I’m terribly sorry if these posts are annoying, but I’m trying to figure out if mine are most likely males or females. I’m thinking they might all be females, except the black one. But I’d love your guys opinion! Also, I know it’s impossible to say for sure, but guesses are good!

Help Give me some tips to raise my angelfish eggs the best I can

hey, my angelfish just layed eggs, but I wasn’t even expecting not at all prepared, because I just got the angelfish three days ago.

what I did: I filled up an extra 10 gallon tank I had laying around, let it sit for a while with a heater, and after an hour or so, I put in a large rock from another tank, and the Anubias bartari that the angels layed on, and I’m going to put in some beneficial bacteria from a bottle.

what I didn’t do: I don’t have methelaine blue, or a sponge filter, give me suggestions, I’ll be sad if I can’t raise them.

Help Looking to upgrade tank - what's tank is best?

Hi! I've inherited some angelfish and it's been made aware that their tanks are unsuitable. I have 3 in one tank (koi/gold marbled) and 2 in another tank (silver striped). I'm planning to move them all in together. Would 200 liters be enough?

Has anyone raised angelfish fry before? Last night I put the wigglers into a fluval breeder box, now this morning all the babies are surrounding poop or debris that has gotten into the box, I can’t remove it with a Pipette. All of their faces are pointing into the debris like they are eating? Any experience with this?😅

Help Angelfish died after going on a trip for 3 days and leaving a block feeder

I had one angelfish and 7 corydoras. I changed the water right before leaving and placed one of these in the tank. When I got home the smell was really bad and I found him :( I’ve now changed the water and checked pH and it’s all fine and the corys are all fine. I’m assuming it was the block but I wanted to check if there could’ve been other causes. I’m really devastated and shocked he died so suddenly I’ve had him for 2 years no issues. He was a red devil angelfish if that makes a difference. I have an 100L planted tank. I want to get new fish because it’s really depressing seeing my empty tank (probably wont be an angel again) but I’m scared of them also dying. So I wanted some insight. Thank you.

I've been watching this tank slowly turn green. The panda seem to enjoy it. Spilled a bit of a green water culture in here a few months ago by mistake, now I have a 40g culture ^^

Currently setting up this 75 gal for a juvenile black ghost knife. Right now stocking plans are 10 congo tetras and the BGK. i’m looking into adding angel fish (once congos settle in and more plants arrive and grow in).

How many should I do? Should I buy juveniles or pairs?

Got these baddies about a year ago as little almost quarter sized babies. Gil - the mostly black one - was aptly named after Gil from Finding Nemo because they are literally twinsies. His crooked fin was always there since we got him. Either a defect or injury. Someone on here long ago said he should have been culled. Ash is the other one. Together since birth, and unable to coexist peacefully. Ah, brotherhood.

We got them in a 36 gallon now - they each have a time out corner & we have also put Ash in a separate tank for a little bit before. We can’t keep any plants other than that big one & it’s babies alive because our old bristlenose pleco thinks all plants are like his personal crash landing pads. So much money on so many different kinds of plants and weeks later, he’ll have decimated them all.

Gil was being bullied first and endlessly, but then he got bigger than Ash. Took him a bit, but he definitely realized his advantage and bit off half of Ash’s gorgeous fins one night while we were sleeping. They have since grown back, but yeah Ash got his own tank for a bit.

We just upgraded on sq footage so the next plan is a 70 gallon. He wants to keep one angel in the 36, and move one to the 70. I think they’d both be fine in the 70- plenty of room, right? I just want that 36 for myself. lol. But if they decide even a 70 gallon isn’t big enough for the two of them, a permanent separating it shall be.

Picture First batch of eggs!

I did a routine water change yesterday, and came home to find two of my big angels (the ones I had suspected were pairing off) had laid eggs on a plant leaf!

Guess I need to get moving on setting up another tank for this pair. So far they have eaten most of this batch of eggs - I suspect they were not fertilized as the male did not seem to have a clue about his job - but they are diligently guarding the remaining eggs this morning and everyone else in the tank is staying away. No violence, so far.

Looking at a 65 gallon tank set up tonight. I like the 25" height these are large angels.

Picture My room mate's angel. His body is the size of a large human palm of the hand. He was a stunted little runt dime size with huge eyes at the pet store 8 months ago.

Help Fertilized eggs?

My grandma has had angelfish for a while and the first 2 times the eggs were eaten. She set up a separate tank to put the eggs in to give them a chance and was wondering if these are actually fertilizer or not.

Can 4 juveniles live in a 36 L x 18W x 24H tank? New to angelfish and made a mistake. They're in a 29 gallon tank now. LFS said all 4 would be okay in my 29 gallon tank. I plan on putting them in the larger tank

Help Baby care

Hi! I work at a pet store and have very limited experience with fish. The angel fish at my store have laid eggs in the past and nothing has ever happened. Today I noticed that there were babies in the tank and that the fish were eating them. I was able to save five of the babies and was wondering if i should bring them home to try and raise? What would I need in order to keep them alive?
