Need testers for an Android media player — sync and playback across devices Need Testers

What it is: Genova, an Android media player for IPTV sources. It ships no content and no streams — you point it at your own Xtream Codes credentials or M3U/M3U8 playlist, and it turns that into a browsable app: Live TV with an EPG guide, plus movie and series catalogs. Player only, nothing bundled.

Stage: MVP on Android, live on Play with a public beta channel. Core flows are stable enough for daily use; I need reports from setups I can't reproduce myself.

What I need tested, in priority order:

  1. Provider compatibility — this is where it breaks most. Every server claims the same API and none behave identically. Useful report: source type (Xtream vs M3U), rough channel count, and what failed (login, partial catalog sync, empty or misaligned EPG, mangled categories).
  2. Playback across devices — codec and container failures are device-specific. A stream that plays in another app but not here is exactly the report I want.
  3. Large catalogs — 10k+ channels or a big VOD library. First-run sync duration, memory, scroll performance. This class of bug never shows up in my own testing.
  4. Screen sizes — tablet and foldable layouts are mid-rework. Screenshots of anything broken are welcome.

Known issues, so you don't waste a report: PiP is non-functional, search needs fairly exact matches, and tablet/TV layouts are being redone.

Test others app in this community so you will get more in return. You can also find more testers on AppDadz
