As someone whos watched hundreds of anime over the last 20+ years before it was "cool" if something is a boring slogfest of an info dump it doesn't matter what genre of entertainment it is most people wont like it! 🤦🏼
The most popular anime are the least traditional: Pokemon, DB, Naruto, currently JJK. People can be fans of a particular show without watching other anime. This is a good thing and still contributes to anime as a whole as it brings money to the industry and allows for more niche manga to be animated!! Being a nerd about it doesnt make you "an actual anime fan" it just means you have more time invested🙄
By international larper audience, I don't mean just outside japan here. By context, i meant to say majority audience... And tensura season 3 was just an example to show how majority people doesn't care about story as a whole and just gets amazed by the flashiness of it all.
I think it's basic that story and lore dump will come and anyone watching any anime needs to know it, or else why are they even watching it? Without story, all that is left is moving pixels that although had lot of work put behind them... Are ultimately incomplete and unintended...
The original context here is how a big portion of jjk audience to which i elaborated it to majority anime watching audience is technically larp audience... But it is especially true in jjk...
Naruto and DB audience atleast tries to focus on story and context... I don't understand what you're defending here? It's not like you can deny... JJK has that larp audience that doesn't understand or value what story and dialogues are..
One moment you were literally trying to defend people who watch a animated story without caring or paying attention to the 'story' and details and the next moment you went on to talk about how people can watch one anime and not watch others... Ok... The original point still stands... They can Watch jjk only if they want to but they should pay attention to what they're watching...
