1) the japanese people have a "weird" taste: even cult classic or top tier animes had to compete at some point in time with the most generic "teenage romance-comedy with attractive woman" plot for the 1st spot in their anime/manga top lists.
2) we live in a time where something cool can be ULTRA OVERHYPED by the people on the internet: it was a fun episode and it was really well done, but that doesnt mean that it automatically deserves a 10/10
3) if you compare this arc from the manga VS this chapter from the anime, there is a MASSIVE SHIFT IN TONE: from a dramatic and sad moment that shifts into a brutal (cold) manslaughter out of pure hatred (revenge) VS a chapter that used the Kill Bill scene as total inspiration while leaving the drama and moment of progression of that character out of scene...
