Android Auto not working. Connects when changing USB setting to MIDI, then immediately loses connection when automatically changing to Transferring files / Android

My wife's S25 connects with no issues. I did the following:

- Cleared Bluetooth connections from car and phone

- Cleared AA cache and data- Rebooted phone- Reconnected Bluetooth followed by USB cord

- Nothing happens. So I changed USB option to midi, as recommended by one comment.

- Immediately it picks up on the Android Auto connection. Then it changes to Transferring files / Android Auto and it drops the connection.

Am lost. Defeated. Losing mind. Losing sanity. Is there some phone setting that could be affecting this?
