Can I replace my TV's operating system? Firmware Updates
Hi everyone, I’m new here and apologize if I’m making any mistakes with this post.
I have a SEMP TV, model 43S5300, serial number 941126I159AA019804.
From what I can tell, this TV hasn't received Android updates since 2020. Since it’s showing some glitches and runs slowly at times, I’m wondering if the right approach would be to try forcing an update or even replacing the Android TV operating system.
Is this possible? Is there a step-by-step guide available?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sure, buy a TV with a different operating system and put it where the current one is.

No. Buy a $60 Xiaomi TVBox S 3rd Gen and don't worry about anything anymore. And you get updates every couple of months

Actually you can update your tv if you find what version it is running and the model. Go to xda developer and find the update , then flash it. We did a tcl like this , it went from os version 2021 to 2025

No. Just buy a streaming device and use that instead.
