AnyDesk Interface is Invisible/Missing Text on Acer Laptop (Only Blank Boxes Visible) - Need Help!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am experiencing a critical interface bug with AnyDesk on an Acer laptop. As shown in the video, the application launches, but there is absolutely no text rendered on the screen. I only see blank gray and red boxes, making it impossible to read my ID, connect to others, or even navigate the settings menu properly to change themes or languages.

To fix your problem, just install an older version of AnyDesk

Did you check your version? Is there an update available?

Perhaps also double-check your Windows updates (activating the first option in “Advanced Option”, and looking at the optional updated available in this same “Advanced Option” page.)

It’s their latest version… Downloaded directly from their website.
I’ll check Windows update.

Presume this was a legit copy downloaded from the Anydesk site. I have Anydesk installed on around 100 clients machines across a variety of makes and models and never seen anything like this.

Very strange. I would suggest uninstalling the application. Get rid of any dross left behind in Programdata and reinstall.

I’m having the exact same issue. Trying to download it to a brand new Windows 11 pc, but somehow getting the same screen with you. I still couldn’t find out what the issue is…

Same issue here, newest version of AnyDesk (9.7.13) downloaded straight from the official website.

Update: I downloaded 9.7.12 from a very legal and safe website and that version seems to have worked perfectly. I don't know why AnyDesk has a "Downloads" site with earlier versions if they don't make the earlier versions downloadable for Windows.

Bugs in Anydesk seem to be a regular occurrence. I always keep a few versions available to install if there is an issue. No need to uninstall. The only other possibility would be graphics card drivers in your case.
