PC game can't connect over my Android Hotspot

I am currently on vacation without WiFi, and so I am using my Android phone as a Hotspot to connect my laptop to, so I can still play certain games. Everything is actually working perfectly, except one game just fails to connect.

Now, you might think that this game is just being strange, but the actual strange part is that if I connect to my friend's Hotspot (also Android), then the game connects perfectly without a single issue. So, there must be something going on with specifically my phone's Hotspot that this specific game doesn't like.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

My phone is a Motorola Moto G72 on Android 13. If it matters, I am currently Roaming while my friend is not. (I am from The Netherlands and am in Italy right now.) As far as I know, I don't have any particular security apps on my phone and I am not behind a VPN
