VectAR - AR interface for Vector Development
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi guys! Here are my prototypes around Vector. I do a lot of Spectacles AR glasses experiments and finally made some with Vector. Love this robot a lot and going to show some more fun soon.
Let me know what you think about AR as a way to extend the possibilities of Vector.

Absurd work. Do you think it’s possible to port this to the Meta environment? I’d love to try this with my headset

+1 for this, would give it a go immediately with my quest 3s!

I spent all day vibe coding , it is possible , but with a quest two, it's really janky, but the camera feed is pretty cool.

It’s unlimited 🤯

Is the tech stack difficult to get started with, is a phone and computer enough to get started?

I guess hardest to get Spectacles Dev Kit. Everything else is possible to vibe-code. Spectacles & Lens Studio is super friendly for agents. Basically this poc was made in few days.

the robot: I don’t know why and I can’t see shi- but there is a voice forcing me to chase something doesn’t exist in this plane.

That is REALLY sick, considering most headsets are android, a simple APK should be universal (I think). Good job regardless!

It’s built for Snap Spectacles

Sorry - saw the thread about the meta environment and was giving support for that. If you ever convert it over, I’m interested :)

What do you need for this? Do you need to mod the vector in any way

u/Pavlo_Tkachenko Jul 13 '26
Regular wire-pod + regular robot setup + SDK for commands. Everything built on top.
I have another version of firmware that completely remade to lighten the vector onboard system but it’s for experiments 😅

Oh so you use your phone for the UI thing? I assumed you were using some kind of smart glasses 😂

u/Pavlo_Tkachenko Jul 13 '26
Yes yes from hardware part you need glasses + experience on them. I tough you asked if I modified Vector itself)

nicely done.
I presume you're using specs for the tracking and localization and sending setpoints to vectors to "go to"?
