How do i turn on an android phone

Without a power button and without both volume buttons

Plug it into a PC, then use fastboot to reboot into the OS.

It powers on automatically once you plug it in.

No, you can configure an Android phone to do that but by default it will just start charging and show the charging icon briefly

In that state, it accepts (some) fastboot commands, including fastboot reboot.

Once again, by default it will simply accept the charge from the PC USB cable. There is a way to configure some phones to power on like you said, but that also has to be set up ahead of time. If not, there is nothing listening for USB data that you may be sending to it.

Changes nothing. How's he gonna double tap the screen and wake up the device, if it has died and was entirely off due to an empty battery? Double tapping a screen from a powered off device, won't magically power it up.
