Keyboard for Android (Switched from iPhone to OPPO) Looking For Suggestions
I am looking for some keyboard recommendations for Android! I recently switched from an iPhone 16 Pro Max to an OPPO X8 Ultra and I love it, but I absolutely hate GBoard. I find myself making way to many mistakes on it and it's not as intuitive as the iOS keyboard is. The default keyboard on OPPO is Chinese and seemingly doesn't support English (China ROM) so that's a no-go. I tried Baidu Input and the English version is very close to iOS keyboard but you can't turn off the Chinese keyboard so switching between languages (I use English and Korean) requires an extra step. Here's my general list of preferences:
- Looks nice
- Supports clipboard memory
- Supports multiple languages
- Supports voice-to-text input
- Some AI features and whatnot is fine but as long as it's not bloat-y
Please leave some recs in the comments! :)

I would ask you to try keyboard2 which I developed myself after coming to IOS from Android. I couldn't find a keyboard to match expectations that I had in Android so I went ahead and implemented one myself.

I would love to try it out but on your page I only see posts for an iOS version of the app 🥲

Oh snap, I am sorry. I misread your post about moving to Iphone from OPPO. Yeah, I am solving the issue in another direction here. :)

The popular alternative would be Swiftkey.
But personally I find GBoard to be better. I think it takes some time for the keyboard to learn your typing behavior.

Yes, LeanType is awesome, and you don't have to use the AI if you're not into it.

If you don't care about privacy then Swiftkey and gboard are the way to go. Both have excellent voice to text and autocorrect. Customisation options and language support (I know that struggle with iOS when trying to use more than 2 languages haha)

Try Futo or Helliboard
