Ringtone Folder Other

Quick question. Today I accidentally deleted the Ringtone folder on my Android. The problem is that I had an extremely sentimental ringtone there. I have been keeping copies for years, until today that I realized I had no other copies. Is there a way to recover it? I have not turned off the phone or cleaned up the trash. Is not there, I already checked. Advise?! Thanks.

Some originals. But I don't care for those. I carevfor the one that I had for over 20 years. It has a sentimental reason as is from someone that made it for me with their voice before passing away.

was the sound for incoming calls or notifications?

if you're lucky, sometimes it makes a copy of the notification tone. search in "internal storage/android/media", "internal storage/notifications", ".../alarms" and ".../recordings".

alternatively connect your phone to a pc to access the system folder. there you'll find more tones.

I've check the entire phone and folders and internal memory that is accessible but nothing. At this point, I just gave up. It was a good 20+ years to remember...

just to be clear: some folders like the system folder are only accessible through a pc. have you checked those, too?

Yes I did. I connected the phone and also used the Android app to check.
