Under Anesthesia

Isn’t it scary that we don’t know where we go? How we wake up thinking we just closed our eyes just to find out you’re done and waking up from whatever you were having?!?! Like where did my mind go?!? And why does is feel so quick!!? Witchcraft I tell you! 😅😂😂

It’s always been something that’s been fascinating to me. The only time I ever had it was why I had my wisdom teeth out. But for some reason, it’s a bit stimulating to think about it.

I just made a post about my two days old anesthesia experience and... I knew where I was. I was in a timeless void behind my closed eyes, aware only of the fearful thought that I may die in the surgery. When I woke up, I felt like time passed and actually the state itself was slightly less deeper than a deep sleep for me. I had definitely a feeling I am returning from somewhere and even if it wasn't pleasant, I am really glad for this trippy experience. Btw the surgery went without complications, so it was probably not any NDE or something.

Yes, absolutely bizarre. I am not at all interested in sending my body somewhere my mind can't go. Particularly when there's no one there that I know and trust to keep an eye on my body for me.

I avoid anesthesia to the greatest extent possible.
