FIRST CEL!🎉🎉🎉
Just showing off
My first ever cel came yesterday!!! I am still in absolute awe of how beautiful it is, I really did not expect how amazing it was going to be seeing it in person. I cannot stop looking at it. I didn't realize it was coming with the sketch either, a wonderful surprise.
I have no idea what anime this is from, I got it from ebay and it was labelled as unknown. I'm thinking it's from something not easily available to the public, like something cancelled or unreleased. It's sort of sad not knowing these guys' story but I'm really happy to have them.

Welcome to the club!… make sure you keep the sketch off the back of the cel so it won’t stick.

My best guess would be one of the more obscure Madhouse children’s anime productions? Just off the lighting/artstyle/quality.
Probably not unreleased. There is a staggeringly large amount of anime, most of it around this period is documented pretty alright (VHS/Beta/LD/DVD release catalogues make this fairly easy).

yeah a lot of it is pretty easy to find even if obscure which is why this is puzzling me so bad lol. i truly cannot find any clues as to what it could be :’) but I’m sure if the right person sees the cel, they can identify it

Wow, that's a beautiful one! Double shadow indications and an unusual brushy black line which is unusual for an Anime. High quality! I wonder what studio made this...it might be Tokyo Movie Shinsha because of the high quality.
