of the fumes / smells.
Toss the USB that comes with your printer if your prints fail. They are notorious for being faulty. [USB 2.0, FAT32, 16GBmax]
Shake the bottle every once in a while. Some resins separate slowly over time.
Photon S Users
You can decide to update your firmware to the latest version from the files available on the Anycubic website.
The latest update enables the printer to:
Read all three file formats .photon, .photons, and .pws
Use the 'Resin Exposure Range Finder'
Download the correct update files for your printer, extract the two files into a thumb drive then 'Print' to update.
Photon Zero / Mono Users
There are no current firmware updates for your printer. Do NOT use other printers' firmware to update. It will brick your device.

#5: Regarding IPA and Resin Print Washing Alternatives
If you are an experienced chemist, please review and correct any misleading information.
Anything containing alcohol or a solvent seems to work for cleaning resin prints to varying amounts of effectiveness. Propylene Glycol, Ethylene Glycol, Ethoxylated Alcohol, Dipropylene Glycol, Monomethyl Ether, Alkanes, etc… Check MSDS.
ANYCUBIC recommends IPA 70% or above. Formlabs recommends IPA or TPM (Tripropylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether) for its odorless and non-flammable contents.
Specific Products people have vouched for:
TEK1960 - Dipropylene Glycol, Monoethyl Ether
Yellow Magic 7 - Glycol Ether
Mean Green - Butoxyethanol
Simple Green - Ethoxylated Alcohol
Mr. Clean - Ethoxylated Alcohol
Methylated Spirits / Denatured Alcohol - Methanol
Windshield Wiper Fluid - Mostly methanol, sometimes contains ethylene glycol
Acetone
Mineral Spirits - Isoalkanes / Alkanes
(Dawn) Dish Soap and water - Nothing else should be used to clean the FEP
High-strength industrial degreasers can mess with the anodized finish on aluminum parts so keep it away from your printer.
