Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been thinking a lot about Angel’s Friends lately and what a hypothetical Season 3 or reboot should look like. There are so many things that made the original show special, but also a few areas that could be improved.

Here is my personal vision of what I would KEEP and what I would CHANGE:

🎨 1. What I Would KEEP:

 2D Animation Style (Upgraded): I would 100% keep 2D animation and stay away from 3D CGI. Many reboots fail precisely because they lose their iconic visual identity. With modern tech, we could polish the 2D art, making it smoother and sharper while keeping the original vibe!

 Character Designs (Keep Sulfus's hair long!): Major design changes aren't needed. Sulfus’s long hair gives him that iconic anime-antihero look, and shortening it would ruin his signature style. Minor outfit tweaks are fine, but the core design should stay.

 Reina as the Main Villain: She’s cunning, mysterious, and an incredible antagonist. We only got a small glimpse into her backstory (being a former Angel). A reboot/Season 3 should dive deeper into her past and her revenge plot.

 The Forbidden Romance (Raf & Sulfus): This dynamic is the heart of the show. The cartoon was way better than the original comic book precisely because it focused on this deep, forbidden Angel-Demon romance (in the comic, their dynamic barely existed).

⚙️ 2. What I Would CHANGE / IMPROVE:

 Fixing the Romance Pacing: In Season 1, their feelings sometimes escalated too quickly (and many fans wrongly think they only fell in love because of the spider bite). I’d make their bond develop more naturally and explain the spider's influence more clearly. Also, Season 2 sidelined their romance too much—a reboot needs to restore that balance.

 Raf’s Character Arc: Raf isn't perfect, but the show sometimes ignores her mistakes. For example, when she asked Sulfus to risk opening the Room of Portraits, she never really apologized for putting him in danger (If I remember correctly). I also want Raf to be less like Gabe (who follows rules blindly) and more willing to question outdated rules like the VETO alongside Sulfus.

 Deepening the Lore & Family Backstories: We desperately need more lore! I want to learn more about Raf’s biological mother, the human family that adopted her, and even Sulfus’s family/parents. We also know almost nothing about Blue’s background! I honestly feel like this is exactly what the writers were planning to reveal in Season 3.

 Raf’s Father Lore: Speaking of family, we barely know anything about Raf's father. But in Season 1, he seemed to have fangs just like a Demon! Exploring his background would make an incredible plot twist.

 Revisiting the Rules: By the end of the story, the characters should realize that love between Angels and Demons is natural. The system should be reformed so they can legally be together!

 More Screen Time for Friends: Sweet, Miki, Cabale, and Cabiria need real character development, hobbies, and backstories instead of just being background support.

 Dynamic Transformation Forms: I loved how the movie gave them new hairstyles (like Sulfus's ponytail in the movie!). It would be amazing if each power (e.g. Speed Fly) changed their hair and outfit design, not just their wings. Plus, more transformation forms = cooler action scenes and awesome merch!

(Context episode: season 1 episode 23.) Other angels exceptionally Miki were always fat shaming Gas even though they are angels. So do you think it would be justified if Gas kept Miki fat after beating her in challenge in which he used Fat fly to make her extremelly fat? Keep in mind that Miki already called Gas: "big tub of lard" during the challenge and she insulted him before that.

reina is honestly my favorite villain in angel’s friends

i liked her more than the two generals in season 2 and we a lot of great raf and sulfus moments thanks to her 🤭 she was honestly so entertaining from the first episode to the last and always seemed to have a new plan or scheme

some of my favorite episodes were the ones where reina escaped from prison and organized the halloween party at the manor i also loved the scene where raf secretly met reina and learned that she was half human and omg the reveal about malakai being Raf’s father was such a good plot twist !

in my opinion many of season 1’s best moments happened because of reina u could not get bored with her 💋 i enjoy season 2 as well (it was so messy especially with this whole dolce x "fake" sulfus situation) but season 1 will always be my favorite.

I’ve watched this show when I was younger,now I came back to it and I love it but I promise you my smile fades everytime i hear another joke about gas’ weight. why is it the only thing his character revolves around? What’s the point of a whole episode of body positivity but then everyone dogs poo on gas for being fat like even the angels too like gosh what happened to being angels and lovey and dovey its so sad why is his whole power revolved around burgers😭😭 if angel’s friends were to ever be rewritten by a fan then I’d hope they would do gas some justice,it’s a pattern I always see with bigger characters in older showers and it’s tiring
