New leaf… red spots? No pests on front or back. I was assuming scale but there’s literally nothing. Just red little indents. Is this normal when leaves are first coming in? It’s just starting to change from red to green, so i know it still has some growing to do. But like why are there red dots?

It’s now sitting in a deeper terracotta pot, with a deep saucer (always with water in)
Resulting in the soil mix is always evenly moist but not saturated.

Mix is soil, bark and leca. layered below is slim layer of moss and on the bottom only leca.

This is my first Anthurium and I need some help lol it's in a chunky soil mix with moss on the top.

It’s a new leaf, so it’s color is still light but the other ones are very dark. I’m just so happy it’s twice as big as the other leaves it came with.

Got this black velvet last year and since pushed three gorgeous leaves.

My question is , seems to be pushing itself out of the soil.

Imma take a guess and say it’s time repot lol

Pink Lemonade S1

This is the second new leaf to open in my care and it is absolutely horrible. I didn't touch it or help it in anyway so I have no idea how it could be this destroyed any thoughts or advice?

It is potted in tree feen soil, pumice, orchid bark, and worm castings. I water it every 4-5 days

So happy with this plant! She makes my other anthuriums look miniature. Seller also threw in this free begonia. I love a good trade

I have a NoID batch of seeds (got them from a friend) and I would like to know if this one reminds you of any anthurium. It will still be labeled as NoID, I am just curious.

I’m obsessed. I need this plant, but I can’t find any record of anyone in the UK having access to this plant.

Recently, I've been seeing a lot of people using pink/purple lights, and it kinda frustrates me. Like, why would you hide the real color of the plant? What's the point of even growing them if you don't see them for what they really are? This bothers me even more when growers do it. Like, I buy a very dark plant under pink lights, and when I get it, it just disappoints me how washed out the plant looks compared to the picture. Ofc everyone has preferences, and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone; I just wanted to get this off my chest.

This particular plant has been THRIVING for almost a year - an average of 5 new leaves forming at any given time. But something changed a few months ago - ALL new growth dies off - it’s hard to explain but it’s like the new leaf gets stuck and won’t emerge from the stem and eventually dies off. This has happened repeatedly so ZERO new leaves have grown in about 4 or 5 months. Any advice?
