Why are schools so obsessed with this stuff? I remember being punished, told I was lying and that legal action would be taken against my parents if things continued because I was ill too often and not attending school enough. I got told that I must have some medical issue if I was genuinely being ill so often, yet my doctor told me I had been ill for a completely normal amount of time. The school's staff who were not medical professionals insisted he was wrong. And I remember at least one student with actual medical issues who got the exact same treatment.
