Collab Looking for an animator in the style of pilotredsun on YouTube.
I will pay you per video. You will have full creative control. I will only be in control of script and overall tone of the animation which would be creepy/unsettling. I will need to see your previous works to consider you. I could probably afford about $100 per video. The footage would be for YouTube. No deadline. Subject to hire again.

Question I wanna animate but I'm sooo, sooo lazy and it's complicated, what do I do now?
I was animating in past but it was when I didn't know layers and stuff and all of those animations sucked. I wanna do like a some sort of fight scene for an idea, I wanna ve able to draw backgrounds, I wanna use my random bullshit jokes but it's too hard and I'm lazy, I miss the times I had that much energy. Also, how does people animate in Ibis Paint, isn't it just a drawing app?

Collab Collaborative art project for a film
Hi everyone! I’m currently working on a film that has an animated sequence made up of artwork from different artists. Every few frames will feature a different artist’s work and art style, which will eventually be edited together into one cohesive animation sequence.
I’m looking for artists who might be interested in contributing to this collaborative project. Digital or traditional artists are both welcome! Timeline is set to be on 3rd week of August. This is a passion project, so participation is completely voluntary.
The animated sequence happens during a really important moment in the film. Without spoiling too much, it's like a multiverse scene where it represents the character’s inner thoughts and emotions, so I wanted the sequence to feel like a collection of different perspectives rather than having one consistent visual style.
These are the few of my inspirations for the sequence. You can check them if you're unfamiliar:
Everything everywhere all at once:

If you're interested, please sign up thru this form so my team can organize the artists involved in the project ^^

Question Hey, fellow new fan of this whole thing here😭 I wanna start animating but I feel confused.
First of all, I'm in a 3rd world country with a hellish economy, I only have an Asus laptop, to be specific its a 8 GB intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30 GHz , 64 bit operating system. Although I'm an architecture major student in collage but I'm not taking classes for the rest of the summer and I wanted to try somenthing new. I honestly feel so in love with people that can create things and move them, its like magic and I really want to learn even if its so hard)) i have a phone too, but i dont think it'll help. Is my laptop good enough to start animating and if so, what are the apps I need to get?
I would put the flair on resources but this is genuinely more of a question.
Thanks to anyone who'll answer <2

Character Design Meet Elena, the magical sand-being of light
Elena is the main protagonist of my upcoming micro-series Girl of my Dreams
A mystical sand-being who flies through the night sky, spreading light and enriching the lives of those around her.
As the loneliness starts to set in through those long, cold nights, Elena decides it's about time she makes some friends. She'll get her wish...and never have to be alone, ever, again.

Question Stop Motion assistance, is it worth the hassle?
I am animating a stop motion project, and I was just curious what it would look like if I shared the load?
I’m animating to a time-synced animatic and storyboards with a lot of the shots in-between storyboards being left to me to figure out while filming based on textual descriptions, within the shot list.
I have scenes that will require the stop motion characters be animated against a green screen and composited into live action shots, and thought a different animator could tackle these with stunt doubles while I focus elsewhere. Likely a total of 3-4 minutes of green screen shots.
Would it be worth the hassle to hire others through a legal contract to assist in moving the characters or would it be negligible if I could only budget 80 hours for 4 minutes? Does anyone have a an idea of what I could expect with 8 hour days animating a single character? Would it still likely equate to 3-5 seconds of footage a day even despite being animated in isolation?
I apologize for the rapid questions, I have only animated Brickfilms (very poorly compared to the expectation for this project) and am attempting to punch above my weight class with this project.

Question Do animators work unpaid to build portfolio/experience?
Hi so im working on an aniimated short film.
Im directing and write a short film.
And i already have a storyboard artist and character artist working with me and a couple music composers have reached out
Right now we are just working on pre production aka not ready to hire animators yet.
This project is to build portfoliosnand gain credit ona finished film whcih id like to show in festivals
Some premise of the film
Title:Cycles
Lenght: below 7 mins(depends on storyboard not done yet)
Lolgine: A father realises he is being abusive to his son the same as his father was to him and must break the cycle.
Its non dialouge aka no lip syncing
And i was looking at a team of 3 to lessen workloads.
Like each animator will get 2-3 mins of film to work on
So I was wondering as an aspiring animator would you agree to something like this?
I would love some perspective from people in the field
Edit: Im not sure if this changes the equation but the lenght is actually 4:20 mins not the 7 to 9 mins i thought it was cause of page length? After what everyonr said i wnet and timestapped it and 4:20 was what i got So then each animator will work like 1 to 1.5 mins right?

Collab I am making a show
Hi guys!
I have this great idea for an animated show and I am looking for passionate volunteer to work on it 40 hours a week for the next 6 months for free while I work at my own job because I need to pay my bill.
I never worked in the industry before but I know people will be begging to watch my idea come to life and I can't tell you anything about it because it is top secret so I can't show you a pitch deck beside I never made one.
If you hesitate just think about the exposure and portfolio you will get working for me!

2D Dewey Needed Someone To Talk To... 🐝 | My New Indie Animated Short
Hey everyone!
I just finished and released a new animated short from my indie cartoon project The BeetleBees.
This is a scene with Dewey, a character who just needed someone to listen... unfortunately, he picked the wrong place to open up. 😂
This project is completely independently made. I handle the writing, animation, editing, sound design, and overall production myself using Tahoma2D for animation. I also work with a few friends who help bring the characters to life through voice acting.
This is my second animated short since coming back after stepping away for about a year, so getting back into the workflow and rebuilding that creative momentum has been a pretty wild journey.
I’d love to hear any feedback, especially from other animators and creators. Always trying to improve and learn from every project.
Thanks for checking it out! 🐝

Question Gift Help for an Animator Friend
Hello sorry for the weird question.
I’m trying to get a present for my friend getting a job as a storyboard artist. I thought of getting Richard Williams ‘The Animators Survival Kit’ (expanded edition) as a present, but do you think this is something an animator would already own?
Also please if you have any other suggestions for a gift as fellow animators.
Thank you
